Bugger... Min well beaten in the end.. made a few mistakes.. but just wasn't good enough.  Least I didn't do that Acca lol.

Class apart - this one was nailed on.. 2 horses fell at 2nd from last.. both are fine.

Bugger, Holywell in contention all race and ran a great race.. bloody loose horse got in his way near the end.. dunno if that made any difference.. but Un Temps just outstayed him... close!  Southfield Theatre got a terrible start and then was pulled down by another horse towards the end.

Very undecided on this race hence a small bet... but Annie Power managed to do it.. with style too.  The New One was with the front runners but faded at the last fence.

GET IN.. didn't see/listen to it.. but 2 and 3/4 lengths clear indicate that he won quite easily..

Fuck sake.. Ruby had a great line and race on Yorkhill and Yanworth just couldn't catch him - I knew I should of gone with Yorkhill.. picked him out for Day 1 but he was moved to this race.. and Yanworth caught my eye for this race too.

Bollocks... all going wrong so far.. didn't have the pace at the end.. should of known that the 2nd day is always a lot tougher

Despite having one 1st, two 2nds and two thirds and one fourth - I still managed to lose money today.. 
That £45 free bet I was talking about yesterday transpired to be just a £20 free bet  least I have it for tomorrow races.
Also £20 free bet from SkyBet from not winning the first race.

So I have £6 less profit.. and £6 less in free bets... which is not a major disaster...just hope I have a bit more luck in turning those places into winners tomorrow.

Edit: Actually forgot - I did my first Lucky 15 bet today - bet a whopping £3.60 EW involving Yanworth, Politologue, Josies Orders and Sprinter - actually returned £3.84 because 3 out of the 4 placed - so 24p extra to add!  Woop! lol.

Day 3 Results

13:30 - 1st Black Hercules, 2nd Bristol De Mai, 3rd L'Ami Serge
Excellent.. first race.. first winner of the day!  Was a great race to watch.. and it was neck to neck with Bristol at the last fence.. if Hercules hadn't of won, there would of been a big uproar though.. he was held up by about 2 horses and a loose horse during the race.  Saying that.. the jockey on Zabana wasn't ready at the start.. and fell off when the horse started running..so bit of controversy there - think most of the bookies are refunding.  Ruby's 50th festival winner though.. what a legend.

14:10 - 1st Mall Dini, 2nd Arpege D'Alene, 3rd If In Doubt, 4th Taglitelle
Wow.. close race!  Very exciting to watch.. Arpgene just couldn't make it but fair play to Mall Dini.  Our Kaempfer was 3rd last for most of the race.. and did make up some ground and managed to finish 5th.. which was actually good enough for a payout for me because SkyBet were paying 5 places!  Today is looking much better than yesterday already!

Couldn't watch this but Vautour was a no-brainer really... didn't hear what happened to Dynaste.  Least it helps my Lucky 31 + Double Bet

Wow, what a horse.. Thistlecrack ran amazingly.. absolutely smashed it... Won by about 6 lengths.. and then 20 lengths to 3rd lol

Stayed at work to watch this one.. shouldn't of bothered.. quite clear a quarter of the way round that Art Mauresque had no fucking chance lol.. think it pulled up a few from the end..was never really in contention.  Shame because this could of made my Lucky 31 a real prospect - biggest let down of the day so far.

Limini cruised it from the last 2... Tea In Transvaal was winning for most of the race... just couldn't keep up the pace with the others which was a shame as there was a potential for a place there.. think she finished 5th in the end.. Dusky Legend was a 50/1 shot!  Edit : Tea In Transvaal finished 7th.. oh well, was worth a shot.

17:30 - 1st Cause of Causes, 2nd A Good Skin, 3rd Silvergrove, 4th Knock House
Doctor Harper smashed into the first fence, think it put him off for the rest of the race as he was racing at the back for pretty much all of it - he made a surge but just didn't have it.. The Giant Bolster didn't do much either.  Cause of Causes was riding with Doctor Harper at the end and then just absolutely smashed through the field and obliterated the rest

Lucky 15 won me £19.38 - not a bad return on such a small stake.. but if Art Mauresque would of just placed I reckon we'd be talking over £100 profit there.. a win would of made £300

Day 4 Results

13:30 - 1st Ivanovich Gorbatov, 2nd Apple's Jade, 3rd Footpad
Yes, get in.. had to pick Ivanovich based on the name!  Actually came in from 6/1 to 4/1f so plenty of money went on him.  Was a great race though.. thought Apple's Jade had it as the horse went storming off with 2 to jump.. but was just reeled in by Ivanovich at the end.

Good race.. great run by Superb Story and well deserved winner.. I think I heard both my horses names once or twice.. never in contention and well beaten!

Bloody missed half this race, got pulled away at work lol.  Very exciting race at the end though...anyone could of won lol.  Anyone except mine.. who disappointingly fell away towards the end and didn't finish.  That's messed up my Lucky 15 anyway.. gold cup next.. feeling a bit wary about my choice now lol.. cmon Djakadam!

Wow.. exciting race.. thought Cue Card had it won and then he fell at the 3rd last!!  Don Cossack made a horrible mistake as well.. so when that happened I thought Djakadam had it in the bag.. but Don Cossack rallied and fair play he won it with 3 or so lengths.  BUGGER... would of been £170 odd if he would of come in.. as it is.. just £17.50 back... oh well least it means I haven't lost much today if anything else and 3 races to go.. hopefully one of those comes in too so that the last day isn't a complete waste of time.

16:10 - 1st On The Fringe, 2nd Marito, 3rd Paint The Clouds
Well I left work, but managed to listen to this on the way home.. sounded like a good race.. any of the front 4 being able to win it.  Victoria Pendleton came 5th.. fair play to her.. amazing feat.  She was 9th I think.. and a few of the horses fell.. so perhaps she got a bit fortunate with her placing of 5th.. but still, she was only evens to make it round.. and to finish 5th is amazing.  Knew I should of shunned the free bet to win and had Paint The Clouds each way.. it makes 3 of my 4 (in Lucky 15) come in anyway - so I won 70p from that overall lol.  It Came To Pass fell about 5 from the end.

Bloody hell, Squouateur came in heavily to 2/1  and did absolutely jack shit! 3rd and 4th were 50/1 shots! Nabucco was with the front runners for a while.. but ran out of steam at the last - frustrating - despite not losing any profit - this has been a fairly bad day with only one chance left to redeem it.

17:30 - 1st Solar Impulse, 2nd Dandridge, 3rd Rock The World, 4th Savello
Bloody hell.. so unlucky because Solar Impulse absolutely cained it at the end.. good competitive race though, Velvet Maker was leading the pack for most of the race and obviously ran out of steam... Rock The World came in from 11/1 - 9/2.. thought I might have a winner at the end there which would of returned £140.. but it wasn't to be.. £32.99 back instead.

Well it wasn't the best of days today.. without Ivanovich in the first race it would of been a minor disaster - but I made £40 today so it wasn't a complete waste of time... but overall, £200 for sitting on my arse, and enjoying a great festival of horse racing.. I cant really complain too much about that.   

Highlight of the festival without a doubt was Sprinter Sacre winning the Queen Mother Champion Chase - what an absolute legend.
