I don't know what I was thinking earlier, Bailly's ban doesn't have anything to do with this pre-season competition. Had a brain freeze lol

Well that's 1-0 fulltime. Barcelona deserved to win that and on balance of play the scoreline was fair. Quite a good game, plenty of chances for both sides and United could have had a goal or two in the last 7 minutes to snatch it.

Real Madras go 1-0 up after 23 minutes. We started off well but Madras have started to dominate during the last 10 minutes.

1-0 at halftime and Real Madrid deserve to go in ahead. The scoreline could have been VERY different if both Pogba and Lukaku had made sensible decisions during the first half. Oh well, only a goal in it and another 45 minutes to play.

Brilliant goal puts them 2-0 up, probably game over now.

2-1 final score and Real Madras win the Super Cup. A good match that surprisingly could have gone either way despite Real's early dominance.

A mixture of yoof and experience for United's first pre- season friendly against Club America. This back four is probably the back four that's going to start the season:

Grant

Valencia Bailly Smalling Shaw

Herrera McTominay  A Pereira

Mata Martial Mitchell

Mitchell is looking a bit frisky! I think he might break through into the first team this season, along with Chong and Gomes.

0-0 at half-time and Club America have just edged the first half.

Mata gets the equaliser. Great work from Chong who's been great since he came on. This kid is going to be an absolute legend for United.

1-1 final score, a nice run around for the lads and we avoided a defeat so I'm happy enough.

Here's United's team news for the game against San Jose Earthquakes:

J Pereira

Valencia Bailly Smalling Shaw

Herrera Garner A Pereira

Chong Martial Sanchez

It's looking like this back four is going to start against Leicester for the first Premiership match of the season, and Sanchez is starting soon after he got off the plane to the States.

Chong starting too after his impressive performance a few days ago. I'm really hoping that Maureen is going to take a chance on him becoming a first team regular this season. He really is something special but I think Maureen may be a bit cautious with him after he had 10 months out when his knee exploded last season.
