FL5 seems to have settled into a format. There were no surprises today. The top four teams all won. The Cricketers returned to winning way and are fifth in the table. Mid table was nip and tuck with The Tumbling Sixers losing 0-1 away at Stow Wanderers. Das Quinas picked up three points with a 1-0 home victory. The Crafty Egg went down 1-4 at home to Standard Liege. The bottom six clubs remain where they started the day. 8)

Some slight changes at the top of the table. Shakhtar stay top after defeating The Tumbling Sixers 4-0. Justin Case got two second half goals. Standard Liege drew away with Stow Wanderers 1-1, thus becoming the second placed team in FL5. Standard scored first but could not hold onto their lead. Harricam took on The Rhubarb Triangle and ran out 3-0 winners. The Triangles dropped into fourth whilst Harricam moved into third. Harricam took the lead through Coutinho on nine minutes.  Cuban Pete wrapped up the game with two second half goals. Ag Said. We have that South American beat to our team.

The Cricketers ran out 2-0 winners at The Republic of Leeds. Xavier Breath missed a penalty. Then the Ref awarded another penalty which he scored from. Xavier rounded off a fine performance with a 2nd goal. The Aguila's went on their travels to The Negative Amigo's and were sent packing on the end of a 1-4 defeat. Val Crow got a hatrick for The Amigo's.

The Crafty Egg hosted Das Quinas and ended up on the wrong end of a 0-2 defeat. Hunt Park Rovers entertained Non Contact Rovers. They really did put on a show running out 4-0 winners. The Somerset Rebels went away to Kane Versus Ings and recorded their first win of FL5. They saw off Kane 0-2 and move off the bottom of the division. Sadly, for Kane and their fans they are now propping up FL5. 8)

The top three teams have opened up a five point gap. The Rhubarb Triangle hosted Shakhtar today. Shakhtar took them to the cleaners 0-4. Standard beat Kane V Ings 5-0. Kane remain bottom of the table. Harricam beat The Negative Amigo's 3-0. Pass and move, pass and move, bellowed Ag through out the game. The Cricketers lost 0-2 at home to The Tumbling Sixers.

A goal in either half saw Non Contact Rovers go down 0-2 at home to Das Quinas. The game between Stow Wanderers and The Aguila's had the feel of a draw. 0-0 at half time. Then Hugo First stepped up and nabbed the winner in the 63rd minute. The Crafty Egg's Harrison Fire scored the only goal of the game giving The Crafty Egg a valuable away victory at The Republic of Leeds. Somerset Rebels doubled their points tally to six with the second of back to back wins today. They went away to Hunt Park Rovers and came away 0-2 victors. 8)

Keep the faith Jimmy. With FL3 and FL4 not full this season, next seasons league structure will probably mean that the 4th team in FL5 this seasonwill promote as well.

Shakhtar have opened up a three point lead at the summit of FL5. Today Shakhtar  beat Somerset Rebels 1-0. The Rebels seemed to be dominating the game until Shakhtar stole the game in the 56th minute getting that all important winner. Billed as potentially the game of the day, Harricam and Standard Liege played out a goalless draw. Ag started adding crosses to the score to make it look like a game of noughts and crosses. It made him feel better.

The Rhubarb Triangle went away to Hunt Park Rovers. They defended against everything thrown at them and pulled a winner out of the bag in the 82nd minute. They ran out 0-1 winners. The Cricketers dominated today's game from start to finish with Non Contact Rovers winning 2-0. The Cricketers dressing room felt better after that win.

Das Quinas seem to be finding their feet in FL5. They move into 6th place after a 0-3 win at Kane versus Ings. Luis Figo racked up two of the goals. The Negative Amigo's and The Tumbling Sixers played out a 0-0 draw. Val Crow missed a penalty for The Amigo's. This result keeps both teams in the top half of the table.

Crafty Egg hosted The Aguila's and went down 0-2. Their fans were most displeased, singing, "We don't have to be easter eggs. There are lots of other eggs.." We could have a lion stamp. Aguila's K. Mitroglu scored both goals. Stow Wanderers beat The Republic of Leeds 3-0. It was one way traffic. The Stow goalie was Man Of The Match. ??? 8)

One drawn game today effected the top of the table. Top of the table Shakhtar drew with Das Quinas 1-1. Shakhtar scored first, and Das Quinas equalised in the 75th minute. However the returning home Das Quinas fans understandably felt robbed. Standard Liege are now within two points of the top of the table. Standard Liege went away to Hunt Park Rovers and emerged 0-2 winners.

