FL2 Season 63
« on: September 02, 2017, 05:21:58 PM »
There's a certain calm over shadowing the KO of FL2. It's seems unreal as it's Saturday night and we are all waiting for those immortal words when last order's rings, "Can you drink three pints?" This is what Sunday League is all about. Hacking the ball up and down the pitch in an alcoholic haze without ever visiting the centre circle ;) 8)

The three obvious candidates for promotion are:

Jellybellies
Aston Villains
Univ Craoiva

St Kilda could play a starring role. The Ogre's need to force the issue to stay in the hunt. If they can use last season's form as a springboard they will be in the mix.

Please think of Steve and his Drog's. A mobile fighting unit with a couple of Long Range Sniper's. Could it be their season for Promotion.

Harricam are standing on the beach looking at the enormous waves of FL2. "Boss, I think we will need our arm bands to stay afloat out there ;) :o ??? ::) :P 8)

The Bellies will struggle to stay afloat this season. Far too many of my old faithfuls have retired to the local care home  :-[ have had to cosh a few drunks and drag them to Jelly Stadium with the promise of a piss up if they make it to half time.

Villains
DDFC
Univ
jellybellies

On paper they look a well oiled machine. Out on/in the field it's a different story. Come to think of it that slicked back hair could be folded back ears.  ;) 8)

It was day one in FL2. A normal first day picture at the office for an FL division. There were eight winners and therefore eight losers. Aston Villains find themselves top of FL2 after a 0-2 win at Naval and Military. In Second place are The Huckley way after a 0-2 away victory at Subgenius. The Rumour Mill are in third place after a 0-2 victory against St. Kilda.

The KC. Shuffle ran out 0-2 winners at Exodus. Harricam went away to Steve's Drog's and came away 0-1 winners. Ag punched the air at the final whistle and ended up in a scuffle with a police man he nearly left hooked. Liverwood Luddites visited The Ogre's Den and came away 0-1 winners.

Jellybellies recorded the only home win of the day, by beating Real Madrid 1-0. Univ. Craiova grabbed the last win by beating FC. Basel 0-1. There is plenty of time for the competition to develop. Please feel free to dive in with your coments and commentaries. ;) 8)

Two days in and four teams have maximum points. Aston Villains who top the table, had an important home win beating Jellybellies 2-0. The Huckley Way, who are in second, beat FC. Basel 2-0. The KC. Shuffle are third in the table after a 0-1 away victory at Subgenius. The fourth team with six points are Univ. Craiova who beat the Drog's 0-2.

The Ogres bounced back today after a first day defeat. They beat The Real Madrid 3-1. Naval and Military beat the Rumour Mill in a 1-0 home win. St Kilda came to Harricam and waltzed off 1-2 winners. Ag was heard saying "I didn't know we were in Strictly...."

Exodus went away to Liverwood and ran out 0-2 victors.  So at the bottom of the table there are four teams with zero points. After two days in FL2 there have been no drawn games. It's either win or lose ;) 8)

After day three, there can be only one. That team is Univ. Craiova. That's three win's out of three. Today they beat The KC Shuffle 0-2 to go top of the table, with a two point gap from second. The Huckley Way remain in second after drawing away at Liverwood, 1-1.

Top of the table at the beginning of the day were Aston Villains. They were the visitors at Harricam. They lost 2-1 but maintain a place in the top three. Ag was seen toasting the empty ground high aloft in the floodlights. I think he will have to spend the night up there as he will never manage the ladders down. Anyone know the number for Mountain Rescue?

The Ogre's strung together back to back wins by beating Subgenius 1-0. The Rumour Mill took down The Real Madrid 1-0. Exodus saw off FC. Basel 1-0. Subgenius, The Real Madrid, and FC. Basel are the three teams occupying the bottom of the table relegation places. They all have not gained a point yet.

St Kilda and Jellybellies shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw. The Drog's recorded their first FL2 victory this season. They beat Naval and Military 1-0. 8)

On the fourth day of Chris..STOP IT.. of FL2 Univ Craiova establish themselves as League Leader's. They came to Harricam and left 0-1 victors. There is three points of fresh air between first and second places. The Villains saw off The Rumour Mill 1-0 at home. KC are shuffling up the table, into third, with a 0-2 win at The Huckley Way.

