Title: The Top Supermarket Stuff Thread
Post by: harv on February 27, 2012, 06:51:26 PM
Asda are still doing Coke on their 3 for £3 offer, can't see it lasting much longer though. I'm going to have to move to a bigger place soon, am running out of space to store the bloomin things lol. The count is 73 bottles at the moment!!! :o

Tescos are doing Easter Eggs 3 for £3 as a buy one get two three deal which is a right load of old bollocks as they went up from £1.20-odd each to £3 each which makes the deal appear better than it actually is. Supermarkets do this sort of bollocks all the time, must be against Trading Standards, surely..? :-\

Bollocks, Asda have stopped their deal on Coke now >:(

Still, should have enough to keep me going lol :P

Sainsburys is better....

Not because I work there or anything  ;)

Not when it comes to deals mate, although their own brand stuff is generally better quality than the other supermarkets. Asda has always been the best for good deals.

Have got 72 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke now so should keep me going for 72 days, hopefully they'll do another deal like that before I run out again lololol :P

Iceland constantly have 3ltr bottles for £2 though, so per litre, the 3 for £3 deal has only saved you £24 by bulk buying 72 bottles, hardly seems worth it. Although I have to admit, I'm not sure they do the diet cherry coke in Iceland, but serves you right for  being a fussy git

Nope, no Diet Cherry Coke 3l bottles unfortunately :(

Was gutted yesterday. Got a text from a mate about Tesco selling the new iPad on their direct site for £49.99. Jumped on and ordered a couple about 20 minutes before it went up on HotUKDeals. That kind of exposure destroys any chance of these things getting honoured. Order got cancelled in the end. :'(

Tesco would never have honoured it once they discovered the error themselves, they have written get out clauses in their terms and conditions, which apparently allows them to ignore the sale of goods act.

This was on Watchdog last night. Rumours abound that it was a PR stunt by Tesco to get people to notice they are stocking it.

Two things:

1) Asda are doing bottles of Coke for a quid each, no minimum amount to buy like 3 for 3 quid - just a quid each which is unusual. I can't believe they're doing this AGAIN so soon. They used to do these deals pretty regularly. I've still got 48 bottles left over from the last time lol :P

2) Iceland are doing those Chicago Town pizzas for a quid each again. So frustrating that the only proper deep pan pizza you can get in this country are mini versions. >:(

Go to Iceland and have a look at the things. The whole point of a deep pan pizza is that the pizza base is pressed into the pan that they're cooked in so that you can bung in a shedload of topping into the thing. None of the other deep pan pizzas you buy over here are cooked in pans, they're just given a thick base and bunged in a pizza oven. Bloody annoying >:( [/pizza rant]
Title: Re: The Top Supermarket Stuff Thread
Post by: jman on March 29, 2012, 09:04:12 AM
Actually the deep dish pizzas your talking about are just a (Chicago) derivative of a normal deep-pan pizza... its not how a deep pan pizza is normally made... you go to Chicago though and you can eat all the deep dish pizzas you like..

However actually having been to Italy 3 times already I can tell you now that an authentic Italian style pizza (which is all thin crust) is the best in the world.. and I wont accept anything else  ;)

And coke has been £1 in Asda for a week with no minimum buy.. I just forgot to say - whoops!

Tescos are now doing 2 for £2, but only until the 9th. I've just cleared my local Asda of stock of Diet Cherry Coke lol :P

Might go to Tescos later if I can be arsed. ;D

Went into tesco today, they werent doing any deals on coke in my local one... just £2.50 for 8 cans which is OK.. but not as good as the £1 per bottle
Title: Re: The Top Supermarket Stuff Thread
Post by: harv on April 05, 2012, 05:25:29 PM
If your Tescos is as useless as mine you'll find they are doing the deal but haven't put the deal labels in all the right places lol. Got 8 more bottles today giving me a total of 69 bottles...ooh-er missus lol :-*