Harricam hosted The Republic of Leeds today and ran out 3-0 winners. Ag was impressed with Dodger Lane's Man of the Match award, as he told the gathered press that he was only just back from injury. The Cricketers saw off The Rhubarb Triangle 3-0 and move back into 4th in the table.

The Negative Amigo's beat Somerset Rebels 2-0 and are now 7th in the table. We are going places said The Amigo's Manager. Stow Wanderers beat Non Contact Rovers 3-0. Here we Stow, Here we Stow, Here we Stow..sang The Wanderers crowd.

The Crafty Egg hosted The Tumbling Sixers and recorded a work man like 2-0 win. Head Foreman was Adam Meway with a goal in either half. In this clash between Kane Versus Ings and The Aguila's, it was an away victory inspired by Andreas Samaris who bagged both goals in this 0-2 win. 8)

It was a top of the table clash today, Shakhtar who led this morning went away to close rivals Standard Liege. Standard emerged the victors with a 2-0 win. Shakhtar were not played off the pitch, they made the game competitive, but Standard did not look like they were ever going to lose. On paper it looks like a secure 2-0 victory for Harricam. In the end it was, but it took to the 63rd minute for Carradonna to break the deadlock. Ag stated at the press conference that Carradonna was not for sale. He was not going to Barcelona, or Real Madrid. He was in fact off for a post match pint at The Mon's.

The top three teams have opened up a seven point gap over fourth place. The Cricketers remain in fourth despite losing 0-1 to The Aguila's. The Cricketers had lots of possession, but could not find the net. Das Quinas went away to The Rhubarb Triangle and came away 0-2 winners. Das Quinas are on a winning run and find themselves in 5th place. Moving into 6th place are Stow Wanderers. They beat The Negative Amigo's 1-0. The Wanderers ran the game from start to finish but could not add to their goal tally.

Hunt Park Rovers took on The Tumbling Sixers and after a game dominated by a midfield battle the game ended 1-1. The Repuplic of Leeds beat Kane Versus Ings in a storming home win. Julian Alaphillppe scored a hatrick and the match ball has not been seen since. Somerset Rebels won 0-1 away at Non Contact Rovers. Bowen Arrow scored a 44th minute penalty to take the victory. The bottom five lag behind 6th from bottom by an eight point gap. 8)

Position wise there is only one change in the table today. The Aguila's went up to 9th position and they are replaced in 10th by The Tumbling Sixers. The League leaders,Standard Liege, ran out 4-2 winners, against Somerset Rebels. Al Nino and Hugo First bagged two goals apiece for Standard. Harricam took on Shakhtar in a 2nd Versus 3rd place game. The Pundits thought 3-0 rather flattered Harricam and that the game was far more competitive. Ag raised his eyebrow, smiled and thought I'd rather have the goals.

After Shakhtar's defeat the gap between 4th and 3rd has been reduced to four points after The Cricketers victory today. They saw off the Crafty Egg. Booker was so pleased he took two players off the transfer list and gave them another chance. The Republic of Leeds entertained Das Quinas and got played off the pitch, 0-3. The Das Quinas Manager was comparing his team to The Grand National winner. "Whatever obstacles get in our way, we will be up and over them and pressing all day long."

Stow Wanderers beat Kane Versus Ings 6-0. Hugh De Mann scoring a Hatrick rounded off with the Team's 85th minute goal. The Rhubarb Triangle return to winning ways after seeing off The Tumbling Sixer's 3-1.

The Negative Amigo's did a smash and grab raid on Hunt Park Rovers scoring one goal and taking all 3 points. Non Contact Rovers hosted The Aguila's, and wondered why they bothered. It was 0-4 to the Aguila's and their Striker Konstantinos Mitroglu chalked up all four goals. 8)

Here is today's table at the halfway stage of FL5. A hard fought game between Standard Liege and Das Quinas resulted in Standard taking the game 1-0. Hugo First was the scorer. The Game ended Das Quinas's fine climb up the table. They remain in seventh. Second placed Harricam took on bottom of the table Kane Versus Ings and beat them 6-0. Ag commended Robbie for getting four goals, particularly raving about how he slotted home two penalties.

