First match kicks off in half an hour. Team news for United:
De Gea
Darmian Bailly Lindelof Shaw
Fred Pereira Pogba
Mata Rashford Sanchez
Looks like Pereira as the number 6 in a 4-3-3 formation. Shame we didn't get Maguire :'(
-
Pogba puts United 1-0 up after a few minutes with what looked like to me to be a soft penalty. I'm not complaining though lol :P
-
1-0 to United at half-time and the first half has been pretty even. I'd like to see more from United during the second half in terms of attacking play, we haven't created anywhere near enough chances for my liking so far.
-
Lukaku on for Rashford.
-
McTominay on for Fred, a good debut from him.
-
Shaw scores his first ever senior goal in English football and puts United 2-0 up. 8)
-
Bailly switched off for a second and Vardy makes it 2-1. We SHOULD have done enough to grab the three points I think but there's still time left for an equaliser.
-
Phew! That's full time, United won 2-1. Despite that cock up for the goal I'm giving the MOTM award to Bailly.
-
Pogba ended up getting MOTM from most people but Bailly had a better game imo.
So much for the Premier League and ISPs cutting off streamers at the source lol. There are less streams to watch but any streamer with any sense at all will be using a VPN anyway, and the United match yesterday and the Spurs match right now I'm not having to use a VPN myself which is VERY handy. ;D
-
And I've watched/am watching hires streams so far too. 8)
-
Bollocks, Chelsea have just gone 3-0 >:(
A decent performance from them so far too.
-
Man Utd in 7th and Pogba wants to leave, discuss ;D ;D
-
Pogba just wants more money. He's not going anywhere. Even if he wants to go to Barcelona they can't afford the £100m+ transfer fee this transfer window. He's got another 2 years on his contract. This is Maureen's last season and the new manager will end up agreeing a new deal for him next year to match Sanchez's wages.
-
Doesn't sound like Pogba wants more money, sounds like he wants Mourinho sacked. How long before he loses his marbles this season then?
-
He'll probably be gone by Christmas and Zidane will take over. 8)
-
Then no doubt we'd start hearing about Hazard to Utd rumours because of Zidane. Yeah, can't wait for that. ::)
It's not a good situation when player power starts dictating whether managers get sacked. Happened twice at Chelsea in recent seasons, first with Mourinho, then with Conte, where players basically downed tools the season after winning the title.
Not a good route to go down for a club at all.
-
Two times? Probably more than that, but Mourinho was a prick in his second spell, and conte picked fights, Costa, Luiz, Willian, etc.. Mourinho was bought in to win the PL for United, but hasn't got anywhere near it... this is why it wouldn't surprise anyone if he got the boot.
2 games, 2 wins for us, haven't looked great in either though, with Luiz at the heart of defence and Kante playing as an attacking player, I'm not sure Sarri is all there to be honest ;D
-
And arse are gonna get relegated lol
Might be worth putting a tenner on it just for a laugh lmfao ;D
-
but they've played and lost to City and Chelsea, they weren't 2-0 down to Brighton. :P
-
It's my fault cos I'm not watching them lol
Can't even get live radio commentary ANYWHERE :o
Unbelievable. 3-1 down at halftime and we've been shite. Beyond shite in fact. I'm having to watch it via the Sky Sports app commentary. Pretty ridiculous that 5 Live and Talksport haven't got live commentary.
-
Soccer streams on Reddit Harv, bit late now though.
-
Am using hospital wireless. Couldn't watch a stream.
-
Opera mobile VPN?
-
United 25/1 to win the league now, ooosh, get on that harv, you'll make a fortune ;D
-
And of course the anti-United pundits are getting carried away lol. Keown in the Daily Mail has said that this is all down to Maureen unsettling United's defence. But what about three of them being among the favourites to get the MOTM award last week?
It was a bad day in the office. These things happen every now and then, nobody can explain it, it just happens. To every team.
EVERYONE is acting like City are going to have as good a season as they had last year and win the title by 19 points again. City probably won't have a season like that again for YEARS.
-
Bad day at the office... Mourinho has lost the dressing room.. sacked by Christmas.. replaced by Wenger.. you heard it here first ;) ;D
-
If he had lost the dressing room then we wouldn't have won last week. We just had a bad game. It happens.
-
Yep, you keep thinking that.. its happened too many times before though.. Pogba and Martial are clearly unhappy.. even Mourinho is unhappy and half your team are playing like dogshite.. Mourinho's knocked all of the talent out of Sanchez, Rashford is going backwards, Bailly seems to be the new Phil Jones.. the list goes on..
-
Bailly has had ONE bad game. Last week he, Lindelof, Shaw, Fred and Pogba were all in the running for the MOTM award.
It was simply one of those games that can be put down to 'a bad day at the office'. It happens to every side every now and then.
Personally I'd like to see Maureen getting sacked today and see Zidane given the job but it would be daft to do so BECAUSE ONLY TWO GAMES HAVE BEEN PLAYED SO FAR THIS SEASON.
As far as Martial goes it wouldn't be a bad thing for him to leave. He's nowhere near consistent enough to deserve a place in the side and I'm pretty sure that Pogba is just after a better deal.
-
Nearly 80% possession for Chelsea in that first half but they've done bugger all with it so far. 8 shots on goal and only 1 shot on target. They'll need to step things up in the final third to get something out of this match in the second half.
-
A poor performance from Chelsea and they scrape 3 points due to an own goal. Over 80% possession but just 15 attempts on goal with only 3 of those being on target.
You've got to give the manager a bit of time I guess but I haven't been too impressed so far. Early days yet though to be fair.
-
Newcastle didn't come to play football but just to defend, highlighted by the possession stats, jorginho himself had 15%, Newcastles whole team had 18%. So to grind out a win, that's what champions do ;) we may lack the cutting edge up-front and need to tighten the defense, but deserved all 3 wins, so you can be unimpressed all you like, it doesn't change the fact it's been 3 from 3 so far ;D
I've been mightily impressed with Mourinho this season, when he wants to leave, he'll mentally fuck with the team/fans so much that it almost doesn't look like it's his fault.. It's all ed woodwards fault that you lost to Brighton y'know
-
You won't win the Premiership without a quality goalscorer, and Morata certainly isn't one.
Nobody with any sense is looking at Chelsea or Liverpool in terms of Championship material, it's going to come down to United or City again...as long as we don't lose another match during these next few months.
-
Lol, thanks for the laugh harv, been laid up with a cold all weekend, and needed that ;D Mourinhos lost the dressing room, he'll be gone by Xmas with United in the bottom half ;)
-
That's okay, Zidane will take over and have us playing like United again 8)
Plenty of changes for United:
Dr Gea
Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
Herrera Matic Fred
Lingard Lukaku Pogba
;D
-
A bit of a strange system. Herrera is one of three at the back and Fred is playing a more advanced role too.
-
0-0 at half-time, United have had plenty more chances but nowhere near enough on target. Spurs could have had a penalty but it would have been a little soft imo.
-
Poor defending and Kane scores with a free header :'(
-
Bollocks. 0-2 now. >:(
Might be game over unless we can pull one back a bit sharpish :'(
-
Lol, I got it wrong last week, Lindelof is the new Phil Jones! United will never be champions with a defense like that, unbelievable he didn't strengthen it.
Looks like Linda will be ejected from the squad like Bailly was, and another pair of players who look absolute dog shit playing under Mourinho.