Quite handy that these supermarkets seem to do these deals when I have a few quid in the bank, got another 300 quid that the Council owed me on Monday. Nice, although that should be the lot now 8)

Allowed me to get some of that expensive food for Rufus, order a shedload of cat litter, pay £150 off my credit card and get a shedload of Diet Cherry Coke. Nice result ;D

Edit: Another 8 bottles from Tescos yesterday on the last day of their deal, Asda still doing bottles for a quid each though. Not going to get any more for a bit cos I've run out of room to put the bloomin things lol. Got 69 bottles again! :P

Tescos are doing BOGOF on Coke tomorrow for a week. Sainsburys also did this but it finished today I think, and they didn't have any Diet Cherry Coke in my local one!

Running seriously low on cans of diet coke. No decent offers anywhere in the last few weeks. :(
Title: Re: The Top Supermarket Stuff Thread
Post by: harv on July 01, 2012, 05:49:27 PM
Seeing as Tescos deal is ending on the 3rd I decided to order 20 bottles for £19.80 getting delivered tomorrow lololol. Going to be interesting to see the delivery driver's face!!! :P ;D

Edit: Whoops! Ordered bog standard Diet Coke instead of Cherry :-[ Got him to take it back, good job I ordered some other stuff to save him a wasted journey lol. Have reordered for tomorrow :P

Managed to get £5.94 refund and £20 worth of online vouchers back. Gawd knows how that worked out but I'm up on the deal lol. Tescos are doing their BOGOF deal for another week too. ;D

Another Edit: Don't know who does the packing for Tesco deliveries but they're bloody useless. Ordered 20 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke and only got 17, 2 of which were bog standard Diet Coke so I sent those back. Ordered 3 Prima Fresco Pepperoni Pizzas and got 1 Pepperoni one and 2 Margarita ones. Didn't notice the pizzas until I got the stuff upstairs too. Never mind, will get the refund on 5 Diet Cokes which means that I'll get a refund of £5.94...used my 2 £10 vouchers so my shopping cost £10.73 altogether. With that refund I've bought 4 x tinned tomatoes, 2 x tins of mushrooms, 3 x Prima Fresco pizzas and 15 x Diet Cherry Coke for £4.79.

Going to send Tescos an email complaining about the person doing the packing, will hopefully get another voucher lol.

Asda are now selling Froot Loops !!! Confirmed as I bought 3 boxes last night - £2 something... was too excited to care about the price..... if only they sold Capt'n Crunch and Lucky Charms aswell...  :-\

Also saw they were selling Rocky Mountain Mega Marshmallows.. so bought a pack and made some Smores last night with them... had to use rich tea biscuits though as they dont sell Graham Crackers... it still tasted amazing, you must make them!!

(For the uninitiated - Rich Tea biscuit layer at the bottom.. a few melted chocolate buttons on top, then stick a roasted mega marshmallow on the chocolate then another rich tea biscuit on top... squash it together slightly and scoff... your in for a treat)

Several supermarkets are doing good deals for multipacks of Cadbury's chocolate at the moment.

Morrisons and Co-op/Sainsburys have 4-packs of Double Decker, Boost, Crunchie, Picnic, Caramel, Dairy Milk, each for £1.
Asda have one or two of those on offer too.

Sainsbury/Co-op also have bags of Cadbury Clusters/Bitsa Wispa/Twirl Bites/Caramel Nibbles/Crunchie Rocks/Popcorn pouches each at £1.

Time to stock up...

I gave up all types of coca cola for the new year...  I have had some since but we are talking less than 2 ltrs in total since the start of the year.

However gf doesnt want to give it up at all, so still bought 8 bottles yesterday in tesco on 2 for £2.

