Meh. If it had come to Earth instead of the moon it wouldn't have made it through the atmosphere. It was tiny (1m wide).
The one that broke up over Russia last year was 19m wide.
Bearing in mind the fairly small one was 3'000 miles away from the Uk and the positively tiny one was 384'000 miles away from Earth I don't think we need worry.

Mind you...it could have been a UFO and there's a big cover up. 8)