Think it's fucking hilarious that plan B is still Fellaini and boot it long... this is the beginning of the Mourinho implode ;D ;D
-
Hope so. I'm pinning my hopes on Maureen either jumping or getting pushed and Zidane taking over lol ;D
0-3 and game over, Moura MOTM by a mile.
-
Not just another bad day at the office? ;D Don't forget, this is your football heritage lololol. Getting whooped at home playing hoofit to Fellaini. Bye Jose.
-
It crazy to see the swing in the teams nowadays. Tottenham are so far ahead of United these days. League between United & City ;D ;D
-
Mourinho really winding United up now with a farewell clap that is just going to fan the sacking flames...lol.. Maybe he's going to resign... Hope not, I think he's doing a stellar job
-
We want you to stay, we want you to stayayyyy, Jose Mourinho, we want you to stay.
-
;D ;D ;D
Another defeat during the next few weeks and I reckon he's gone. Hopefully lol
Then it's time for some Zidane magic.
-
Its amazing how harv can go from United are contenders for the premier league to hoping Mourinho gets the sack within 11 hours ;D
-
I've been wanting him to get the sack for quite some time now. The title isn't out of our reach yet but another 4 defeats will put it out of our reach I think. Generally a title winning side doesn't lose more than 5 league matches during the season.
-
We'll he didn't disappoint with his post-match press conference lmfao :o ;D ;D ;D
-
Here's hoping for a win for Burnley tomorrow. First time in my life I've wanted United to lose. It's always a tough match at Turf Moor for United so here's hoping we get beat, Maureen gets sacked immediately and Zidane starts a nice new job on Monday lol :-[ ;D 8)
-
Nice to see you getting behind your manager and team.
Since United seem to pick up all the Chelsea rejects in recent times, conte has to be in with a shout... That would be hilarious.
But I think Jose is set to stay unless things get ridiculous... Then you might have to get Big Sam in lol
-
I'm normally fully behind the manager at United, I was with Van Gaal right until the end but I've just been so fed up with Maureen these last few months in particular. Well it was to be expected I guess, being his third season and all.
I want United to be playing fast-paced, attacking football again. Something that Zidane will almost certainly do as soon as he gets the job.
Team news for United:
De Gea
Valencia Smalling Lindelof Shaw
Fellaini Matic Pogba
Lingard Lukaku Sanchez
-
We've actually been playing decent football again, like we did for the first half hour last week. :o
Lukaku puts United 0-1 up.
-
0-2 now and a brace for Lukaku. :(
So much for losing this game lol
-
Rashford sent off. Silly boy.
-
Mind you, I sometimes wonder what would happen to these players if they got a REAL headbutt lol ;D
-
Bah. Ended up winning 0-2 So Maureen lives to manage another day. :(
-
United 1-2 up against Watford so far. Difficult to watch because my internet has gone tits up so the match keeps cutting out.
We've actually been playing decent football again these last two matches but I still want Maureen gone.
-
Another three points for United and Maureen keeps his job for another week. Young Boys next...Have always thought that was a funny name, am surprised that Wenger hasn't applied for the job lol ;D
-
Thats United outplayed by Wolves then.....
8pts off the lead already
-
We'll be fine once Zidane takes over 8) ;D
-
Terrible start from United. 1-0 down after 6 minutes.
Zidane can't come soon enough.
I'd quite like to see Cantona given the job as an experiment, just to see how he would do but that's NEVER going to happen lol
-
2-0 now. :'(
-
Getting well and truly outplayed aswell
-
Rashford has just got one back, nice finish too. A goal has been coming since he came on.
Pogba has just been subbed too. That's going to fuel the rumour mill a fair bit.
I honestly think that Pogba has brought up his opinion that United need to attack more during several team meetings and did the right thing by making that public statement. This is the sort of thing that a captain NEEDS to do and he should be applauded for it.
I think Maureen may have started to lose the dressing room now.
And now The Hammers make it 3-1. Game over I think now.
-
I wonder if Snodgrass smells? An unfortunate surname for anyone that used to read the Krazy comic and/or Whizzer And Chips in the late 70s and early 80s lol ;D ;D ;D
I reckon Maureen will go if we lose another couple of matches before Christmas.
-
3-1 final score and a deserved win for West Ham.
-
Mourinhos doing a great job lol, can't wait to see his post match conference
-
Mourinho needs at least one more season at Utd to finish the job. :)
-
He's never done more than 3 seasons in a job during his managerial career so thankfully Zidane can step in before he does too much damage. 8)
He's started to learn English now according to rumours lol
-
I'm torn at the moment. Losing to Valencia will most certainly see him out of the door but I don't want us to lose a Champions League match lol
-
Would laugh my arse off if Conte rocked up instead, wouldn't surprise, United love a Chelsea cast-off
-
Nah, it's Zidane's job. 8)
-
Another terrible performance from United who only decided to start playing for the last 20 minutes against Valencia in their Champions League match. And they were booed off too. He's lost the dressing room, is starting to lose the fans so hopefully he's not too far away from losing his job and giving Zidane a go at the helm. Apart from the last 20 minutes that match was painful to watch at times.
-
Lol, Newcastle 2-0 up in 10 minutes... Newcastle are fucking shit... Mourinho surely can't stay if they lose again ;D ;D ;D
-
And we're a goal down after 8 minutes lmfao ;D
My internet has gone down AGAIN too so I'll probably miss the match.
Fucking hell, 0-2 now lololol
He has to go if we get beat here. :o
-
Just got my internet back now.
-
Mata on for Bailly.
-
And they should have had a penalty there too lol :o ;D
-
And we should have had one as well but I'm happy without it. Anything that pushes Maureen closer to the edge of getting the sack is a good thing imo.
Team booed off by some of the fans.
-
Bollocks. 2-2 now. >:(
-
Maybe it's a player revolt? They decided to play attacking football despite Maureen's intentions lol ;D
-
Ah well, hopefully that keeps him there until we play United... ;D ;D
-
Aw fucking hell, 3-2 To United now. He's definitely keeping his job for a bit longer >:(
-
Good luck jman and drags, and I really mean that this time too lol ;D
-
Yesssssssss!!! 1-0 to Chelsea ;D
Being beaten by Chelsea isn't going to be as sackworthy as being beaten by Newcastle though :(
-
1-0 to Chelsea at halftime. ;D
-
Bollocks, 1-1 now. :'(
-
A brace for Martial makes it 1-2. Could be Maureen's job safe for another week, perhaps? :'(
-
Or maybe not lol ;D
-
2-2 at full time. I don't think a draw away against Chelsea is going to see him getting sacked unfortunately, it could be argued that United were unlucky not to win the game.
-
Unfortunately missed the entire game and Mourinhos supposed meltdown, don't understand why morata started... 2 points dropped for us.. A good point for United
Managed to get tickets for the Derby cup game in a week and a bit.. Only going cos Franks back.
-
Tahith Chong has been training with the first team again. The best Academy player I've seen at United for years. Hopefully he'll get a run out against Juventus this week but this is Maureen we're talking about, he's probably too much of an attacking player to get much of a look in lol :( >:(
I did predict a while back that both Chong and Gomes would break through the first team this season, I hope I'm right. Both players are REALLY special.