It isn't going to make any difference to my depression, I've been drinking Diet Coke since it existed. If it was affecting my depression in any way I would have had depression all my life.
Title: Re: The Top Supermarket Stuff Thread
Post by: jman on February 19, 2013, 09:14:51 AM
Your diet in general will have an affect on your depression and your diabetes... if you dont recognise diet coke as part of your diet then more fool you.. not only does it work as a hunger supressant because of the caffeine content, but it also dehydrates your body with its sweet sugary chemicals.. which make you want more of the stuff... this affects your diet even if you dont think it does - go talk to a nurse/gp about it, they will say the same thing.

And thats not even mentioning the effect the sugar/sweetener has on your teeth and the amount of money it takes to keep this fix - I cringe at the thought of how much money I spent on coke last year.. I think its safe to say that it would be getting into the region of a grand - which is ridiculous if you think of it like that.
Title: Re: The Top Supermarket Stuff Thread

I asked you before Harv, what you do to help your condition. There are plenty of reports that show that aspartame can have a serious negative effect on health.

The question is, do you want to cure your depression? Are you prepared to give up diet coke for three months to see if that helps?
Title: Re: The Top Supermarket Stuff Thread
Post by: harv on February 19, 2013, 09:10:15 PM
I've already said, I tried before and failed miserably. Not doing it again as withdrawal was bloody horrible. You seem to be getting overly obsessed with me again styles, this isn't healthy.

Tesco doing another week of 2 for 2 quid starting tomorrow. Nice. 8)

It's a pity your doctor and your social security officer aren't obsessed. I'll say again that i think you are nothing but a chancer. Id love to see people like you housed in one room hostels with shared facilities. People like you milk the welfare system. You'll never work again son and lets face it you're just a drain on the rest of us. You're making zero contribution to the country but expect to be cared for, housed , fed and given handouts till the day you eventually croak. Even worse, you actually feel hard done by. People like you sicken me.

Never work again..? I hope you're wrong there. I'd love to be not only able to be working again but also be able to leave my flat, not have days where I feel that I'd be better off dead and not be at risk of slipping into a diabetic coma a couple of times a week.

Giving up Diet Coke isn't going to change anything.

And I'm not milking anything.

This thread is for Top Supermarket Stuff not yet another opportunity for you to continue your strange obsession with me. I've noticed that this obsession gets worse the worse arse do, you'll probably be a complete basket case at the end of May lol.

I think everyone needs to get back on topic.

Deflecting attention once again. If you spent half as much time trying to figure out a way to make yourself "fit to work" as you do surfing forums for shite about the wii then maybe you'd have found a job by now.

You've no interest in work, if you had, instead of a thread about the best place to find frozen pizza you'd be telling us about how you were changing your diet to enable you to live a productive life. How many years since you worked? Last time you were contributing to society arsenal were winning trophies lol.

Get out and find some work you lazy cunt

Reminds me of when I was a kid, my Mum used to take me and my brother shopping to Co-op and there was a little stall that did loads of different flavoured ice cream cones in the Summer. Toffee with bits of crunchy toffee inside and mint choc chip used to be my favourites. ;D

If anyone sees a good deal on Birds Eye Fish Fusions let me know... they were £1 on a promotional trial a while back.. and the lime & chilli ones were bloody nice.. portion size was just right too... but no-way Im paying £3 for a pack.. might as well just buy some fresh fish for that price.

Coke (regular & diet) reduced at Asda, instore - multipack(4) x 2L bottles for £3.
At time of posting it's unconfirmed whether it's a national deal or not. Definitely confirmed in one store, and reported to be seen in a second...

HUKD thread (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/coca-cola-diet-coke-4-x-2l-pack-instore-asda-broadstairs-3-1488563)
Still showing as £6 online.

Worth a look if you're in/near a store (or maybe check back to the thread later) if you're running low.

Have just seen that Tesco are doing 8 can multipacks of Diet Coke buy one get one free for £4.20 for those of you that prefer drinking cans as opposed to 2l bottles, and I'm assuming they're doing that for the sugary stuff too. Quite a good deal!

