Swore I wouldn't, but I ended up buying the latest CoD.
Don't know why I keep falling for it.
The matchmaking is terrible (I spend way more time in lobbies than in games) and the maps all seem way too small from the few I've seen so far... :(

Couple the above with possibly the most annoying bug I've ever seen.
If you do rubbish in a game (so most games for me) it'll record your match on your record. If you do well in a game (so once in a blue moon, for yours truly) the game won't record it. Seems to be a bug where if you finish in the top three (so your avatar will stand in the winners circle and pose, post game) you'll get disconnected just as the game ends.
There's rewards for doing certain things - like winning a certain game type - where I've done what's required at least five or six times and yet I don't have the reward.

Even more annoying than the multitude of achievements that never dropped on Forza Horizon 3 😠

Nazi zombies is awesome fun, as always, though.
Pretend I have a cool signature thing here.
I did, but the host site died and I can't be arsed to find an alternative right now...

Achievements and Trophies are ALWAYS a right pain in the arse to test. I don't miss that part of my job AT ALL lol

Some Achievement/Trophy bugs are easy to find and find the cause of them but there are so many that appear completely random (they're not, obviously, but if you can't work out what the cause is they're almost impossible to bug, fix and regress to check said fix).

There are A LOT of 'Once Only' bugs, including crashes, that SHOULD be still open for EVERY game that's EVER been released, you just keep your fingers crossed that Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo don't find them when you Submit the game to them and close the bug with the words 'Closed As Not Seen' lol :o ;D ;D ;D

Missus bought me an X1X for my birthday last week - still yet to play a game in 4K lol - thought I'd give Gears of War 4 a go as that's been one of the games given the treatment - 60GB patch file.  Running a miserly 2MB connection is taking an absolute age to download it - especially since it absolutely throttles our connection and am having to keep pausing it when I actually want to use the internet at home and the internet drops out several times a day - haven't bothered to complain though, Virgin have recently laid their cables in our street - and should be able to move to them next month, 150x faster - gonna seem like bliss.

I did log into GoW4 last night - couldn't play anything as it was still updating, but the title screen looked pretty boss lol.

Other than that, been playing quite a bit of Trackmania Turbo - bit mean to lock some of the courses behind obtaining a certain amount of medals, the course which requires all Golds up to that point can get fucked - that would be a ball-ache.  Also played Nights into Dreams - I went mad for that back in the Saturn days - but whoever dreamt up that game must have been a proper odd-ball.

Yup, the size of stuff at 4K is a bit of a problem. The vast majority of my VR Porn collection is 4K and the files are HUGE for the amount of time the videos are. Luckily I've been with Virgin Media ever since I moved into this flat so my internet speed hasn't been a problem. They upgraded my speed to 200Meg yesterday lol

It seems like Virgin are really upping their game in terms of getting cables down. My Mum in Kent has just had their cables down in her street too.

I would imagine that hard drive space is going to be a major pain in the arse for owners of 4K consoles too.

I'm hoping that Oculus are going to sort out foveated rendering for their second generation VR headset in a couple of years too otherwise they'll be going with 2 x 2K displays instead of 2 x 4K displays. The Rift and the Vive CV1s have 2 x 1K screens.

Oh bollocks. Jusdt spent MORE money on games lol :-[ ;D ;D ;D

The Oculus Store have 3 Complete Your Collection Packs:

Collection 1

Lone Echo
SuperHOT VR
The Mage's Tale
Eagle Flight
Space Pirate Trainer
I Expect You To Die
Blaze Rush

Collection 2

Arizona Sunshine
Star Trek: Bridge Crew
Gun Club VR
Chronos
Wilson's Heart
Project CARS GOTY Edition
Ultrawings

Collection 3

Killing Floor: Incursion
The Climb
Rick And Morty: Virtual Rick-ality
Raw Data
EVE: Valkyrie - Warzone
Dirt Rally
The Invisible Hours

Previous to this all games bundled were all at the same price, around £70-80 for the lot. But now they've listened to feedback and you get the ones you don't have at a cheaper price. I went for Collection Pack 3 and because I already have Killing Floor Incursion, The Climb and Eve Valkyrie (plus Dirt Rally on Steam but they can't really do anything about that lol) I got the others for £44 so they're basically £13.66 each. Pretty good deal.

