CONFERENCE THREE CUP - ROUND ONE
Due to the forum problems, there was no preview for round one but here are the match report:
Rathpeacon 2 - 1 A.C.Upstreet
Defending champions Rathpeacon are through to the semi finals but they had a real scare in round one against AC Upstreet. Upstreet took a deserved lead early in the second half before Rathpeacon levelled after 65 minutes. The tie could have gone either way but Rathpeacon knicked a winner with one minute to go.
Wizards 2 - 0 Blue Star Knights
Defending 3-1-1 champions Wizards are through to the cup semi finals but were pushed all the way by high flying Blue Star Knights. The sides were level at half time before two second half goals put Wizards through.
Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs 0 - 3 Hoarse Whisperers
Conference three supremoes Hoarse Whisperers have never won the conference three cup but could this be their season? They ruthlessly swatched away the challenge of MMMMRS Phoenix Pigs with a 3-0 victory.
Teamo supremo 1 - 2 Purple Gelato
For 85 minutes, this was very forgettable game but Purple Gelato scored and must have thought they were on their way to the semi finals. Their joy was shortlived as Team Supremo equalised within a minute to take the tie to extra time.Extra time was tense and tight but after 111 minutes, Gelato scored again to progress to round two.
