I love to have a whinge me.. feel free to use this thread to whinge about the annoying little things in life.

So I ordered a dvd box set.. to my stupidity I used amazon (who I try not to use if possible) but they were cheaper than everywhere else.

So who the fuck are Amazon Logistics who are trying to deliver my parcel - and why haven't they used the royal mail.  Why use a fucking courier service to deliver a dvd box set?  If I knew they were using a courier I would of used my work address to deliver to.  So they have tried to deliver on wednesday, thursday and today, Friday - at times when there is no-one in to accept the delivery.

OK well they should leave a card, and I can go and pick my parcel up when I can.. no, this courier service dont leave cards, so you cant pick up your own parcel and the nearest depot is a good 30 miles away from me anyway.  Funnily enough the royal mail sorting office is only about 5 minutes drive - shame that.

OK well sort a redelivery out, well bit of a problem, you cant do that online.  You have to ring the courier to sort out a redelivery.. why the fuck would I want to do that, the item in question was an impulse buy, a buy where I didnt have to go to the shops, talk to anyone or get involved in any of the purchase business except for paying for it.  And sorting out a redelivery means I have to be in, which I can't guarrantee I will be when they turn up,   Because they have already attempted 3 times, they wont attempt another one unless I contact them, and sure its just a short phonecall - but its the principal of me having to sort this shit out because they decided to use a courier for a fucking £10 dvd box set.

Added to the fact I didnt get an option as to when I want the item delivered when I ordered nor did I get an option to provide an area the courier can leave the parcel if I'm not in.. they can just get fucked.. I cancelled my order, I wont be using Amazon again in a hurry, I mean, which other fuckwits would use a courier for a dvd for christ sake?  :o

Can you maybe get it delivered to an amazon service address near you?
I've never used the facility, but I know there's 3 or 4 corner shops within a couple minutes drive of my house that I can ask Amazon to deliver to.
Pretend I have a cool signature thing here.
I did, but the host site died and I can't be arsed to find an alternative right now...

Cant do anything without contacting the courier directly.. which I'm not going to, if I knew they were going to use a courier I would of used a different address - I've requested they cancel the order, as I cant process a return - as I dont have the bleeding item - either way, the courier will send the item back to them in a few days even if they dont do anything as I'm not sorting out a redelivery... I cant understand why they didnt use Royal Mail for a simple dvd though

Fucking hell, one word doesn't constitute a whinge :o

Although I have to agree, the ones I've come across have been bad news. Dealing smack in the Turnpike Lane area, involved in various stabbings (as both assailants aand victims) in that area with Albanians fighting over territory and when my Mum came up a few weeks ago and we popped into a Somalian cafe to get something to eat they made it clear that we weren't getting served because we were white. :-\

Like JMAN, I like to have a bit of a whinge but I'll try and keep it brief.

Somalians.

Especially the ones who can racially abuse and assualt people but get let off by judges because they were drunk and not used to alcohol, despite it being against their religion.

Anyway, I'm not going to have too much of a rant, too many things irritate me about our society.

For example, self serving dishonest politicians, greedy corporations, selfish ignorant people, immigrants who think they can turn the country they move to into a version of their own while living off the tax payer (I'm not against immigration per se, or a racist but I can't stand piss takers or a government who others ahead of it's own population but dare to speak out and some lefty liberal will accuse you of being racist or xenophobic (the bloody lilly livered liberals need to be burned at the stake) and prattle on about equality and diversity, while some of the culture we are supposed to tolerate actively discriminate against women in their own cultures, it's a bloody farce, following on from that, the biggest problem there is religion - it's all bullshit and causes so much trouble (not to mention wars) and hatred. Organise a religious day where it's promoted and everyone who is religious goes to their mosque, church, synagogue or whatever, then while they're inside, burn the fucking lot of of them (especially the ones who come round knocking on doors - those ones need to burn slowly from the feet up). We could possibly use the bleeding heart lilly livered liberals as the firelighters). This will get rid of a lot of hatred, paedophiles, nutters etc and solve the supposed housing crisis in one fell swoop (plus there will then be plenty of land left to build new houses where the religious establishments were), speaking of said housing crisis, we don't need more houses we need less people. Every time I hear a politician say "we need more houses" I want to tear their throat out (well every time I hear a politician speak I generally want to tear their throat out, but on those occasions I want to inflict even more pain than I usually do). I won't start on soft judges (like the ones who let off aforementioned racist Somalian thugs, call burglars brave or don't jail drug dealers because they have to look after the youngest of their 22 kids) and those judges, who should probably be burned with the religious nutters, are just a part of the problem with our soft justice system which keeps scumbags in better conditions than many pensioners are living. Speraking of said scumbags, burglars, murderers, rapists, paedophiles, if found guilty beyond all doubt - they should be pig feed. Oh and the honours system, What a joke. Knights these days are generally politician's sycophants or others unworthy of the honour. Too many people getting honours for doing jobs they wanted to do and get paid very well for.

Foreighn aid? WTF are we giving millions to countries like India for, when they are sending rockets to Mars while they neglect large sections of their own population. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd invest some of that foreign aid in some good call centres, instead of the shocking ones that some of the aforementioed greedy corporations force us to use when we are dealing with their shocking service.

As for Amazon, they are just wank anyway. Got too big and don't really care about their customers. It's a shame Play.com went the same way and just became a marketplace.  Who was the courier? Was it Yodel? If so, no wonder there were problems. But then again the Royal Mail (should it still be allowed to be called that),  their parcel delivery service is pretty shit at times as well, but at lest if they don't deliver it you can pick up the parcel from a sorting office, if they have not lost it and the lazy fucker who was supposed to take it back and log it in hasn't lied and said he delivered it, forged a signature on his electronic gizmo and dumped the parcel in the yard of the sorting office in the rain to get ruined because it was a Saturday and he wanted to go home for his lunch. I've had 7 ROyal Mail parcels go missing in the last couple of years, and from a friend who used to work in the Royal Mail's  investigations department, they were probably stolen because their internal security is shit.

