6-1-1 starts off tonight, as brilliantly put on another Conference thread "The chance to be the Xmas No1" with the season of course ending around the Christmas Day mark.

I've had a reality check in pre-season and have had a set of poor results, losing convincingly a number of times. That being said hopefully an increase of gelling and a week of no injuries can improve things!

Towards the back end of last season I went 15 games unbeaten, and 12 games at the start of this season = 27 games in total. Had a great run! But congrats to Steaua Sudului, just can't seem to get a win against my bogey team. Can't expect to get a positive result with 0mins of TA. Hoping to bounce back tonight.

Sad to see former / existing 6-1-1 members RCS United, RKS City, Exodus, King Kennys Army and Naval & Military all now becoming computer teams. All managers were active when I first joined several months ago. Seem to be losing a few recently.

I agree Gull. Quite a few managers have turned into CPU's in 4-1-1 as well. In fact, there has been a number of great managers leaving the game which makes me worry about the pyramid league structure. Do we really need 8 conferences with so many leagues when most of them are taken up by computer teams?  :(

The REAL Madrid in 511 went to a computer last night. Good manager. Long serving. Gone.

Congratulations to 6-1-1 representative STEAUA SUDULUI who have clinched an Elite Cup Final place with a 2-0 victory against Fools United. They set up a mouth watering clash with the Super Imps.

Thanks Gull!
I appreciate your write-ups and wish you luck next season. My squad has reached it's peak.  Next season will start to decline. It's time for you to step up and lead the 6-1-1 division :)

I don't think I've won one game against Imps. He was the one who knocked me out of Champions Shield this season. Maybe I'll win the final, who knows :)

What are you plans mate, sticking around in 6-1-1? Be a shame to lose you but hopefully you can return after a rebuild. With Pathetico Madrid & LL Cuks in  6-x-x now hopefully we can strengthen 6-1-1 in the near future.

6-1-1:  END OF SEASON REVIEW

STEAUA SUDULUI
POSITION: 1st
END OF SEASON FORM: W W W W W -
SUMMARY: With one game to go, Steaua look to go the whole season undefeated as they've powered to the 6-1-1 title. A formidable record of 26 wins in 29 games and only 10 goals conceded, they are worthy winners and have left very good teams In their wake. All on eyes are on the showpiece event tomorrow, as they take on the side that knocked them out of the Champions Shield in the Elite Cup Final. Win or lose, it's been a very successful season for the Romanians.

IM A BLADE FC
POSITION: 2nd
END OF SEASON FORM: W W W W W -
SUMMARY: Im a Blade FC have had a solid season and are runners up to Steaua Sudului. The Blades went on a memorable Elite Cup run, narrowly missing out on a SF spot losing to Super Imps. With only 2 defeats, Chris will probably rue the 4 draws throughout the season meaning he fell short of pushing for top spot. Will come back stronger next campaign.

CSI-MARGATE
POSITION: 3rd or 4th
END OF SEASON FORM: W W W W D -
SUMMARY: Brian's Margate again finishing in a familiar position of 3rd or 4th, probably just pipping Fremfurt to a podium place. Despite only dropping points in 7 games out of 29, this wasn't good enough to mount a serious title challenge. New signing Jaime Lyn Sigler was a particular highlight, the young striker having the 4th highest rating in the division and firing in 16 goals in just 19 appearances.

EINTRACHT FREMFURT
POSITION: 3rd or 4th
END OF SEASON FORM: W D W W W -
SUMMARY:  Gull's Eintracht Fremfurt hinted at a title challenge this season but were blown away by Steaua Sudului and also couldn't compete with the well oiled machines of CSI-Margate and Im A Blade FC. With a rumoured high playing budget, Fremfurt fans will be expecting a genuine title challenge next time around. Early exits in major cups and a disappointing campaign in FL2, the only shining light of the season was a shock 2-1 victory over Super Imps in the Server Cup Round 1. With recent improvement in PL results, Fremfurt will need a vast improvement in consistency should they want to claim a trophy.

FC SIDRA T
POSITION: 5th
END OF SEASON FORM: L L W W W -
SUMMARY: Experienced manager Ag's Fc Sidra T lie in 5th. With a strong squad and very hard to break down in their favoured 2-5-3 formation, Sidra T aren't an easy side to take points off. That being said, Ag may feel a little disappointed finishing 12pts off the top 4 despite the quality of the starting XI. SidraT unfortunately went out in the 1st round of the Elite Cup & ICC cup, going down to narrow victories. A win tonight could sneak them an Elite Cup spot next year.

PYROS
POSITION: 6th or 7th
END OF SEASON FORM: W W D W D -
SUMMARY: Flying the flag for Wales Pyros come in at either 6th or 7th and have had a much improved campaign. Have given a few of the top teams in a 6-1-1 a scare and sides have been made to work hard to take any points off Leighs outfit. With a relatively young squad there's still time for improvement and development. Could be one to watch in the future.

