Easy 3 points against you Brads......I very much doubt it...... :) :) :)

I'm kind of in a similar situation in that my team just aint strong enough to win 2-1-1 at present, maybe another season or so.

When your team aint strong enough, you cant hold out without conceding.... :) :) :)

All tough matches for me though, and no shocks or complaints losing,

Tough league,

Cheers

Day7 Fixtures

Sat, 26 May 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   vs    HaDoKeN F.C
Sat, 26 May 2012   Steel City Blades   vs    Cubana Villains
Sat, 26 May 2012   Bayern Arse   vs    Tipton Tornadoes
Sat, 26 May 2012   FC Town of Luton   vs    The Pink Charlottes
Sat, 26 May 2012   Forever Blowing Bubbles   vs    Didier Drogba Fan Club
Sat, 26 May 2012   Spartak   vs    Tottenham Hotspur
Sat, 26 May 2012   Dynamo St Jude   vs    --------------------
Sat, 26 May 2012   Betty Swollocks XI   vs    Wizards Sleeve FC

Day7 fixtures brings out some big games which could make or break some challengers aspirations at this early stage. TheRomanian and TheCaptain square up in the MOTD and TheCaptain knows if he loses this he faces an uphill battle for a tilt at the title. SCB and TheCuban face off and both know that defeat must be avoided to keep pace with the leaders. Bayern face Tipton and both are struggling at the wrong end of the table, its a must win for both. League leaders FCLuton faces a tricky tie with ThePink, if he wins this the other contenders will take him very seriously. TheBubbles and TheFanClub meet both trying to stay away from the dreaded drop zone. Spartak and Tottenham will battle it out knowing the loser will be in the relegation zone tonite. Dynamo will be looking for 3points but knows he faces a tough challenge. Betty who has seen an upturn in form meets TheWizard who needs the win to keep tabs with the leader and benefit from the obvious drop points from some of the title contenders.

The defending champ TheRomanian capitalised on results around him as he beat TheCaptain at home. SCB and TheCuban fought out a score draw. Tipton took Bayern to the cleaners and resulted in the latter propping up the division. League leaders FCLuton maintained their position with a point at home to the tricky ThePink. TheFanClub pulled off a good result with an away win at TheBubbles. Spartak needed the win against Tottenham who are now ensconsed in a relegation battle. Dynamo had an easy win. Betty and TheWizard battled out a score draw.

UCB is not like the Champions league Chiiii..... :) :) :)

It's not restricted to the top 4 finishers in 2-1-1, you may feel you want to use the same quartet as last season, or pick teams in current form, or even look in 2-1-2,
or even pick the top 4 finishers from last season... 8) 8)

Cheers

Isn't this how we have done it every season though? ;) I feel that quartet would be our best bet anyway, what do you guys think?

Day8 Results

 Sun, 27 May 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   3 - 0    Dynamo St Jude
 Sun, 27 May 2012   HaDoKeN F.C   3 - 0    --------------------
Sun, 27 May 2012   Steel City Blades   2 - 1    Betty Swollocks XI
 Sun, 27 May 2012   Cubana Villains   2 - 0    Wizards Sleeve FC
 Sun, 27 May 2012   Bayern Arse   0 - 0    Forever Blowing Bubbles
Sun, 27 May 2012   Tipton Tornadoes   2 - 0    Didier Drogba Fan Club
 Sun, 27 May 2012   FC Town of Luton   3 - 0    Spartak
 Sun, 27 May 2012   The Pink Charlottes   2 - 0    Tottenham Hotspur

TheRomanian is in good form as he dismantled Dynamo who has had a steady start to his first season. TheCaptain returned to form with a comfortable home win. SCB overcame Betty and still is in contention with the league leaders. TheCuban needed the victory and will be pleased to overcome TheWizard. Bayern got a point to ease their troubles with TheBubbles. Tipton returned to the mid table places with a win over TheFanClub. League leaders FCLuton look proper contenders as they showed great form to easily beat Spartak. ThePink maintained their good start with a home win over Tottenham.

Chiii,

I've been running the UCb from the very first one, and I can say that no it's not restricted to the top 4 finishers in a conference, see the UCb thread

Day9 Results

 Tue, 29 May 2012   UNIV. CRAIOVA   0 - 0    Tipton Tornadoes
 Tue, 29 May 2012   HaDoKeN F.C   1 - 1    FC Town of Luton
Tue, 29 May 2012   Steel City Blades   2 - 0    The Pink Charlottes
 Tue, 29 May 2012   Cubana Villains   1 - 0    Bayern Arse
 Tue, 29 May 2012   Forever Blowing Bubbles   1 - 0    --------------------
Tue, 29 May 2012   Didier Drogba Fan Club   0 - 2    Betty Swollocks XI
 Tue, 29 May 2012   Spartak   0 - 1    Wizards Sleeve FC
 Tue, 29 May 2012   Tottenham Hotspur   1 - 1    Dynamo St Jude

TheRomanian slipped up at home as he could only draw at home with Tipton. League leaders FCLuton produced a good result away at TheCaptain. SCB gained ground on those above as he defeated ThePink at home. TheCuban continued his recent good form as he put more pressure on Bayern who are in the drop zone. TheBubbles gained another three points with a narrow home win. Slow starters Betty continued their good form as they outclassed the disappointing TheFanClub. TheWizard stayed in the Champs League places with a hard fought away win at Spartak. Tottenham and Dynamo shared the spoils but both remain in the bottom half.
