Ahh --- A gambling man, perchance ;-).  Nah, I've seen many a hot favourite collapse (or fall foul of the game's foibles) but not three of them as I would need :-).  Not complaining though, this squad has still got a lot of improvement to come in the next 3 or 4 seasons and a top four finish, Conference cup win and a place in the Elite cup final is much more than I expected this time around. I hope all three enjoy the worry

That was a great season. Wizards, Hoarse and Mmmrs should be proud of themselves also. I lost my battle with Brian for 5th place but I'm happy to have qualified for TEL for next season.

and it wouldn't surprise me if we swapped places next season in the league, as we did this time! C3 is truly competitive

Just put my Oilers side into 3-1-1, it’s going to take 3/4 seasons to get competitive but looking forward to the odd upset along the way (hopefully 🤞).

Interesting start to the season. The top 8 have all opened up a big lead over the rest. 7 teams have 9 points, Rumour Mill have 7, hope the chasing pack close the gap soon but it's great to see lots of teams challenging at the top.

Cup update:

I couldnt get above 14 teams so i created two new news called filler one and filler two.

They are effectively computer teams as I wont be setting up either but at least this means we can start the cup.

CONFERENCE 3 CUP ROUND ONE

Rathpeacon   vs    Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs   
The defending champions travel to Rathpeacon for the start of their cup defence. Mmmmrs are in great league form and currently sit 2nd in 3-1-1. Rathpeacon are having a terrible season and have lost their last 5 league games. The champions will be expected to win this one.

Saiyan Warriors   vs    Texas Oilers   
All top flight clash here. Both sides are in mid table in 3-1-1 and would welcome a good cup run. One will get that wish here, will home advantage be enough for Saiyan to shade it?

Black Star Knights   vs    Wizards   
The tie of the round, 3-1-1 leaders Black Star take on 3rd placed Wizards. Black Star have never won the cup while Wizards have 4 cup titles. A win here would be a good start to a first title and maybe a league and cup double?

Dynamo Valley   vs    Hoarse Whisperers   
Dynamo Valley of 3-2-3 host top flight opposition in Hoarse Whisperers. Hoarse are C3's top side but are having a mediocre season by their high standards. Dynamo's young side is getting better each season, could they cause a potential upset here?

Dirtbox United   vs    The Chocolatiers   
First and second in 3-1-4 meet here. The Chocolatiers won the league tie between these earlier in the season and interestingly enough, they meet in the league tonight and in the cup tomorrow. They might be sick of each then.  Good luck to both.

CSI-Ramsgate   vs    Great Yarmouth Town   
CSI have a home tie against 3-1-2 leaders Great Yarmouth Town. CSI have never won the cup but are sitting in 4th place in 3-1-1. Great Yarmouth are having a good season, they will start as underdogs but will fancy their chances of causing an upset.

Sandford St Martin   vs    Filler Team One   
Sandford are sitting 7th in 3-1-1 and playing some good football. They play one of the filler teams here and will expect to win this one by a cricket score 

Kilcully   vs    We Play Like Girls
In the bottom game, Kilcully play the second filler team and will be expected to come through this one.

I think you got the toughest draw. Teams at the bottom have it easy in round one against my filler teams. I suppose its the luck of the draw. I got Mmmmrs so my campaign will be short