-
And we've been piss poor. Again. 0-1 down at halftime and we've had ONE shot on goal. We've hardly been in this game, it's embarrassing. :'(
-
Perhaps he'll get the sack tomorrow..? 0-1 final score and a terrible performance. This wanker can't get sacked soon enough.
-
United 1-0 up against Everton at halftime through a dodgy penalty. They deserve to go in ahead, Martial in particular has caused them all sorts of problems.
We'll probably end up winning this I think so Maureen will continue to keep his bloody job.
-
A cracking finish from Martial makes it 2-0.
-
Stupid showboating from Pogba leads to a penalty, 2-1 now.
-
2-1 final score. Maureen safe. For now.
-
United getting dominated again
-
Bout time United got zidane. Lose today and they might. As they've lost their next 2 already.
-
Well we're 1-0 down so here's hoping lol
-
Bollocks. Martial makes it 1-1. >:(
-
And Rashford scored the winner. 1-2 to United and Maureen keeps his job for a bit longer. :'(
-
Nice brace from Morata yesterday.. that puts him ahead of Lukaku (and Firmino) on goals.. but of course, Chelsea won't win the title because they haven't got a decent striker.. right harv. ;D ;D
P.S. Why do United insist on playing in that awful girly pink kit? It's embarrassing isn't it?
-
I'm not too bothered by the colour of the kit tbh, although I do wonder how the players feel wearing it lol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Ronnie puts Juventus 1-0 up. That's United in third place a point behind Valencia. Maureen HAS to go if we don't make it through the Group Stage, surely? :o
We've actually had a decent game tbh but for some strange reason we've no width and are ploughing most of our attacks through the middle.
-
Mata makes it 1-1 with a great free kick. That puts us in second place now.
-
Bloody hell, 1-2 now. Looks like an own goal after a howler from the keeper. That's turned the Group around! :o
-
Fucking Keown. Best result in Europe? Beating Bayern in the Final in 99 without both Keane and Scholes would go down as the best result in Europe. Fucking Muppet lol ;D
-
1-2 final score. :o
-
That'll keep Maureen safe for a while now I think. Thats a hugeeee result. Love his reaction at the end.
-
Bollocks. 1-0 down after 11 minutes. I wouldn't mind if losing would get Maureen the sack but his job is safe for now I think. :(
-
2-0 down now. We're just giving them a 2 goal head start again, it's all going according to plan. Honest.
-
2-1 now, a cool as a cucumber penalty from Martial. :o
-
3-1 and game over I think. :'(
-
3-1 final score. Such a shame that our comebacks in recent weeks has saved his bloody job otherwise we'd be looking at a new manager. Will probably have to wait until the Summer now. >:(
-
Well I couldn't find a working stream for the Palace match but it doesn't look like I missed anything. 0-0 final score and they were booed off again. :'(
Perhaps his job isn't quite so safe as I thought..?
-
Oh well, at least Chelsea got hammered so it's not all bad lol
-
Another piss poor performance from United with a Fellaini goal in injury time sparing our blushes and getting us through to the last 16 with one game to go. >:(
-
United 1-0 down after 12 minutes. Woeful defending. Again. :'(
-
2-0 now and my stream has gone tits up. Probably just as well because I'm probably going to end up throwing something at my telly if I carry on watching.
I just hope that my internet is stable at 5am tomorrow morning so that I don't miss the Fury fight! :o
-
2-2 at halftime and I've missed three goals but hopefully I've now found a half decent stream. We'll probably end up getting a point and keep Maureen's job safe for a bit longer knowing our luck.
-
Just the 16 points off man city now... ;D
-
Yup. 2-2 final score. TERRIBLE performance AGAIN. He REALLY has to go. >:(
-
He has to STAY, that team selection yesterday ;D He's waiting to be sacked, it's not going to get any better, he did it at Chelsea.. twice!
I reckon he beat up the drinks holder because Fellaini scored... He wanted a 0-0 to get the boot so he could have a relaxing xmas, few mince pies with Looney
-
Yesssssss!!! ;D
0-1 to arse.
Bloody hell. I feel dirty lol :o
A loss here must see Maureen getting the push.
-
Fucking Martial. >:(
1-1. :'(
-
A howler from Rojo makes it 1-2 but fucking Lingard gets one back immediately after. 2-2. :o
-
2-2 final score and another abysmal performance. Is the draw enough to keep his job safe for now?
Good to see Tyson Fury in the crowd too.
-
Oh well, at least Chelsea got beat AGAIN so that's cheered me up a little.
We'll see how the table looks after the Christmas and New Year fixtures have come and gone but currently being 8 points behind 4th is NOT good. >:(
-
Bollocks. United 3-0 up at halftime in a good performance. Shite. This team is doing my head in. If we had lost against arse then Maureen would be gone. If we get beat by Fulham then Maureen's job would be gone. If we hadn't had a load of comebacks starting with Newcastle Maureen would have gone ages ago.
This is bloody infuriating :o >:(
-
An undeserved penalty for Fulham and it's 3-1.
And now Fulham are down to 10 men. That was NEVER a booking.
-
And that's how you beat Citeh, Chelsea were just awesome in the 2nd half
-
8 changes for United and we got beat by Valencia. Fucking wanker. lol
And that included an own goal by Jones.
Young Boys surprisingly beat Juventus, if we had beaten Valencia we could have won the group lmfao.
Maureen REALLY has to go.
-
I feel dirty. I'm cheering on the red scouse gits against United. I want us to get hammered 5-0. ANYTHING to get this wanker out of the door. :-[ :'(
-
1-0 down, missed the goal though cos the stream died for a bit. Only another 4 to go and Maureen will go. I hope.
-
Bollocks. Bloody Lingard with an equaliser >:(
-
2-1 to the red scouse gits now. 18 minutes to go. A defeat by just 1 goal isn't going to be enough to get Maureen out of the door though. :'(
-
3-1 now...another goal or two conceded may see Maureen getting the push.
-
3-1 final score, not a big enough scoreline to see Maureen getting the sack tomorrow I don't think, but every little helps lol
-
United are so shit at the moment ;D ;D 11 points off 4th, 19 points off top. ;D
Mourinho is staying for the season, believe!
-
He has to go before Christmas if there's ANY hope of saving the season.
Give Cantona the job. At least he'd have us playing attacking football again ffs. :o
-
Yesssssssss!!! He's gone!!! ;D
-
I want Nicky Butt as the caretaker and Zidane given the job in the Summer. They'll need to give him a few years to repair the damage to United that the last 3 managers have done though, this isn't going to be a quick fix.
-
Well that's ruined my Xmas.. bah!
Still, you can Conte on United to employ another misfit ;)
-
United gonna win the league next season now. Heard it here first.
-
Jose's 11 signing.
Who has been a hit and whos been a miss?
Pogba
Mkhitaryan
Bailly
Ibrahimovic
Lukaku
Matic
Lindelof
Alexis Sanchez
Fred
Dalot
And err....Lee Grant
-

Actually you can't really judge ANY of them because Maureen made absolutely no effort to play to their strengths and had them in a side that was (just like the players had done with Van Gaal) playing negative football at a slow pace passing sideways every five minutes.
You can't judge the attacking players because they didn't do a great deal of attacking and you can't really judge the defensive players because they were playing defensive practically all the time. Defending is only half of a defender's game in normal circumstances. Our centre backs weren't making driving runs through the middle of the park the way they should have been (especially Jones and Lindelof) and our full backs weren't racing forward, beating opponents with the ball at their feet and sticking crosses in.