Those new cereals they've been advertising - curiously cinnamon and curiously strawberry - are lovely. Don't even bother with milk (though they're good with it), straight out of the packet. I'm addicted to them already.

Cokey cola time again.

For those of us that prefer cans, Tesco are knocking out 24 can packs (regular and diet varieties - not zero, or other versions) starting today, for £5.00 (that's a shade under £0.21 per can) - which is probably the cheapest I've seen in about ten years.

Speaking of Coke, I see they're finally killing off cokezone (though you could easily argue they killed it off a couple of years ago).
If you've got any points on your account you have until mid October to redeem them, or lose them.
cokezone (http://www.cokezone.co.uk/pages/faq?WT.mc_id=EMSOANNOUNCEMENTfaqs#coke-zone-is-changing)

I've got about 1250.
150 points for a cinema ticket looks to be the best of a bad lot.
5 points for an issue of FHM is tempting, even though the magazine has been shit for about 10-15 years now.
Or I could have six hundred entries into a draw to win something unimpressive.

Oh, that reminds me. A week or two back I won one of the "exclusive Marc Jacobs bags" they've emblazoned across promotional packs lately. (Promotion ended last week). I'm going to be the envy of the town, aren't I!

Yeah I got an email today saying Cokezone was closing and that I have zero points to spend.. like you said, its been shit for the past couple of years now, so its not suprising.

I went into Tesco the other day and walked out with 3 of these -> Tesco Simply Heat Pulled Pork (http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=274447622) - £3.00 each.  Had one last night for dinner and it was bloody nice.. smells and tastes of tender spare ribs.. you'd think its quite fattening - but even with the BBQ sauce its pretty low on calories and fat.

The shelves were bare when I got to my local Tesco Extra at lunchtime today - or rather they had thousands of 8-packs, 10-packs, and 12-packs, but the tiny space reserved for 24-packs was empty - so I've made my first ever online grocery shop.

I'll be getting 240 cans of diet coke delivered to the office tomorrow afternoon :D

Yeah, I appreciate that's a ridiculous amount, but:
a) three people in the office have asked to have one box each from me;
b) I get through the stuff alarmingly fast (and the wife and kids like a can a day); and
c) by bringing the order total up to £50 I was able to use a code for £10 off. (There's a £3.50 delivery charge, mind.)
Net result - I get 168 cans for slightly under 17p each. And that's a bloody good result ;)

240.. fuckin hell mate, thats mental - dont try and make it sound normal! lol

Although I cant say much.. they have definitely had that offer on before (about 4 years ago)... I know because I went mad on it too, my fridge at the time 98 cans and 5 bottles -->

I dont know why I put them in the fridge though - I actually prefer coke at room level temperature.

Urgh! You freak!
Can't stand room temperature coke.

I have my own fridge in the office. We have one in the kitchen, but I bought myself one for upstairs, purely for keeping my coke in. Not talking about a mini-fridge here, either. I used to have one of those, that you could just about squeeze six cans into, but it went tits up around November last year. Turned out it was actually cheaper to buy a normal fridge than a mini one, at that point!

Totally.

Don't drink much fizzy pop these days, but warm coke, might as well leave it to go flat too if you're going to have it at room temperature.

Haven't tried those yet, the Fungi ones are great, had one last night for the first time. I normally go for the Speciale and Pollo ones but they ran out of Speciale ones which was a pain. Still, the Fungi ones are pretty good though. The Speciale ones are the best so far for me but I might give those pesto ones a go soon.

And they're one of the very few pizzas that actually resemble the pizzas on the box which is cool. ;D

Oh no guys, coke from a fridge is way too cold.. gets my teeth every time.. room temp is just right, except in the summer where you need something cold.. its the same for most drinks.. probably only beer & water which I prefer chilled.  My gf goes fucking nuts when she's put a bottle in the fridge and I get home earlier than her and take the bottle out to warm up - lol.

