IT'S CUP FINAL SUNDAY


Today sees the final of the 8th running of the current version of the conference 3 cup.  One thing we know for certain is that we will have new champions today. Wizards are playing in their first final while Rathpeacon are in their second final. Wizards are currently 3rd in 3-1-1 and may start as the favourites but Rathpeacon will be hoping to overcome the trauma of final defeat 7 seasons ago.

Both teams have a full squad to select from. Best of luck to both, (but I hope I win  )

Despite the eager anticipation, this final never lived up to the pre-match hype as Wizards demolished Rathpeacon to win their first ever Conference three cup.

Wizards took the lead after 12 minutes and increased their lead just before half time. Rathpeacon rarely threatened a comeback and the game was effectively over when Wizards went 3-0 after sixty minutes.

Well done to Wizards, deserving champions and thanks to everyone for playing.

Good luck to all involved in the title race. Wizards could still do a league and cup double which has never been done before.....