Apart from Bailly, Matic and Grant those players should have been spending most of their time pushing forward and leaving defensive duties for when opponents counter attacked.
I'm just hoping that whoever takes over brings us back to playing positive, fast-paced attacking football with penetration again, something we haven't seen since Fergie left. We should be passing forwards, not backwards and sideways.
-
Please let it be Solksjaer, he was absolutely shit at Cardiff! ;D
They've already said it won't be Carrick or Butt, it will be an interim manager, so no zidane or poch, but rumours it will be someone who knows the club..
Cabbage face Brucey & Mr relegation, sparky hughes are still available ;D ;D
The names coming out at some news outlets are hilarious
-
Andy Gray reckons Martinez lmfao :o ;D
-
Classic United
-
Well let's hope his managerial prowess has improved since he was last working in this country lol
I would have preferred Nicky Butt tbh but United confirmed early on that wasn't happening.
So we'll have our Ollie until the end of the season and then Zidane taking over in the Summer. He's left with a right nightmare of a pre-season though.
If I was well enough to work I would have bunged my CV their way, with the work I did on Champ Man I've probably got over a thousand years of managerial experience and I've won every single trophy in the game multiple times.
-
lol.. your season is down the pan if that's true then.
I'm not convinced by Zidane.. he can't even speak English for a start.. those type of guys never last that long.
I reckon United will try and tempt Poch in the summer… another serial loser.
-
Oh dear, its been made official.. ;D ;D ;D What a clusterfuck.. sack one of the most decorated managers in the current game and replace him with someone whose currently managing a team in Norway named after a fungus LOL.
Sacking Moyes not looking like such a bright idea now ey ;) ;D
-
That most decorated manager does the same thing at every club he joins. He starts his job, wins a trophy or two and then pisses off players, staff and/or board members resulting in his club dropping down the table and getting the sack and a huge pay out.
The board extending his contract was one of the most ridiculous business decisions I've seen at club football, everybody could see this happening a mile away.
Zidane will do fine as long as he's given time. It's going to take him a while to get used to the pace and physicality of the Premiership. Pep had the same problem in his first season.
Hopefully Ollie will start United playing decent football again and let our players off the leash.
-
Olli's first match managing United. Hopefully we're actually going to play positive attacking football again.
-
A beautiful free kick puts United 0-1 up early on, great start for Ollie! 8)
-
Herrera with goal number two. ;D
-
A daft penalty given away by Rashford for handball and that's 1-2 now. >:(
-
A great goal from Martial, 1-3 now. That was a real Manchester United goal. 8)
-
1-4 With a Lingard penalty. Not sure how much contact there was there though.
-
And Lingard makes it 1-5.
It's kinda weird what happens when a team starts passing forwards instead of sideways and backwards, isn't it? Who knew? Lol ;D ;D ;D
-
United gonna win the league. Told ya.
Jose is going to be used as such a scapegoat after that.
-
Well we'll have to wait and see what the table looks like after the Christmas and New Year fixtures ave been played. It was only Ollie's first match and it was only against Cardiff so I'm not getting too carried away. I'm just happy that the players have finally been let off the proverbial leash and are playing attacking football again, they're being given some freedom to express themselves and we're actually passing the ball forward again.
-
Didn't Mourinhos side knock 4 past Fulham?
-
Didn't Mourinhos side knock 4 past Fulham?
Yes, both Mourinho and Van Gaal have had a few matches where they scored four goals, but these were very rare occurrences.
I'd love to see the BBC, SKy or BT Sport doing a comparison of the amount of forward passing United did yesterday compared to the average of forward passes during both Van Gaal's and Mourinho's tenures. I'm surprised that none of these channels had it prepared tbh.
Now the important question is, is Maureen finally finished as a manager? He has to be now, surely? There's talk of him getting the Real Madras job but that has to be nonsense, right? Right? :o
-
It's weird looking forward to match days again, it's been a while. :o
-
Dakota starts this afternoon, Martial has had too much Christmas Pud so Mata starts in his place. Herrera on the bench sees Fred start too.
-
Lindelof unlucky not to score but Matic puts it away. Goal from a corner, well worked.
It's so much better seeing United playing with pace. Some of our moves are taking three or four passes to put together whereas under Mourinho we were talking double figures due to a slower pace of attack and passes going sideways and backwards.
Huddersfield looking dangerous from set pieces though.
-
A much better half from Huddersfield, I think we're going to need a second goal.
And we've just got it lol. Another great goal from United. Slick passes in the build up in the goal area and a nice finish from Pogba.
-
Pogba gets number three. A fantastic finish.
This is what happens when you set up a team to play to Pogba's strengths and give him a free role. This is what happens when you play attacking football.
Yes, we've only played Cardiff and Huddersfield under Ollie so far, but the difference between Ollie's United and the United of Maureen and Van Gaal is bloody HUUUUUGE.
-
As bollocks, 3-1 now. I was hoping we'd end up with a clean sheet :(
-
Should have been aw bollocks. Bloody auto correct lol
Very happy with the improvement that he's made in such a short amount of time, that's 8 goals for and only 2 against in two matches.
It's still early days, Spurs will be more of a test but now that United are starting to FINALLY attack teams with width, pace and penetration it's a lot easier to watch them compared to how they were under both van Gaal and Maureen.
If he manages to get a top four place or even CLOSE to a top four place I'll be happy to see him get the permanent job tbh. I'm just glad that we fucked Maureen off before he did too much damage, although I would have been happier to see him sacked earlier.
-
Pogba has been involved in four goals (two goals and two assists) in the two matches that he has played in under Ollie, he was involved in four goals (one goal and three assists) in the last twelve matches under Maureen.
Kind of says it all really tbh. :o
-
Wow. A REAL Manchester United goal puts us 1-0 up. A cracking run with the ball from Rashford sets up Pogba with a goal. Brilliant. 8)
-
And that's number two for Paul Pogba with a brave header from a beautiful cross from Herrera. ;D
-
And that's number three from Rashford. Great finish and a clever cross from Martial. Brilliant. 8)
-
And there goes our clean sheet AGAIN :o ;D
3-1 at half-time 8)
-
Lukaku gets number 4. 8)
And another assist for Pogba too.
-
Oops! Bailly deservedly sent off lol :o ;D
-
Here's a comparison of stats between Pogba playing under Ollie and Pogba playing under Maureen:
Ollie Jose
Games Played 3 14
Minutes Played 270 1136
Goals per game 1.33 0.24
Assists per game 1 0.24
Shots per game 4.33 3.17
Shots on target per game 3 1.66
Chances Created per game 2.67 1.43
Passes per game 96.33 64.17
Passing Accuracy 86.2 82.8
Tackles per game 2 1.11
Interceptions 1.33 0.4
Touches 113.67 86.59
Says it all really lol
I'm surprised none of these newspapers or TV stations or pundits have dived into the stats for passes forward under Ollie, van Gaal and Maureen. I reckon we must be playing three or four times more passes forward compared to playing under those two managers. :o
-
Shit. The latest rumour is that we're going to sign Costa. I fucking hope not, the man is a disgrace to football. Hopefully the more accurate sounding rumour is going to work out to be true - Ollie isn't going to be given any money to spend, and any new players must be free transfers or loan deals.
-
Costa is better than any striker you have at United currently.