We picked up some Mayflower Curry Sauce Mix (extra hot) (http://www.kingasia.co.uk/uploads/TN-CurryMixExtraHot.jpg) at the weekend.. £1 in one of those cheapo shops called B&M - new store just opened in Basingstoke.. made a curry on Monday and its the best sauce from a packet I've had.. tastes just like chip-shop curry and its low in fat/calories for a curry sauce - much healthier and cheaper than going down the local takeaway.

In terms of cans there ain't much value around for Coke at the moment. :(
I've been getting 15-packs for £4 from Asda lately, which is pretty poor.

Tesco have a couple of decent deals on at the moment, for the health-conscious like myself...

Big tins of Quality Street, Roses, and Celebrations are reduced to £4 each. As seems to be the case every year, the tin size seems to have reduced. I think the Quality Streets I got today were 750g net. Tell yourself you're buying them for Christmas, then cry when you realise you've just finished off the full tub this Sunday.

And coke is also on offer (regular and diet only, I believe) for £6.00 for 24 cans. Decent price (25p per can), but not awesome - but that price can be reduced if you can be arsed with coupons and cashback etc.
You can get 50p off a multipack (only one per transaction) with a voucher here (http://www.filedropper.com/coupon).
And you can get £4 cashback for buying two 24-packs via quidco quicksnap (http://www.quidco.com/clicksnap/details/898/coke-24x330ml-all-varieties/?ref=%2Fclicksnap%2Foffers%2Fonline%2F). Haven't used that before, personally.
Potentially, then, you could buy two multipacks, use a voucher, and claim the cashback - to get 48 cans for £7.50 (16p per can).

They also have a good price on large crates of beer, but it seems to be in some stores and not others. Details here (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/3-for-22-big-cases-beer-tesco-misprice-instore-only-1659295)

Cokey Cola's a decent price in a few supermarkets at the moment, for those who like the big bottles.

Coke 2 litre bottles:
3 for £3 at Asda; and
2 for £2 at Morrisons.

Haven't seen a good deal on cans for a while. Was £4.20 for 16 at Morrisons last week, which isn't great but is the best I've seen for a while.

Just got my 24 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke delivered. First, the delivery was late...although he did phone and apologised so that's okay. But 3 of the 24 bottles were out of date. They expired in September. >:(

Just sent them a semi-snotty email (although I did mention that the driver was good enough to phone and apologise) and threatened to contact Health & Safety and said I'll shop with Tesco from now on. Hopefully the fuckers are going to send a driver with a crate of the stuff to make up for it lol ;D

A weird thing happened with my Mum and Tesco. She got a letter with a £5 voucher. The letter was apologising for the nectarines she bought tasting 'funny' and gave her the voucher to make up for it. The weird thing is that she never bought any lol.

So if you ever want a £5 voucher just contact Customer Services and complain about funny tasting nectarines lol ;D

There's probably another Mrs Camburn somewhere pissed off with Tesco because she thinks they're ignoring her complaints lololol ;D ;D ;D

I'm not surprised tbh. I had a night shift job last christmas with sainsburys. I was on the drinks section every night I worked. It was mental. The shelves were wrecked every night. Can't say I ever topped up the diet cherry coke bottles to much in my time there though.
There was no rotation tbh. It was all about getting the drinks on the shelf quick for the morning opening. I don't think people realise until doing the job the physical nature of getting X amount of 2ltr bottles and cases of drink off the pallet , onto the floor and then onto the shelf. Try that with hundred+ different drinks.
Date codes were checked once a month by the code controller team (or at least they should be).