Exodus, in fourth on goal difference, went away to Subgenius and left 0-1 winners. St Kilda put The Naval and Military to the sword beating them 1-4. The N and M crowd are starting to get restless.

Liverwood beat The Real Madrid 1-0. The Ogres went down 0-1 at The Jellybellies. The machine known as The Drog's slips into second gear to rack up their second successive win of the campaign. 8)

There was a minor earthquake at the foot of the FL2 table today. The three teams with zero points after four games all recorded their first wins on their fifth time out. The Real Madrid went to St. Kilda  and came away 1-2 winners. Subgenius went away to Liverwood and they subjected the home team to a 1-3 defeat.

The KC. Shuffle entertained FC. Basel today. From Basel's point of view it was a comedy, as they laughed all the way home after a 0-3 win. The Shuffle thought it was a tragedy. After those three results Naval and Military find themselves propping up the FL2 table. They visited Harricam and lost 1-0. The Naval post match press conference started with "Remember Agincourt.." Watch this space..

The Drog's and The Villains drew 0-0. The Villains slip into third in the table. The Drog's are now two points off fourth place. The Rumour Mill and Jellybellies fought out a tight 0-0 draw.

The Ogre's moved into fourth place with a 1-0 win over The Huckley Way. Today The Silent Warrior's of FL2 slipped into second place barely causing a ripple. They beat the FL2 leaders 2-1 and draw level on points at the summit of the table. Alas poor Yorick, it was not to be. Univ Craiova could not string together five wins, and find the chasing pack breathing harder down his neck. ;) ;) 8)

Exodus now top FL2 after a 1-2 away victory at The Huckley Way. They have opened up a three point gap over Univ. Craiova in second place. Craiova were beaten 1-0 by The Naval and Military. The Ogre's saw off The Rumour Mill 2-1 to occupy the third promotion place. The Villains were beaten 0-1 at home by St Kilda.

Harricam entertained FC. Basel and came out of the game happy to gain a point. Ag commented it wasn't our day, today. But then again, when is it. The Drog's are climbing the table. Today they defeated The KC Shuffle 1-0. All points are important, but those three points did us the world of good, commented, The Drog's Manager, Steve. Liverwood and the Jellybellies drew 1-1. Subgenius leave the relegation zone with a 3-0 home win V The Real Madrid.

FL2 is a bit of a mish mash, an Eton Mess. Most Team's are win one, loss one, win another, and this is leading to a table where six points separate the top nine in a sixteen team table. Exodus are building up momentum and appear the Team to watch. ;) 8)

Univ. Craiova return to the summit of FL2 with a 1-3 away victory at The Real Madrid. Univ. were able to move to the top spot as Exodus lost 1-0 at St. Kilda.  Univ. and Exodus have 15 points. In third place are Aston Villains with 13 points. They beat The Huckley Way 3-0.

St Kilda have 13 points in fourth place. The Drog's are climbing the table. They are now in fifth with 13 points after a spectacular 4-1 victory over the Ogre's. Harricam are also on 13 points after a narrow 1-0 home victory V Liverwood.

The Shuffle have 12 points as they manage to cling on to the chasing pack. A 0-1 win at The Rumour Mill claimed all three points. Subgenius are climbing the table with their win run on the bounce, I believe. It was a 1-2 win away at Naval and Military. FC. Basal went away to Jellybellies and came away 0-1 winners. 8)

Exodus swop back to the top spot of FL2. They went away to The Drog's and came away 0-2 winners. Univ. faced a stiff challenge away at Deca's Villains and they shared the points with a 1-1 draw. The Ogre's move up to third place after seeing off St. Kilda 2-0. The Shuffle move into fourth after they out classed Harricam 0-2. Ag was quoted as saying, "If we huffed and puffed all day long we could not blow their house down."

The Jellybellies won away at Subgenius 0-1. The Rumour Mill went away to Liverwood and upset the Luddite crowd beating their team 1-4. FC. Basel were on the road today and came away 0-3 winners. The Huckley Way saw off The Real Madrid 2-0 to halt their slip down the table. 8)