-
Costa is better than any striker you have at United currently.
Absolutely. His goalscoring prowess isn't in question. But I don't want that man anywhere near my football club. He's a disgraceful human being, always has been and always will be.
-
Yet harv idolises Cantona.. the guy who kung fu kicked a fan in the face. Costa didn't ever get a PL red card for Chelsea.. he's an angel compared.
Besides, this will never happen, dunno where you even got the idea from.. why would he want to take a step backwards and go to United ;)
-
Cantona kung fu kicked a bigot, Costa is a filthy player that bites people, spits at people and should have had three times more red cards in his career than he has done so far. The man is a disgrace.
-
The Geordies are looking up for this, they're playing very well indeed so far, looking dangerous :o
-
0-0 at half-time with both sides having good chances. It was a close half but United just edged it as the better side, but both sides going in even is a fair half-time result I think.
-
Sanchez and Lukaku come on for Martial and Mata and Lukaku is looking to take the Super Sub name from our Ollie, he scores with his first touch lol ;D
-
Rashford makes it 2-0, nice passing movement from United again. Am surprised that Pogba hasn't been booked. He should have got one yellow for a bit of argy bargy when he was fouled earlier and another yellow for a push on Shelvey.
Not that I'm complaining lol ;D
-
A decent win and a clean sheet. And a draw for Chelsea narrows down that gap to 4th place to 6 points.
4 wins in his first 4 league games, nobody has done that at United since Matt Busby :o 8)
-
And the red scouse gits had their first wobble last night. If the goal line technology wasn't as accurate as it is they might have got a result if that goal had stood!
A bit of time off for some of our players with us playing Reading in the FA Cup tomorrow afternoon, Ollie is bound to be resting a good few of our players and then they're all off to Dubai for a bit of warm weather training like they did last year with Maureen.
And then they're back for Ollie's first proper test against the Spuds. I'm A LOT more comfortable with us playing any of the top 5 under Ollie than I ever was with Maureen and van Gaal, it's going to be interesting to see how he does against better competition.
-
Turns out I got the wrong Costa, thank fuck! It's Douglas Costa not Diego. Phew!
There's talk of us doing a swap for Pogba. Not sure that he'll want to go now that we're playing attacking football again though.
-
arse dropped another 3 points this afternoon. Hopefully Chelsea are going to do the same so that we get closer to 4th place if we beat Spurs tomorrow!
We'll probably be playing deeper than we have been for Ollie's first four matches tomorrow and look to catch Spurs on the break. Maybe 10 yards or so deeper than we have been, so the line isn't going to be quite so high. Ollie has said that we're not going to go naively gung-ho but that doesn't mean that he's going to do a Maureen and play defensively for 90 minutes. We'll still play attacking football I think but we won't be playing with such a high line as we have been lately.
I'm still expecting our full backs pushing forward because when we lose possession our two defensive midfielders will cover them until they can race back again.
A MUCH bigger test for Ollie tomorrow but now that we're playing fast-paced attacking football again I'm A LOT more confident about playing the current top 5 teams than I ever was with Maureen in charge. 8)
I'm not sure if Ollie is going to win tomorrow because winning 6 games on the trot is quite a big ask, not even Sir Matt Busby managed that but I'll be happy with a point away from home tbh.
-
Oh well, they managed to win 2-1. That's a gap of 9 points now, back to 6 if we beat Spurs tomorrow.
-
So after two and a half years Maureen hadn't worked out what his best eleven was. Ollie has worked his out in three weeks lol
De Gea
Young Lindelof Jones Shaw
Herrera Matic
Pogba
Lingard Martial
Rashford
Hopefully we'll carry on with our winning run!
-
We're looking REALLY dangerous on the break.
-
Some great football being played by both sides here this afternoon. A good match to watch so far, there's definitely going to be goals here.
-
Sissoko off injured, could be a big blow for Spurs :o
-
And Rashford draws first blood. A beautiful assist from Pogba and a great finish. Brilliant goal. 8)
-
United a goal up at half-time, Spurs have had 7 attempts on goal but none on target. United have had 5 attempts on goal, 3 on target.
United have been playing with Rashford on the right and Lingard as the number 9. I prefer Rashford out wide tbh.
-
MOTM performance from De Gea, he's been the real difference between the two sides so far. 5 minutes plus Injury Time to go :o
-
A nervous few final minutes and Ollie has won his 6th game. First manager in United's history to do it.
Now level on points with arse, arse in 5th on Goal Difference and 6 points behind Chelsea in 4th.
Would have been a different result if it wasn't for De Gea, an outstanding performance from him.
Next two games are Brighton and Burnley at home. 8)
-
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11606793/manchester-united-counter-attack-thriving-under-ole-gunnar-solskjaer
Some stats that pretty much say EVERYTHING about Maureen's 3rd season:
Opta define a fast break as an attempt created when a team turns defence into attack after winning the ball in their own half. United had three such breaks in the first 45 minutes alone - as many as in their 17 full matches under Mourinho this season.
Indeed, no team in the Premier League had fewer counter-attacks than Mourinho's United. They were joint last alongside Cardiff and Huddersfield with just three. Solskjaer's United have had seven in the past two matches. No team has had as many since he took over. They have gone from the worst counter-attacking side in the Premier League to the best.
That is what parking the bus and passes going sideways and backwards instead of forwards does to a side.
Maureen should hang his head in shame. >:(
United are back. Trophies will follow soon(ish). 8)
-
Harv.. the biggest fair weather fan around - I preferred it when Mourinho was there :(
-
Of course you did. But don't worry, knowing how useless our board is they'll probably give the permanent job to Simeone in the Summer and we'll be back to playing boring defensive football again next season lol :o :-\ ;D
-
Chelsea were godawful today, that's the gap that WAS 11 points when Ollie took over cut down to 3. And our Goal Difference has gone up from what was an embarrassing -1 to +16.
The only concern I have is our second half performances not being great because they look pretty knackered but Ollie and his staff are working on that so hopefully we'll see an improvement during these next few weeks. United have spent so little time attacking these last four and a half years that their bodies aren't used to using that extra energy that these runs take both pressing and running into space during attacks.
I'm just glad that we got shot of Maureen before it was too late like Chelsea did not so long ago. I don't think anyone was expecting Ollie to have this great a start though, that's 7 wins out of 7. :o
-
A few changes for United:
Dr Gea
Young Lindelof Jones Shaw
Pereira Matic Pogba
Mata Lukaku Rashford
Bench: Romero, Herrera, Fred, Dalot, Lingard, Smalling, Sanchez
So it's looking like Herrera is being rested, Martial is injured and we'll probably see Rashford on the left in a 4-3-3 with Pogba as the number 10.
Burnley will probably park the proverbial bus and rely on set pieces to cause us a few problems during counter attacks I think.
-
Decent performance from both sides so far, Burnley have been poor in the final third and United haven't been anywhere near as clinical as they have been during recent weeks.
Burnley have defended well but you can't help thinking that it's only a matter of time before they get a goal.
0-0 at half-time.
-
Terrible mistake from Pereira and Burnley go 0-1 up. :'(
-
Bloody hell, first time I've seen Mata losing his rag, threw the ball into the ground and got booked.
Burnley have defended REALLY well this evening, some of it has been by the seat of their pants though lol
-
Bloody hell, 0-2 to Burnley now :o
Bollocks lol ;D
-
We've had 22 shots on goal and only 4 on target. :(
-
1-2 Now, Pogba from the spot!!!