Got an email back from Asda, didn't tell them about the 4th bottle, and they're refunding £5.94 to my card. You would have thought they would give me a £5 voucher on top or something or refunded the delivery charge. Looks like they've refunded 3 quid for the 3 bottles and added a random amount on top lol. If I had reported them to the Environmental Health Department they'd pick up what used to be a two grand fine for every out of date item on the shelves. Probably a lot more nowadays. :-\

Might've been store specific, that one. I've been keeping my eye out and they didn't have any decent prices on in my local Tesco when I was in at the back end of last week nor the middle of this week. (Best they had was packs of 12 for £3.63).
Only place that seems to have had decent prices lately is Waitrose, about a month ago. Which is a bit of a bugger, as my nearest is over fifty miles away.  :-X

Something weird is going on at Asda with 2l bottles of Coke and Diet Coke. Went into Asda yesterday and they had no 2l bottles on the shelves, although they were moving stuff about so I didn't think much of it at the time. But now I've looked at their web site and done a search and they only list the non-diet Cherry Coke and the Diet Citrus Zest. And that's it. No normal Coke, no normal Diet Coke and none of the Diet Cherry Cokes or Diet Vanilla Cokes. :-\

Wtf is going on..? Have Asda had some sort of row with the Coke comapny or something..? :o :-\ :o :-\

Just had a look at the other supermarkets. Looks like the fuckers at the Coke company have switched from 2l bottles to 1.75l bottles which means they're attempting to hide a fucking price hike. Cunts. >:( >:( >:(

Asda also doing 3 for 3 quid for 1.75l bottles, Tesco will probably start doing the same next week.

Aw bollocks, Tesco are doing cheap Skips. Bought an 18 pack a couple of hours ago and I've eaten half of them already lmfao :-[ ;D ;D ;D

Bloody things are way too more-ish :o

Pop into Asda and see if they have any 2l bottles left. They're doing them for a quid each to get rid of the stock. Popped into Tesco the other day and they had them at £1.98, might go in tomorrow to see if they're doing the same thing...they had LOADS in stock. :o

Well Tesco are fucking useless. I ordered 40 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke a couple of days ago, thought I'd give them a couple of days to get the stock in. How many did I get delivered..? 15. :o

Apparently all orders aren't looked at until an hour before delivery. Am getting more on Monday but just changed my delivery time to 9am lol.

And they wondered why I wanted my delivery charge refunded lol :o >:( :o

Tescos currently have 24 cans of pepsi/pepsi max for £6. Normally over a tenner. Depends how many of you guys are into pepsi......

Just went into Tesco to have my eyes tested and to order new specs. Got myself some frames for £15 that look better to me personally than any of the others lol :o ;D

Some of the £38 and £65 ones were absolutely dire though, although to be fair some of the £125 ones weren't too bad :o

Asda doing Pringles 3 for £3 ;D

And everyone is doing coke either 2 for £2 or 3 for £3. Hopefully getting 30 bottles delivered tomorrow 8)

Ordered another 30 bottles today and only got 19 delivered. Pretty good though because when Tesco refund these bottles they refund the full price, £1.85, for each bottle lol :P ;D

I've been tempted to order 40 or 50 of the things because then they'll end up paying me to take the bottles off their hands but I don't think I should push my luck lmfao ;D ;D ;D

Delivery driver had problems with his touchscreen on Monday so my refund wasn't processed. Just got off the Help Chat thingy on Tescos site and got it sorted. A £20.35 refund, meaning I bought 19 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke for £11.95 including delivery. Nice 8) 8) 8) ;D :P

Gonna order another 30 bottles for Monday lol :P

Lmfao, just got a delivery from Tesco. Ordered 30 bottles, got 11 delivered. Also got 8 cheese and onion pasties for 3 quid and charged £2 delivery. So £35 altogether. Am having 19 x £1.85 refunded which comes to £35.15...so basically I've paid 15p for 11 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke and 8 cheese and onion pasties lmfao ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

You would have thought whoever was in charge of ordering stuff would have seen that every Monday for the last 3 or 4 weeks I've been ordering 30 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke and make sure there's enough stock. It's not fucking rocket surgery lol :o ;D

Going to order another 30 bottles for Friday I think. Got 61 bottles in my Diet Cherry Coke stockpile now. :P

That's another 30 ordered. This next delivery is going to be interesting. When I talked to the Tesco CS a while back they told me that they had one delivery on Monday morning to last them the whole week. That can't be right though. :-\

You would have thought that they would order twice a week or maybe even daily. Very odd.