I was planning on getting The Invisible Hours at some point and now have Rick And Morty and Raw Data now too.

I keep on meaning to get around to watching Rick And Morty so now I have the perfect excuse to. ;D

Haven't played any of those games yet, I've been continuing my play through of Elite Dangerous. Just traded in my Cobra Mk IV for a T7 Transporter. 128 tons of cargo space, but I've replaced some of those with mining equipment so I've got 96 tons of cargo space now. Means I can do a bit serious haulage and trading now plus will be able to make more dosh mining too.

Have done a few more models for my game, a load of tables, and have got another 5 or 6 to do. They're basically three models with different textures. I'm fed up playing games seeing the exact same piece of furniture over and over again so thought I'd have a wide variety of tables and chairs in my game.

Haven't put them in the Unreal Engine yet to see how they look but they should be fine I think barring a little adjustment to the roughness here and there. You can see the new additions on my SketchFab account here:

The Excorcist: Legion VR Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 were released on the 22nd November and I played the first Chapter last night. It starts off pretty sedately but the scare factor goes all the way up to 11/10 at the end of the first Chapter lol :o :-[ ;D ;D ;D

I completed 75% of it the first go so I'm going to have to go in again and complete it 100% once my soiled underwear comes out of my washing machine lmfao :-[ :P :-[

Chapter 2 is now available so I'm going to give that a go over the weekend. I'm normally pretty good with scary games, even in VR, but this one got pretty scary at the end. Still not as scary as Dreadhalls and Alien Isolation though. Those two games have acted as inspiration for my game, Nakamura's Fall. 8)

Fuck me, I downloaded Stardew Valley the other month, just a small indie game in the same vein to Harvest Moon which has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.  Well I've ploughed 130 hours into this bastard game.. mainly because someone at work also has it and I want to 100% it because she's an achievement hunter and she gave up because there are some proper rock hard/grindy achievements in there - I've got 5 left basically and it needs to be done by Christmas otherwise I will abandon this game.

1.  Gain 10million Gold - so just to give you an idea of how grindy this is - at the end of year 2 (about 80 hours in) - I had just over 1 million gold lol - I've come up with a decent way to speed this up, but its taken time to build that setup - I now rake in about 180k-300k on my farm in about 5 minutes and at the moment I'm at 5.5m - so I'd say about 2 - 2.5 hrs should see this complete if I focus on it.

2.  Complete Museum Collection - I have mostly completed this during the course of the game without really attempting it - but this one is completely down to random luck as to whether you will find certain artifacts or minerals, so I may never complete this.  I've done all the minerals, but still have about 6 artifacts to collect - but I think its a waste of time doing this outside of Winter (when there are far more artifact spots) - takes about an hour to skip Spring, Summer and Autumn days without doing anything - I've got a feeling this one could drag on a fair bit.

3.  Find all the Stardrops - the last one I will get by completing the Museum Collection.

4.  Buy All the JoJo Member Levels - I can't even complete this one in the current save file as I completed the Community Center achievement (and I didn't have the foresight to create a second save file to go back too before completing the community center - d'oh).  You need 135k to complete this - but starting from new that will take some time to build up, at least I know the best ways of making money now so hopefully not too long.  Probably leave this one till last.