Time is running out though!
-
2-2 Now!!! 8)
-
That was a mental last 10 minutes or so lol.
The old United appear to be back! Tarkowski was the MOTM I think, Heaton had a great game too.
And City have just got beat. Wankers. ;D
-
Bloody hell, what the fuck happened to Chelsea last night?!!?!? :o
Battered 4-0 by Bournemouth!!! :o
Only 2 points between United and both Chelsea and arse now, am REALLY annoyed that we didn't field a stronger team on Tuesday and got 3 points because then we would be in 5th place and even on points with arse >:(
Both Chelsea and arse are looking like they're going to drop more points than United during this second half of the season though so I'm quite confident that we'll get a top four place at the end of the season. Quite remarkable if Ollie can pull it off considering the mess that Maureen left the club in.
-
Well that's a bit better from Chelsea, they ended up winning 5-0 after that drubbing the other day. :o
Looks like Sarri hasn't completely lost the dressing room just yet!
-
Four changes from the side that faced Burnley:
De Gea
Young Bailly Lindelof Shaw
Herrera Matic Pogba
Lingard Rashford Sanchez
Another assist from Pogba and Rashford put us 0-1 up early on. The Foxes happy to give us possession and are looking to catch us on the break. A risky thing to do with the attacking talent we have. They've started to attack more since we scored though.
-
0-1 at half-time and United have been the better side. Sanchez has had a poor game so far though. And another assist from Pogba for the goal.
Rashford has scored in four consecutive away games now and he should have scored two after missing with his head before he got the goal.
8)
-
Martial on for Sanchez, who's been pretty poor this afternoon.
-
Lukaku on for Rashford.
-
We were kind of hanging on at the end but managed to win 0-1. Not a great performance and they were looking pretty knackered at the end, hopefully fitness levels will improve before we get those tough matches coming up.
-
City 2-1 up against arse at half-time. They've been the better side and should have had a penalty too. :o
-
They ended up winning 3-1 so that's them 2 points behind the red scouse gits and us in 5th place, one point ahead of arse and two points behind Chelsea. 8)
-
6 changes from Ollie this afternoon against Fulham:
De Gea
Dalot Jones Smalling Shaw
Herrera Matic Pogba
Mata Lukaku Martial
Bench: Romero, Bailly, Young, McTominay, Lingard, Rashford, Sanchez
Resting a few players because of Tuesday and Lindelof is injured. Should be enough there to break Fulham down though and get three points. ;D
-
Pogba put United 0-1 up with a decent finish that their keeper should have done better with and Martial gets number two with a nice run and finish. 8)
-
And Pogba makes it 0-3 from the spot. ;D
-
Sanchez on for Martial.
-
McTominay on for Pogba.
-
Bailly on for Herrera and United switch to three at the back.
-
And that's the final whistle, and United continue their unbeaten run to eleven games with a 0-3 win.
United in the top four for the first time since August.
Ollie has made Maureen look like a proper cunt since he took over lol ;D ;D ;D
Hopefully Liverpool are going to drop points at home to Bournemouth and City will hammer Chelsea tomorrow to make my weekend 8)
PSG next in the Champions League on Tuesday at Old Trafford, Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the FA Cup the following Monday then Liverpool at Old Trafford on the 24th February.
For the first time in a LONG time I'm believing that we can beat EVERYONE :o
Mind you, now I've just said that we'll lose these next three matches lololol :-[ ;D
-
Oh well, the red scouse gits have got 3 points :(
And arse too by the looks of things but I don't think they're much of a threat to either us or Chelsea for fourth place, they're WAY too dodgy at the back I think.
-
Plenty of pressure on for both sides today, City are probably favourites to win but Higuain might get a goal or two this afternoon.
-
Well he'll have to get at least 4 for Chelsea to get anything out of this game now, they're 4-0 down after 25 minutes :o
-
5-0 now :o
That's COMPLETELY fucked up Chelsea's goal difference now. They're now equal with us on +17.
-
Ended up 6-0 lol :o ;D
Before Ollie took over we were 11 points behind fourth place with a goal difference of -1. We're now in fourth place, 1 point ahead of both arse and Chelsea and have a +17 goal difference, a +1 advantage over both sides.
Pretty crazy tbh, Maureen said it would take a miracle to get us into the top four before he got sacked...I'm gonna write to the Pope and get a Sainthood sorted out. Saint Ollie. Has a nice ring to it. 8)
-
Chelsea have just had a transfer ban for two transfer windows :o
So when Sarri gets the push the next manager won't be able to make any signings. :o
-
Burnley have just beaten Spurs 2-1 :o
If we beat the red scouse gits tomorrow that's just a 6 point gap between us and third place with 11 games to go :o
Pretty crazy when you think there was 11 points between us and fourth place before Ollie took over.
-
No Matic today:
De Gea
Young Lindelof Smalling Shaw
McTominay
Herrera Pogba
Mata
Lukaku Rashford
Looks like 4-4-2 with a diamond again.
-
Both Rashford and Herrera injured :'(
-
Pereira on for Herrera.
-
And now Mata is injured. Bloody hell lol
-
Lingard on for Mata, Rashford is struggling on.
-
Firmino off injured now, Sturridge on.
-
Lingard injured now :o :'(
Sanchez on. That's our three subs used in the first half. >:(
-
0-0 at half-time, not many chances for either side, a tight game so far. No subs left for us which is a bit of a bugger. Just keeping my fingers crossed we don't get any more injuries. :(
-
0-0 final score, a well disciplined performance after those injuries in the first half. Happy with the result I guess but that's us dropped down to fifth place. We might end up back in sixth when Chelsea play their game in hand.
-
Well Sarri still has his job today which is surprising. I can't see him staying for much longer even if that substitution hoo-hah hadn't happened.
-
Team news for United:
De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Dalot, McTominay, Fred, Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku.
Bench: Romero, Bailly, Rojo, Pereira, Garner, Chong, Rashford
I was hoping that Chongy would get a start on the right but it's looking like Dalot will start there instead. No Gomes either.
-
A nice 15 yard from Shaw taking on and beating defenders followed by a clever lay off to Lukaku who has an easy finish. 0-1 to United.
I've had a nightmare with streams tonight, have missed 20 minutes or so off and on so I'm glad to catch that goal.
-
United a goal up at half-time. It's been pretty even so far but Lukaku and Townsend both missed sitters so it should REALLY be 1-2 to United lol ;D
-
Bloody hell, that was a smart finish from Lukaku. 1-2. 8)
-
De Gea has bashed his leg into the Post. Looks like he's okay to continue though.
Chongy is warming up!!! 8)
Best yoof player I've seen in donkey's years. He's right up there with Giggsy imo.
-
Bollocks, they've got one back. Not great defending, 1-2.
-
Nice build up play from Pogba and Lukaku and Young gets number three from a tight angle. Nice finish.
-
James Garner comes on for Fred in the last minute for his senior debut.
-
And that's full time, a 1-3 win and another three points.
Ollie's record is VERY impressive so far:
P15 W13 D1 L1 F33 A10
And those wins include Spurs away, arse away and Chelsea away, and we've just beaten Palace away who had previously gone 6 games unbeaten.