If they turn up on Friday with 0 bottles and 30 substitutions and I send them back then Tesco should pay me £55.50 for the privilege...good way to pay off my credit card lmfao ;D ;D ;D

Going to be interesting to see what happens with my refund today. Just got 12 x 2l of Diet Cherry Cokes delivered today and sent 18 x 2l Diet Coke back. Told the driver that it works out better for me that way because I should get 18 x £1.85 refunded...although for some reason I've had random amounts of money refunded instead.

It's obvious that these drivers are pulling some kind of fast one, the last refund I got was £17.15 and it should have been £20.35 which was totally random. ???

If they are doing anything dodgy then that driver should have corrected things before he left, I said this after I signed for the shopping lol.

Hmmm...coincidence..? I've just had confirmation that I've had the right amount of money (£33.30) refunded to my card. Basically means that Tesco have paid me 30p to take 12 bottles of Diet Cherry Coke off their hands lol

Their offer finishes today though I think :( ;D

Got 69 bottles in my stockpile now. Nice 8)

I've been doing the unthinkable recently and buying Pepsi Max  :-[ .. its only £1 for a full sized bottle...  Coke should never of reduced the bottle size  >:(

Saying that, we shop in Costco a lot and do bulk-buy cans of coke.. Regular deals are around 30 for £7ish.. usually much more cost effective than the super-markets.

Asda. Wotsits. 2 for £5, 24 packets in each. I have just had wotsits, chips and peas for my tea. Wotsits and custard for my pudding.

Tomorrow I'm going to have wotsits with milk for my breakfast and a wotsits sarnie for my dinner.

They haven't disappeared.. if you go to quote them you can see the original messages but all pound signs (£) are displayed as question marks in a diamond instead.. this tells me that its an encoding issue... I suspect that wherever they archive the old posts off too is not correctly UTF-8 encoded (as recent posts are not affected by it) - its been like this for a long time now though - so I wouldn't hold your breath for a fix.

Just thought I'd give this an update seeing as nobody has posted in it for a while.

I have discovered the BEST mint choc chip ice cream on the fucking planet. Words can't even begin to express how good this ice cream is. It's Asda's Really Creamy Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream.

I've eaten A LOT of mint choc chip in my lifetime and NOTHING comes anywhere near being as good as this.

I'm trying the other flavours of the same brand, the Chocolate Orange one isn't bad but it's nowhere near as good as the mint choc chip stuff.

Dr Oetker pizzas are currently £1.50 each in Asda too. I don't normally spend more than a quid on a pizza but these things are fucking gorgeous. They're VERY thin and crispy and taste fantastic. I got a Special (pepperoni, ham and mushroom), Pollo (chicken and spinach) and a new limited edition flavour (can't remember what it's called now but it's ham and red onion).

Tesco often do them for £1.50 each too.

Have now tried the Raspberry Pavlova and Caramel Fudge flavours of that ice cream now. In terms of yummyness:

1) Mint Choc Chip
2) Raspberry Pavlova
3) Caramel Fudge
4) Chocolate Orange

Avoid the Chocolate Orange one because it's nowhere near as creamy as the others.

Doritos got a "Win up to £500 every day" offer on the back of their packets.

Is that the multipacks or just single packets? I love the cheese ones. Doritos, Skips and Wotsits (and every now and then Frazzles) often contain Brucey Bonus packets that have LOADS of flavour on them. Skips in particular make you trip your balls once you eat one of these packets lmfao :o ;D ;D ;D

I'm pretty sure that the people that work in these factories do it on purpose, which is AWESOME 8)
