Well done to Lucy's Tigers on winning the conference 3 cup today. That 1-8-1 formations is hard to score against, not to mind beat  :(

Congratulations and good luck for the rest of the season.

Congratulations Lucy had a tough run so thoroughly deserved the win. Also the formations that you pull off so well is amazing.

Well done Cove as well a great cup run was nearly stuff of fairy tales I'm sure you will be back next year representing the lower divisions.

That’s my slim title chance well and truly gone now!
Well played Contrast 60-0 on Tactics perhaps should’ve been more than the 1-0 scoreline!
You done the double over me this season and I didnt score against you, no complaints!

Let’s hope your passion for the game comes back sometime soon as C3 will be more competitive next season if you do.

Mr C

Focus firmly on next season. Games like that are a good reminder that the only thing stopping the team being competitive is me.

Going to experiment for the rest of this, like I did last night using wings and moulded. Be interesting to see.

I'm conceding. I can't think of anyone on SL that I like better than Lucy so I'm pleased for her and she has obviously been very, very clever ---  But it takes me back to my oldest complaint in that I reckon a football game that does not pay homage to "proper" football is not a game at all and, in the "real"world, any team playing 1-8-1 would always come unstuck against any opponent playing two or more strikers.

And if tactics alone could change the current circumstances around that'd be even more daft.

What to do I ask myself. Little point carrying on like this and her squad looks set to dominate C3 (and maybe more) for a good while (maybe losing the odd game if she loses both strikers --- but then she can easily take care of that possible flaw). Can't go to C8 because my dear wifey is in that, jump to a conference where there are spaces (but I am gonna do some rebuilding so doubts in my mind) or join another conference in a lower division and work my way up as my new squad gels.

Ideally I'd save a lot of grief by just quitting altogether and taking up a properly dull past-time but I don't think I'm emotionally right for that just now. So what to do, what to do, what to do???