Not too shabby at all. 8)
-
Team news for United:
De Gea, Shaw, Lindelof, Smalling, Young, Pogba, Pereira, McTominay, Alexis, Lukaku, Rashford
Subs: Grant, Bailly, Rojo, Fred, Dalot, Chong, Gomes
4 academy products starting and 2 on the bench. United have had a crazy run with their academy players. They've had at least one academy product either on the bench or in the starting 11 for every single first team game played since 1937. Has to be a world record. :o
-
Their keeper made a couple of good saves in the first 5 minutes and the Saints should have had a penalty just now. :o
-
Bollocks. 0-1 down, what a fantastic goal :o
That's going to be a strong candidate for Goal Of The Month this month.
-
0-1 down at half-time and it's been quite a feisty half. United have come SO CLOSE to scoring but go in a goal down.
The Saints should have had two penalties in the first half too :o
-
Wow. Another cracking goal, Pereira scores a fantastic goal. Brilliant.
Sanchez adds to the injury list, Dalot on to replace him.
-
Great work from Pereira again assists Lukaku for United's second goal. 2-1 to United. 8)
-
Bloody hell. Another fantastic goal, this one from Ward-Prowse, 2-2 now.
-
Fred on for Pereira. 9 minutes to go. This game could easily go either way.
-
Lukaku gets number three. Nice little layoff from Fred and Lukaku puts it away. The Saints deserve something from this match, they've had a great game.
-
And that's full time. 8)
United back in 4th place now, 1 point ahead of arse who drew against Spurs and 5 points ahead of Chelsea who have two games in hand. United play arse away a week on Sunday and Chelsea at home at the end of April. We're now only 3 points behind Spurs in 3rd place too.
If United end up getting 4th place, let alone 3rd, Ollie should win some sort of award. I'm expecting Sainthood myself, considering it would take a miracle to get United into 4th place according to Maureen lol ;D
-
Bloody hell, Wolves have just scored against the run of play!!! :o
-
Hazard ended up getting one back and it finished 1-1. 2 points dropped.
Arse looking like they're playing with 3 at the back, they look like they're going to attack.
Both Young and Dalot are playing with the latter out wide.
De Gea
Young Lindelof Smalling Shaw
Dalot Matic Fred Pogba
Lukaku Rashford
Bench: Romero, Bailly, Rojo, McTominay, Pereira, Martial, Greenwood.
Was hoping to see Chongy on the bench again but we've still got three academy products on the bench and one starting. It's a real incredible record that United have.
-
That result leaves us (before this match has played) a point ahead of both arse and Chelsea after all three have played 29 games.
If we win this then that puts us 4 points ahead of Chelsea with them having a game in hand and on equal points with Spurs.
-
A rare cock up from De Gea puts arse 1-0 up :'(
-
arse are winning all of the loose balls in midfield at the moment.
-
1-0 at half-time and it's been a very even game so far. If it wasn't for a daft cock up from De Gea we'd be going in level.
I've had a right nightmare with streams today which is annoying!!!
-
2-0 down now due to a soft penalty. In injury time now. Game is almost over.
Unbeaten runs have to end some time I guess :'(
-
And that's it, game over. :(
-
And ANOTHER loss for Chelsea :o
That's us a point ahead of them now with games played even and them three points behind arse.
Sarri is probably getting sacked in the morning :o
-
Ollie's first match as permanent manager and here's the team news:
De Gea
Young Smalling Jones Shaw
Herrera Matic Pogba
Mata Rashford Martial
Bench: Romero, Dalot, Rojo, Fred, Pereira, Lingard, Lukaku
United have lost the last two so a win here against a tough opponent is pretty much essential :o
-
It's all Watford at the moment :o
-
United started to grow into the game after 15 minutes or so after Ollie rearranged the front line. Rashford got the first goal. 1-0 to United.
Mata is now playing as a false 9.
-
An entertaining game so far, Jones is having a great first half.
-
Perhaps NBCSN doing their punditry from a pub in Boston wasn't a great idea lololol :o ;D ;D ;D
All you can hear is Ollie's At The Wheel lol
-
1-0 to United at halftime but Ollie won't be too happy about the game being so open. We completely got overrun in the first 15 minutes playing 4-3-3 with a number 6 but since switching to 4-4-2 with a diamond we've been A LOT better going forward.
-
It's all Watford again at the start of the second half. :o
-
Pereira on for Herrera and Lingard on for Mata.
-
Looks like a switch to 4-5-1 with Matic and Pogba as two defensive midfielders.
-
Martial gets goal number two. The scoreline flatters United but we've taken our chances and Watford haven't. 2-0 to United.
-
Rojo on for Martial.
-
Watford get a deserved goal back, a clever goal too. Makes these last few minutes a bit nervous for us United fans :o
-
Ended up winning 2-1 in the end, shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet.
-
Chelsea just scraped 3 points with 2 goals in the last 7 minutes after going a goal down against Cardiff. They had 21 attempts off target and only 3 on target :o
-
Team news for United, 6 changes:
De Gea
Young Lindelof Smalling Shaw
Fred McTominay Pogba
Dalot Lukaku Lingard
Bench: Romero, Jones, Rojo, Matic, Pereira, Mata, Martial
Every match is a must win for United, Spurs, arse and Chelsea for the race to third and fourth place. We've got the most difficult run in but despite that we're probably looking likely to drop less points than the others since Ollie took over in December. We're scoring plenty and not conceding that many so far since he got the job and have beaten Spurs, arse, Chelsea and PSG away from home.
We've also got only three away matches to play I think, including this one.
-
Good start from United. They're playing with three at the back to match Wolves with Young as the third central defender, Dalot as the right wing back with Lingard and Lukaku up front.
McTominay has put us 0-1 up with a lovely finish.
-
Bollocks, missed an equaliser whilst my stream went tits up >:(
-
1-1 at halftime. A half of two halves lol. It was all United for the first 20 minutes but after they scored the equaliser they were the better side for the rest of that half. Both sides have had the same amount of attempts on goal (7) but United have had one more attempt on target (3).
-
It's all United for the first 6 minutes of the second half, Wolves looking dangerous on the break.
-
Young sent off for a second yellow card. No complaints about that tbh.
We've got a real hill to climb now. Bollocks. :'(
-
Jones on for Fred. United switching from the four at the back they turned to after the sending off to three at the back again. Quite a gutsy switch from Ollie.
-
Shit. 2-1 now. Just 15 minutes to go now.
-
We deserve something out of this, the goal was an own goal from Smalling, they haven't had an attempt on goal yet this half >:( :'( :(
-
Bollocks. 2-1 final score and United were the better side over 90 minutes. Unlucky not to get a point tbh. :'(
Oh well, that's made the top four race more interesting lol :o ;D
-
We've got the most difficult run in but despite that we're probably looking likely to drop less points than the others
Classic Harv, still chatting shit I see. Since Ollie took over... you've gone up and down... zero places. Glad he got the full time job, he won't last 2 seasons ;)
-
Before Ollie took over United were 11 points behind 4th place with a Goal Difference of -1. They're now 2 points behind 4th place and 3 points behind 3rd place with a Goal Difference of +18.
Maureen left the club in a complete mess and what Ollie has done in such a short time is nothing but commendable. 8)
-
Team news for United:
De Gea
Dalot Smalling Jones Rojo
Lingard Fred Pogba
Mata Lukaku Martial
Bench: Romero, Lindelof, Rashford, Pereira, Darmian, McTominay, Greenwood.