Shakhtar were away at the Republic of Leeds taking the game 0-2. The game was evenly balanced except for the goals, of course. It was a good day at the office for The Cricketers as they thumped The Negative Amigo's 4-1.

The Rhubarb Triangles beat The Somerset Rebels 7-0. Bud Weiser helped himself to four goals. This is the biggest winning margin result of FL5 so far. Stow Wanderers drew 1-1 with The Crafty Egg. For long periods of the game it looked like Stow may lose. However Otto Whackew produced the equaliser in the 78th minute.

Hunt Park Rovers really did give it a go, throwing everything against The Aguila's. However the Aguila's emerged triumphant winning 1-3 and the coach trip home turned into one big Party Bus. Non Contact Rovers scored two goals at home but it was not enough as The Tumbling Sixers managed three goals to take all the points 2-3. 8)

Top of the table Standard Liege went away to The Republic of Leeds and came away 0-2 winners. Al Nino got both their goals. Harricam faced a tricky away game at the improving Stow Wanderers. Harricam eventually took the game 0-2. Harricam went one up just before half time and then Stow's Justin Case received a second yellow card, and  Stow played the second half with ten players and could not get back into the game.

Shakhtar went away to bottom of the table Kane Versus Ings and won 0-4 at a canter. The game was so one sided Kane Versus Ings should have stayed in the dressing room. The Cricketers roasted Hunt Park Rovers 1-5. Hunt Park may have forgotten they had a game today as they did not present with a full squad.

Das Quinas are back up to fifth place after seeing off the declining Somerset Rebels. Das Quinas ran away with the game 4-0 and Nuno Gomez went home with the match ball after netting a hatrick. Nuno promissed to bring the ball back tomorrow. The Rhubarb Triangle lost 0-1 at home to Non Contact Rovers. Try as they might Rhubarb could not turn possession into goals.

The Tumbling Sixers could not adapt their game to try and match The Aguila's. So the Aguila's plundered all three points in their 0-2 victory.  Mitroglu got both goals. The Crafty Egg went away to The Negative Amigo's and managed to pick the Amigo's pockets scoring one goal and stealing away the three points on offer. 8)

The table from bottom to top today. Kane Versus Ings remain bottom of FL5. They were Kaned 0-4 at home by The Cricketers. Xavier Breath ran out a hatrick hero. For Hunt Park Rovers the game was a breeze. They beat The Crafty Egg 0-1 but should be asking themselves, why did we not get any more goals after dominating the game.

The Republic of Leeds had a fine away win at The Somerset Rebels. It was a 0-4 stroll. Afterwards the Leeds Lad's were filling up their coach with crates and crates of Somerset Scrumpy. The Negative Amigo's were strong enough to see off Non Contact Rovers 2-0. Both Teams played similar tactics but they only worked for The Amigo's.

The Tumbling Sixers took on the league leaders Standard Liege. All their confidence evaporated as the game kicked off. They went down 0-3. Al Nino grabbing two of the goals. In a very even game Shakhtar beat Stow Wanderers 1-0. Stow had no answer when they went behind.

The Aguila's move into fifth place in FL5. They beat The Rhubarb Triangle 3-0. The Triangle offered little or no resistance. Das Quinas hosted Harricam today. They decided it was not a good idea. They went down 0-5. Cuban Pete bashed in a hatrick to keep his Team on the heels of the league leaders. Ag was unavailable for comment. Still in The Boot room with his management team. 8)

Standard Liege played Non Contact Rovers off the park in their 2-0 victory. The Cricketers hosted Harricam today. Harricam led, then got pegged back, led and pegged back and finally led. A slim 2-3 victory see Harricam remain in second place.

Shakhtar went away to The Crafty Egg and and beat them 1-3. The Aguila's beat Somerset Rebels 0-2.

Das Quinas beat Tumbling Sixers 2-0. It could have been more. The Negative Amigo's beat Kane Versus Ings 2-0.

The Republic of Leeds beat The Rhubarb Triangle 1-0. Game over. Hunt Park Rovers beat Stow Wanderers 1-0. Hunt Park turned on the style to nick the game. 8) 8)