Trust me, that was pretty brief. I could go on (but I think I need to go and find some blood pressure medication).

Remember my earlier post on Somalians.

Well yeah, a woman came into work today complaining that EE charged her £12 for her phone bill last month, rather than £8 (I know, devastating...) and she showed me a printed off bank statement....£240 a quid a week for child care benefits, £305 every fortnight for council benefits...So every other week she's picking up £545, totalling around 1.5k every month, tax free...That's more than I earn after tax to the tune of a good couple of hundred quid and I work my bollocks off, and she has the nerve to stand here moaning about a £12 phone bill to me?

Might take my next payslip round to her house, and stand on her doorstep ranting about my tax deductions and requesting my tax money back from her nice little benefits fund she's built up, at the expense of my money.

It's no coincidence Somalians have large families, they know full well more kids = more money, and it;s much easier to pop them out by the dozen than learn a good enough standard of English to work for a living. Vile bunch, they really are.

So Next are being bastards now.

I have a Next online account - which I seldom use these days.  So last week I receive a statement telling me I owe them £3.75 for a next directory and I have until Jun 9th to pay.. so here are a few facts as to why Next can shove that £3.75 up their own arse ->

1.  I haven't ordered or bought anything from them (in-store or online) for nearly 9 months now.
2.  I've had my Next account for over 3-4 years now.. so this isn't a T&C issue I've missed when setting my account up.
3.  I've opted in for paperless statements - so why the fuck have I now got a paper statement.
4.  I actually haven't received the fucking directory!!

So because of their fuck-up, I've got to waste my own time to phone them up to sort this shit out.. why are some companies so intent on pissing their own customers off like this  >:(  I remember them being on Watchdog a year or two ago with the exact same complaint from new account users (who didn't turn off the automatic directory charging thing).. and doing a Google search brings back loads of pages with that same complaint.

I've got a good mind to close my account later when I speak to them - or at least reduce the ridiculously high credit limit they gave me when I set up the account.

Edit:
And just to fuck me off even more, I've just read that their customer services are all indian call center based

£3.75? That's just fucking ridiculous.

Anyway.

First off.

Saturday. I go to the doctor about my hernia (third time about this). He still insists it isn't a problem as it isn't obstructed and the hospital won't operate, so he won't refer me.

I ask him who says it isn't a problem, it's causing pain, stopping me from doing heavy lifting, affecting both work (well the volunatry work I do) and training. I ask him if he's willing to put it in writing that being kicked in the stomach doing martial arts, effectively taking blows on my exposed and unprotected intestine won't cause any problems or risks. So he then says, bearing in mind he's a fat cunt,  "they won't operate unless you lose weight". I point out there's not actuially much fat on my stomach and the problem there is largely caused by the fact that I can't do fucking situps or train properely because of the hernia. I also point out that the situation wasn't helped by their surgery spending 14 years telling me there was nothing wrong with my shoulder and then it deteriorated to the point I could hardly use my arm and the specialist they finally sent me to see says "if we'd caught this earlier we could have done something withhout surgery".

He finally says, very abruptly and rudely, "I've referred you" and practially ushers me out of his office.

So then I get home, and the washing machine packs up. Two years to the day after it was delivered. It gets used at most twice per week, mostly once. So it's had no more than 208 uses in that time.

Obviously out of warranty, I dig out the manual. There's a free five years parts guarantee. So I phone hotpoint. They say, there's a £109.00 plus v.a.t call out charge, then add that if that doesn't fix the problem you don't get the money back. I say I just want the part, I don;t need your call out charge. They say "can't do that". (apparently it does say that in the t and c's).

So I have a rant on their Facebook page, whilst also calling the Co-Op as I purchased it from their online electrical store. They are actually okay about it. The Sale of Goods acts states that where it can be proved that it is due to an inherent  manufacturing fault, the retailer has to repair or replace items where there is a reasonable expectation that it would have lasted for a certain period of time. In the case of white goods, that's up to 5 or 6 years, depending on the cost of the item.

Hotpoint have now agreed to send out an engineer to repair the machine for £85.00, which I should then be able to get back from the Co-Op.

Bloody annoying having to jump through hoops to get anywhere though.

I wonder if we can use the Sale of Goods act with that respect on Liverpool to get Torres repaired or replaced.

If, for expensive items, the Sale of goods act can extend beyond the factory warranty where there is a reasonable expectation that the item should last longer and work as described then if they can't repair him, and the model is obsolete so can't be replaced directly, we'll have to take the Saurez upgrade.

Consumer laws annoy me...Customers annoy me more too.

We have to do mandatory training on every sales related, customer rights laws going, just to be able to be effectively deal with customer objections and know when we can and can't turn them away...Thankfully nothing in massive detail, just to the key points that customers will always try and trip you up on.

Still annoys me when someone comes in because their phone/wireless device/mobile internet etc has packed in and they eventually jump into "You have to give a new one because of my customer rights" and they haven't even got the first clue about what those rights actually are...Even worse when you actually start quoting certain points to them out of the relevant act/law to counter the argument...Never fails to wind them up even more, which can be fucking hilarious most of the time.

It's even funnier still when they start to demand seeing printouts of the legislation that they apparently knew like the back of their hand, and now apparently need to see a copy for something different you've pointed out to them  ;D

Divs.