Am surprised that McTominay has been dropped after the way he played on Tuesday but perhaps Lingadd needs more game time to improve his match fitness for Wednesday.
-
Playing 4-2-3-1 with Pogba and Fred as the defensive midfielders and Mata in the number 10 position.
-
Looks like they had a decent goal wrongly disallowed for being offside. I'm not complaining lol
-
Pogba puts us 1-0 up from the spot. Not sure if that was a penalty. Might have been. Just. Difficult to tell from the replay.
-
1-0 to United at halftime and it's been pretty even with the Hammers looking dangerous on the break. Poor finishing from both sides tbh.
-
Bollocks, 1-1 now. Another mistake from De Gea. :'(
-
Greenwood and Pereira come on for the last 15 minutes and West Ham hit the woodwork :o
-
Fantastic save from De Gea, makes up for that earlier cock up :o
We've been terrible this match >:(
-
Pogba from the spot again, no doubt about that one, it was a stonewall penalty. 8)
2-1 to United. West Ham deserve a point at least from this game, they've been fantastic.
-
2-1 final score, we were pretty lucky there. The Hammers deserved something from that match but I'll take every point we can get at the moment. ;D
-
Team news for United:
De Gea; Lindelof, Jones, Smalling, Dalot; Matic, Fred, Pogba; Rashford, Martial; Lukaku
Bench: Romero, Sanchez, Mata, Lingard, Pereira, Young, McTominay
Looks like 3 at the back with Fred as the left wing back. :o
-
Bollocks. 1-0 down already lol :o ;D
-
Double bollocks. 2-0 now, two cracking finishes for both goals, it would have been 3-0 if it wasn't for a fantastic save from De Gea earlier on :'(
-
2-0 at halftime and we've been terrible. Our passing in particular has been woeful >:(
-
Two changes at halftime from Ollie, McTominay on for Fred and Young on for Jones.
-
3-0 now and game over, another great finish too. :(
We've been fucking useless this afternoon. :'(
-
And now 4-0. This is now officially a rout >:( :'(
-
Please tell us more about Solksjaer record at United harv ;D

Still better than Maureen's this season. We were 11 points clear of fourth place and now that arse got beat earlier there's only 3 points difference between us in sixth and Spurs in third.
Even if we don't make it into fourth place it's still going to be an improvement over Maureen unless we drop loads of points. The man was a disaster and should be finished as far as top jobs are concerned. I'm surprised that we gave him a job after the complete mess he left at your lot.

Team news for United:
De Gea, Lindelof, Darmian, Smalling, Young, Shaw, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford
Subs: Romero, Sanchez, Mata, Lukaku, Martial, Dalot, Matic
Not sure what the plan is given that line up! There's three full backs in that side. Probably three central defenders, but we could also line up with four at the back with either Young or Darmian playing in midfield. :o
-
Good start from United, Kompany is struggling to handle Rashford's pace.
-
arse are getting beat 3-0 by Wolves :o
United the best side so far but City have started to grow into the game a bit more. Fred the best player so far, he's EVERYWHERE :o
-
First half ended up being even once City grew into the game during that last 15 minutes or so. This game could go either way I think. A much better performance from United, but it couldn't have been worse than that dismal performance against Everton. :o
-
A better first half from City and they go 0-1 up. De Gea should have done better with that tbh.
-
Great goal from Sane. 0-2 and probably game over >:(
-
De Gea should have done better there again, I'd be tempted to drop him against Chelsea. :(
-
How's that Solksjaer record looking harv? ;D

-
Not looking good now lol :o
-
Rumours are that Pogba is off in the Summer, I think De Gea might end up going too. We won't miss either of them much tbh. :o
-
arse got beat again. With the Spuds losing again too yesterday this match against Chelsea is pretty much VITAL for both sides to win...so it'll probably be a bloody draw lol :o ;D
-
Team news for United:
De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Rashford, Lukaku.
Subs: Romero, Sanchez, Martial, Pereira, Rojo, Darmian, McTominay.
Looks like 4-3-3 with either a number 6 or a number 10.
-
Great match so far. Great build up play from United and Mata puts United 1-0 up.
We're a better side with Herrera playing, we REALLY need to give him however much money he wants to keep him here.
-
Chelsea have started to grow into the game a bit more now.
-
Bollocks. 1-1. Another De Gea cock up. I would have dropped him for today.
-
1-1 final score, neither team deserved three points from that game tbh. We should also have been down to 10 men after that assault from Rojo on Willian :o
That's probably us not being in the top four at the end of the season now >:(
-
Think that was the biggest cock-up by far ;D we were shit and probably should have won... says it all.
Lukaku giving Higuain a good run for shittest PL striker of the season, how many offsides did they both get today?
Heard Costa is on the transfer market.. it's a no brainer, get him back!
-
Harvs a bit quiet these days I see. ;D ;D

Harvs a bit quiet these days I see. ;D ;D
That's because the forums have been dead for a few days. Haven't been able to gain access for some reason. Just tried it just now and things are back!
I'm hoping to see Ollie playing the kids in the Europa League next season if UEFA will let us get away with it.
We might see a few of them getting a start on Sunday I think.
De Gea and Pogba will probably leave in the Summer I think but that's a discussion for the transfer rumours thread. 8)
-
Team news for United:
De Gea, Young, Jones, Smalling, Dalot, Pereira, McTominay, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Greenwood
Subs: Romero, Mata, Martial, Fred, Valencia, Garner, Gomes.
Greenwood becomes our youngest Premiership starter at 17 years and 223 days old. I would have started him last week tbh.
So that's 6 Academy products starting and two on the bench. 8)
-
Can't get a decent bloody stream today!!! >:(
-
United a goal down due to a dodgy penalty apparently. No idea whether it was a penalty or not. Bloody streams are shite today, buffering all over the place :'(
-
United 1-0 down at halftime, Greenwood having a good game apparently.
Got a decent stream now but missed the first half apart from a few bits here and there when the buffering stopped for a minute or so.
-
Martial on for Jones who was injured in the first half.
-
Shite. 0-2 now. Looks like we're going to be stuck with Europa League qualification at the end of July the way things are going. >:(
-
Valencia on for Dalot for his last appearance for the club and Gomes on for Pereira.
-
0-2 final score and that's us stuck with having to qualify for Europa League football in July.
I'm hoping that Ollie is going to play the kids and reserves for that competition next season to save it from messing up our season next season but UEFA will probably prevent us from doing so.
Greenwood had a good game, on another day he would have ended up with the match ball.
At least the red scouse gits didn't win the Premiership, I'll take any consolation I can get at the moment lol ;D
-
Just had a look at the table and we ended up 5 points away from 4th place so Ollie managed to claw back 6 points after United were 11 points away when we fucked Maureen off.
A lot of work to do in the Summer and for the next few years but I'm happy with Ollie at the wheel and the board and fans need to give him time to repair the damage that Moyes, van Gaal and Maureen have all done to the club over the years.
-
lolol, United were trash, I was watching every game simultaneously in a British pub in America and had to laugh that United got stuffed at home to Cardiff.
United to get relegated next season?
-
Pogba's agent has received a six month transfer ban so we're stuck with him I think unless he changes his agent. Martial is also rumoured to be on his way out too.

United to get relegated next season?
That would really be something I'd love to see ;D
