A cracking cup tie that went all the way to extra time. Hoarse got the winner to reach the final.

Superb display by the cup champions who smashed Rathpeacon with 2 goals in each half.

C3 cup final preview


sMAshEd   vs    Hoarse Whisperers
The top two teams in 3-1-1 meet in what is a final between the defending cup champions and the defending league champions. No one can dispute that these are the top two teams in Conference 3 and tomorrow they go head to head to decide the first piece of C3 silverware.
This is the side's 6th meeting of the season. They played out a scoreless draw in the league, sMAshEd won both games in FL1 and a friendly but Hoarse won their Elite cup tie.
It's hard to predict a winner, extra time could be needed.

Apologies all, I was away for the last few days so only getting to the report now.



sMAshEd   0 - 3    Hoarse Whisperers
An awesome display from Hoarse Whisperers was enough to deny sMAshEd a successful defence of their C3 title.
Hoarse enjoyed 62% possession but didnt take the lead until the 43rd minute. Two more goals in the second half were enough to seal the title for the 4th time.

Congratulations to Hoarse, this could be the first part of a league and cup double. Commiserations to sMAshEd but you should be proud of a great cup defence. Thanks to everyone who took part.

Well done Hoarse on completing the league and cup double. Well done to sMAshEd too on bringing the title race to the very last day. Also, great season for Lucy to pip me for 3rd place  :)

The Conference 3 cup is back for season 29 and we have 8 high quality teams lining up in round 1.

Great Yarmouth Town   vs    Lucys Wanderers
Great Yarmouth were cup champions just 3 seasons ago. They regraded to a lower league but have bounced back in style and have secured promotion to 3-1-1 with 6 games to spare. Lucys Wanderers have been enjoying an excellent season and are currently sitting 3rd in 3-1-1.

Saiyan Warriors   vs    SatinStorm
5th v 6th from 3-1-1 here in a game that could go either way


Rathpeacon   vs    CSI-Ramsgate   
4th v 7th from 3-1-1. Rathpeacon have been having an indifferent season and could be relegatd from FL2. CSI could do with a cup run to kick start a season that otherwise may peter out.

sMAshEd   vs    Hoarse Whisperers
The top two sides meet here in a repeat of last years final Hoarse won that day 3-0, can sMAshEd gain some revenge here?

Lucys had most of the possession and chances but Great Yarmouth were more clinical, a goal in each half sees them through.

Saiyan Warriors   0 - 1    SatinStorm   
A great cup tie, full of drama but just with the one goal. Satinstorm scoring 2 minutes after the restart.

Rathpeacon   0 - 1    CSI-Ramsgate
Deserved win for CSI here who might fancy their chances of going all the way this season.

sMAshEd   1 - 0    Hoarse Whisperers
The champions are out in a game that saw almost nothing between the teams. A goal with 15 minutes left was enough to see sMAshEd go through.

3-1-2 leader Great Yarmouth Town entertain Satinstorm in an intriguing semi final. Great Yarmouth won the cup 3 seasons ago and will be eager to win again. Satinstorm are an ever improving side and will back themselves to reach a first final.

CSI-Ramsgate   vs    sMAshEd
CSI Ramsgate entertain double chasing sMAshEd in what will be a tough game for the hosts. sMAshEd lead 3-1-1 by 5 points and beat Hoarse Whisperers in the last round. However CSI are always tough to beat and will fancy their chances here.

Satinstorm are through to their first ever C3 cup final. A goal in each half was enough to see them through.

CSI-Ramsgate   1-2    sMAshEd
sMAshEd are edging closer to a league and cup double. They went two up early into the second half but credit to CSI who pulled a goal back and made things very tense for the final 15 minutes.

SatinStorm   vs    sMAshEd
sMAshEd have just been crowned 3-1-1 league champions and today they will aiming to make it a league and cup double winning season. Standing in their way are SatinStorm who have reached todays final without conceding a goal.
This is the 4th time the two sides have met this season. sMAshEd won both league games and the super cup quarter final but today is a final and finals have a way of taking on a life of their own.

New champions in the cup, thank you all for playing and we'll do it all again next season.

Satinstorm are the conference 3 cup champions for the first time ever. They led on possession and chances created from the beginning but only got the break through after the break after a flick on from Jimmy Greaves. They soaked up some late pressure but held out for a famous victory.
This was sMAshEd's 3rd straight final and for the second year in a row sMAshEd, they have come up short but they should be very proud of another great season.

Well done to SatinStorm on the C3 cup win.
I was hoping to secure a league and cup double this season as I'm about to lose 6 players through retirement so can't see much silverware coming my way again for a while

And good luck to Hoarse Whisperers in the Champions Shield final - Bring it back to C3  8)