THE KILLERS
POSITION: 6th or 7th
END OF SEASON FORM: L W L W W -
SUMMARY: Newcastle based side The Killers have had a respectable season and look to be finishing in either 6th or 7th. Like may other 6-1-1 sides, their ICC Cup run was over before it started, bowing out of the first round in a crushing defeat to Lucys Wanderers. They will of course try again next season with ICC qualification under their belt. Colin Browns side endured a great end to January as they went unbeaten from 20th January to the 3rd February, picking up an impressive 7 wins and 3 draws. Their end of season form has been mixed, but have picked up some notable results - the pick of the bunch being a 2-1 victory over division big hitters, CSI-Margate.

HUNT PARK ROVERS
POSITION: 8th
END OF SEASON FORM: W D W L W -
SUMMARY: Self proclaimed "yo-yo" club Hunt Park Rovers have proved their manager wrong by not only staying in 6-1-1 for another year, but finishing in a solid 8th place and qualifying for the ICC Cup. Shorterpearson must be happy with 15 wins on their record, as the American side look to be slowly improving game by game. Hunt Park Rovers will be looking to push on next season in the league and the FL3.

RAVENS OF ENGLAND
POSITION: 9th
END OF SEASON FORM: L D D W W -
SUMMARY: Ravens of England who are part of the Munkeespuzz franchise didn't get off to the best of starts, picking up 10pts out of a possible 30 in a slow start to the season. They didn't fare too much better in the ICC 1st round, going down 4-0 in a disappointing collapse to Corinthian Casuals. Things just haven't quite clicked this year and will be hoping a vast improvement next time around.

THE BLURRED CRUSADE
POSITION: 10th
END OF SEASON FORM: W L L L L -
SUMMARY: Always a tricky side to play against, Steve Kilbey will probably be slightly disappointed with a 10th place finish this season. Despite finishing in a lowly position, strangely The Blurred Crusade have fared well against the unbeaten champions Steaua Sudului. Only an inspired performance from Steaua GK Lara Croft meant they went down to a 1-0 defeat yesterday, however they did manage a 1-1 draw against the same opponents back in January. Only a 11th place finish in FL3 suggest consistency may be an issue though - should this improve, there's no reason why The Blurred Crusade can't push towards a top 6 place in the future.

UNIV.CRAOIVA
POSITION: 11th
END OF SEASON FORM: W D W L L  -
SUMMARY: Comfortably finishing above the relegation zone yet never really troubling the Top 8, caretaker manager Steve's team will be guaranteed 6-1-1 Football for the next campaign. With no Friendlies or PL's, it was a hassle free schedule for UNIV. CRAOIVA, who were probably concentrating on survival from the top flight before worrying about anything else. Didn't fare too well against the better sides of the division and only claimed 5 away wins all season.

EXODUS
POSITION: 12th
END OF SEASON FORM: L W L L L -
SUMMARY: Survive relegation.

NAVAL AND MILITARY
POSITION: 13th
END OF SEASON FORM: L L L L L -
SUMMARY: Relegated.

DECKHEAD UNITED
POSITION: 14th
END OF SEASON FORM: L L L L L -
SUMMARY: Relegated.

MUFC
POSITION: 15th or 16th
END OF SEASON FORM: L L L L L -
SUMMARY: Relegated.

PARTACAUSEDCATGAMES
POSITION: 15th or 16th
END OF SEASON FORM: L L L L L -
SUMMARY: Relegated.

ICC UPDATE

The ICC got underway today with two 6-1-1 sides gaining the edge over their 7-1-1 counterparts. EINTRACHT FREMFURT continued their good recent form with a 2-0 away victory over 7-1-1 champions, THE KC SHUFFLE, with goals either side of HT enough to secure victory. STEAUA SUDULUI claimed a win too, striker Rick Kleiner netting an 87th minute winner to dispatch OGRES. HUNT PARK ROVERS mind games proved futile as they were overpowered 5-0 by CORINTHIAN CLOWNS. FC SIDRAT and THE KILLERS suffered narrow defeats exiting the cup to HH BETICOS and THE COCKNEY REJECTS respectively. IM A BLADE FC thrashed THE POMPEY CHIMES 6-1 to ease through to the 2nd round, whilst CSI-MARGATE smashed 14 without reply in an easy run out against BALLYNAFEIGH BADGERS. Result of the day surely comes from Wales where PYROS dumped SURREAL MADRID out of the competition thanks to a 50th minute Kent Cook strike.

Gull this is great stuff mate. I'm not one to look on other conference's forums generally but this is a great read and love to see the amount of effort that you've put into this.
