The match of the day finished The Rumour Mill 3 - 1 Menagerie so Menagerie lose their first game of the season and The Rumour Mill move four points in front at the top.

Third place Jellybellies won 1 - 0 against Oi Prasinoi and are three points behind second place.

Ogres in fourth place six points short are keeping up the chase for a top three place with a 2-0 win at Corinthian Casuals.

A little bit of movement in the bottom three when The KC Shuffle took the points with a 1-0 win at bottom place The Tumbling Sixers.

Seven points below the top three in fourth place are now CSI-Westgate on Sea with a 2-0 win at The KC Shuffle.

Six Games to go.  The Rumour Mill only need one more win for promotion.

Top four all win so positions stay the same.

The Rumour Mill   had a 2 - 0 win against Didier Drogba Fan Club.

Menagerie won 1-0 at The REAL Madrid.

Jellybellies    won 3 - 0 against The KC Shuffle.

Fourth place CSI-Westgate on Sea won 1 - 0 against fifth place Ogres.
Still a seven point gap between third and fourth place.

Bottom team The Tumbling Sixers had a goalless draw against Corkscrew.

The KC Shuffle drop to fifteenth place, just two points above the bottom and seven points from safety.

Oi Prasinoi pulled off a 3-0 win at Naval and Military and move up to fourteenth, five points from safety.

A Selecao Das Quinas sit five points above the bottom three after losing 1-0 at Exodus.

Both Menagerie and Jellybellies joined The Rumour Mill in being promoted.  Now it's who are going to be champions.

Four points in front are The Rumour Mill who had a 1 - 1 draw with the Ogres.

Second place Menagerie won 2-0 at Corinthian Casuals.

Third place, just one point behind are    jellybellies who won 2 - 1 against Corkscrew.

At the bottom, The Tumbling Sixers are relegated after losing 2-0 against A Selecao Das Quinas.

Eleven points from safety are The KC Shuffle who had a 2-2 draw at Naval and Military.

Seven points from safety are Oi Prasinoi who drew 1-1 at Exodus.

Never expected in a thousand years to be promoted this season. I have somehow shot up to FL1 league after league, season after season from FL4. But I thought I would come to a standstill once I reached FL2. What a great season - very chuffed and happy with myself!!! Congratulations also to the Jellies and the Rumour Mill.

What a fantastic league of teams. Good luck to those fighting it out in relegation.

Final Day and the results are in.

A twist in the fight to be Champions.

With a leap from third to second to number one in the last three games, Jellybellies winning   3 - 0   against  CSI-Westgate on Sea , Jellybellies are crowned Champions.

The Rumour Mill finish just one point behind after being held to a goalless draw at Naval and Military.

Menagerie finished third after they drew drew 0-0 at A Selecao Das Quinas which was enough to save  A Selecao Das Quinas from relegation.

At the bottom,    Oi Prasinoi join   The Tumbling Sixers and  The KC Shuffle in being relegated even though they won    2 - 0    against Didier Drogba Fan Club.

The teeniest, teeniest bit gutted that I fell at the last hurdle by losing points against teams at the bottom of the league. But looking at their teams, it is hard to believe they were struggling in the first place since they are stupidly strong. And it is reflective of real-life, too - we see this happen in the football leagues very often! Unpredictability is what makes this game exciting! But I would have loved another trophy in the cabinet. Perhaps next season!

However, also true to real-life are the twists and turns that occur up until the very last game. CONGRATS TO JELLY BELLIES who fought their way to the top up until the last game. They took full advantage when the pieces fell apart in the teams around them. And congrats to the Rumours who finished 2nd!

Really enjoyed FL2 this year. Thank you, Brian, for all your quality write ups. They are always published so promptly after the games are played, too. You are the reason why the game is still shining, and it is gratefully appreciated. Thanks again!
