Two time winners Rathpeacon entertain Saiyan Warriors. League form makes Rathpeacon favourites but Saiyan could produce a shock here.

The Rumour Mill   vs    Sandford St Martin   
Just one point separates these two in the league. Both would welcome a cup run.

Hoarse Whisperers   vs    Black Star Knights   
Double champions Hoarse Whisperers have a tricky round one tie against Black Star. Black Star will fancy their chances here.

CSI-Ramsgate   vs    Wizards   
Two top teams meet here. CSI have been in great cup form in recent seasons but they will need to be their best to win against high flying Wizards.

Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs   vs    Bucharest Wanderers   
Interesting tie here for top flight Phoenix Pigs against 3-1-4 side Bucharest. A big shock may be in the cards.

Texas Oilers   vs    Great Yarmouth Town   
Two of the lower league sides meet here. A great opportunity for one to make the next round.

Dynamo Valley   vs    Lucys Wanderers   
3-2-2 leaders Dynamo Valley entertain top flight Lucy's Wanderers. Another possible shock is on the cards.

i think my Black Star team are too "green" at the moment to take on the double champions. Team strength of 709 vs 800 (Hoarse), so if i can get it to ET i'll hope for a random goal

Great to have 16 teams in the cup again. Thanks to all who took part today.


Rathpeacon   5-0    Saiyan Warriors
Routine win for the home side.

The Rumour Mill   8-1    Sandford St Martin   
Four goals in each half for Rumour Mill who march into round two.

Hoarse Whisperers   2-0    Black Star Knights  
A goal in each half was enough for the double champions to start their cup defence in fine style.

CSI-Ramsgate   0-1    Wizards   
A great cup tie here with no quarter given. Wizards broke the deadlock midway through the second half and hung on for the win.

Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs   3-0    Bucharest Wanderers   
Very clinical display from the 3-1-1 side here, giving their lower league opponents no chance to create a shock.

Texas Oilers   0-3   Great Yarmouth Town   
A hat trick for Joe King was the difference as Yarmouth storm into round two.

Dynamo Valley   1-2    Lucys Wanderers   
Two first half goals put Wanderers in the driving seat but Dynamo scored shortly after the break to set up a tense final twenty minutes.

I only wish I could play my first team more often and then remember to play them in the right positions

Half way through the season and I'm top 

Can't believe it. This is my 19th in 3-1-1 . I finished 3rd last season. That was my best season ever. Really surprised to be leading. Would love to still be here in 15 games time but that's probably wishful thinking.