5.  Complete Journey of a Prairie King without dying - So this is the rarest achievement in the game by far (0.02% of players have it) and I spent about 5-6 hours yesterday playing that fucking mini-game trying this - it took me about 30 attempts just to complete it even with dying!!.  One of my last go's last night saw me get to the final boss (for only the 4th time without dying) just to die with only 3 hits for the boss to take.. I nearly threw my pad at the tv  >:(

Finally did the Journey of a Prairie King achievement last night - part of the mini-game relies on luck in getting enough gold coins to buy the upgrades between rounds.. and I was having a bit of a mare with the coins on the winning run - I hardly got any throughout the game and as such it made the levels much tougher - however, right at the end of the last level (before the boss) I picked up a sheriffs badge (which is the best powerup you can get) - I played it as soon as the boss fight started and absolutely whipped that bitch into shape!  There were a few near-misses - but so glad I've done that one now - 0.02% - must be my rarest achievement I reckon.

Onto 7m gold now too - will finish that one up today and only 3 artifacts to find too - the end is in sight!

Well if you only need 3m gold I can sort that out for you the next time I go mining in Elite Dangerous  :P 8)

Oculus have just released Oculus Home Core 2.0 on the Beta Public Test Channel and it's pretty cool. You can now fully customise your Home environment to look how you want it to including having items from various games you've bought. You can have your Achievements hanging up on your wall if you want and you can have your games and a game console in there too. Place a game in the console, turning the console on makes a Rift appear and you put it on to play the game. A bit too gimmicky for some but I absolutely love stuff like this. ;D

I just gave Doom VFR a go and it's fucking terrible. Released WAY too early and there's no free locomotion option. Luckily someone has done a mod already so I'll give it a go later. One of the biggest problems with it is that the hands are in completely the wrong position and the aiming is off.

I guess that's what happens when Valve let ANYTHING on their Store without curating stuff. There's no way in hell that that would have passed Submission for the Oculus Store.

Well I finished that one off yesterday - there is still that last achievement to go which is to start the game again and to go down the (evil) JoJo route and buy all the upgrades from them (135k required) - I've paid off 15k so far (in about 2 hours) - but now with a bit of money behind me, I can speculate to accumulate!  Luckily I've done all of this before so now how to maximise profits - its still going to take a bit of time - but this game is getting 100%'ed this weekend, whether it likes it or not!!!

Can't be too many people who have done that - its been a bitch.. but I enjoyed the first 80-90 hours of it - its worth buying if you like a farming RPG (like Harvest Moon).

I decided to buy a few passenger cabins and put my mining stuff in storage so now I'm doing sightseeing trips for tourists and transporting rebels and POWs 8)

Fucking hell, this Core 2.0 update for Oculus Home is outstanding. Have been playing Elite Dangerous and watching a couple of episodes of Alfred Hitcock presents on VLC Media Player whilst I'm flying the ship lol. Normally I'd be playing a few tunes whilst playing but having stuff to watch on a floating screen in VR is so awesome. This is The Future :o :P :o 8)

Omfg, the Thargoids have now started to attack space stations!!!!  :o

Going to have to step up my mission completion quite a bit. War is coming and I'm going to need an Anaconda to kick some Thargoid arse next year I think.

Given how many of their ships I destroyed in the 80s, 90s and 00s I reckon they're going to come looking for me soon lol   :P

These stations are outside the main human bubble but it's only a matter of time before they venture into it like they did in the 80s and 90s. ;D

Aw bollocks. I just lost all of my stuff from my ship. I inadvertently unchecked the box that says keep all of your shit when you claim your insurance after getting your ship turned to space dust :-[

Not a BIG big deal because I have the credits handy to buy it all again, it's just a pain in the arse because I have to find it all again. Can't find a Space station anywhere with any shields in stock at the moment. Bloody game lol ;D

Looks like HTC have moneyhatted L.A. Noire VR, Rockstar have hardware locked the Rift out of the game. Someone has circumvented that lock pretty quickly but I'm not interested in buying it. It's 25 quid for just 7 cases. The whole original game plus all of the DLC is available on Steam for the same price. Rockstar can fuck right off if they think I'm going to pay that sort of money for what is effectively a fucking demo. :o
