CONFERENCE 3 CUP ROUND ONE

The cup starts today. Good luck to everyone.


Rathpeacon   vs    CSI-Ramsgate   
6th in 3-1-1 travel to play 7th in 3-1-1 in a big game for both sides. Both are having decent if not spectacular seasons. A cup run would be a welcome boost.


Blue Star Knights   vs    The Rumour Mill
Probably the tie of the round. Blue Star are second in 3-1-1 and Rumour Mill are having a very good season in 5th place. Home advantage might be enough for Blue Star to progress.

Bucharest Wanderers   vs    Wizards   
Tough tie here for Bucharest of 3-2-1 who entertain defending cup champions Wizards. Wizards are 4th in 3-1-1 and will be keen to making a winning defence to the cup campaign.

Saiyan Warriors   vs    Hoarse Whisperers
Pyscho Saiyan Warriors host Hoarse Whisperers in what could be an intriguing cup tie. Hoarse lead the way at the top of 3-1-1 but Saiyan are having a good season, sitting in 8th place with an ever improving squad. Could an upset be on the cards here?

CONFERENCE THREE CUP ROUND ONE RESULTS



Rathpeacon   1-3    CSI-Ramsgate  
Rathpeacon took an early lead but CSI levelled before half time. Two second half goals were enough to put CSI into the next round.


Blue Star Knights   4-1    The Rumour Mill
Routinewin for Blue Star who were 2 up inside 26 minutes. Rumour Mill pulled one back on the stroke of half time but Blue Star proved too good with two more after the beark.

Bucharest Wanderers   0-1    Wizards 
A real dogged cup tie here with little quarter given. Wizards struck early in the second half and despite some late scares, held out. The cup defence is up and running.

 Saiyan Warriors   1-2    Hoarse Whisperers
Another tight tie, level at the break, Hoarse took the lead on the hour mark. Two very agressive teams in this one, over 40 frees in total 30 of those conceded by Pyscho Saiyan Warriors

CONFERENCE THREE CUP SEMI FINALS

The top four in 3-1-1 meet in the cup semi finals. I dont think that has ever happened before 


Blue Star Knights   vs    CSI-Ramsgate   
2nd v 3rd in this one. A high quality tie is in score with two excellent teams who strangely have never won the cup but both have come close at different times. One will reach the final, Blus Star might start as favourites but my money is on CSI in this one.


Hoarse Whisperers   vs    Wizards
Super cup tie in store here. Defending cup champions Wizards travel to league leaders Hoarse Whisperers. This one is impossible to call, surely this will go to extra time?
