United playing MK Dons away tonight. Last time we had a 2nd Round match we got knocked out by the mighty York City :-[ ;D
Here's my predicted lineup:
Linda
Keane Jones Blackett
Young Fletcher Powell James
Kagawa
Wilson Van Persil
-
Might stick £10 on the mighty dons to do you over, lets face it, it wouldn't be a suprise ;D
-
Well it is a Cup match so anything can happen :(
-
Wont be great odds :D
-
10 changes :o
De Gea
Keane Evans Vermijl
Janko Anderson Powell James
Kagawa
Hernandez Welbeck
Janko has been very impressive for the U21s during pre-season and the first two U21 matches. Not a bad side as it goes. Wilson on the bench, was hoping to see him start this evening. He's going to be a HUUUUUGE player for United in the future.
-
Fucking hell, how was that assault on Powell not a booking..? :o
Kagawa off injured, Adnan on to replace him.
-
Aw ffs, 1-0 down lol ;D ;D ;D
-
Don't know what Evans was thinking. >:(
-
This is going to be York City all over again lol. We were looking great in the first 10 minutes too lmfao ;D ;D ;D
-
1-0 down at halftime. Time to sack Van Gaal!!!!!! :P
I can see my idea of the Domestic Treble going tits up lol ;D ;D ;D
-
3 attempts on goal, 0 on target. You couldn't make it up lmfao ;D
-
2-0 now lmfao :o ;D ;D ;D :-[
And we haven't had a shot on target yet lol :-[ ;D
Terrible. :(
-
3-0, game over lololol ;D ;D ;D
-
lolololol, oh how I wished I had put that bet on ;D ;D
Sacked by christmas 8)
-
Wahahahaha 4-0 now.. this is fucking hilarious! ;D ;D
-
:'( ;D ;D ;D
-
Never mind harv, just think about all the games that you wont be playing this season because of it ;)
I've heard that Di Maria has just handed in a transfer request ;D ;D
-
Git lmfao ;D ;D ;D
-
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ;D ;D ;D
-
Oh well, at least it was only 4 goals lmfao ;D ;D ;D
Only 2 trophies to go for now >:(
-
Di Maria is like

;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Have I still got time to put A POUND ON UNITED BEING RELEGATED.....
;D ;D ;D
-
Bring back Moyes, he was like Fergie compared to LVG.
-
Oh wow, Harv i dunno what your thinking but that bunch of players aint even good enough to play div 1 football. Never united class them youths.
Only one who looked decent was Wilson. He should have started.
-
The problem with the sides (including the U18s and U21s) at the moment is that Van Gaal has changed their passing movement. That's why so many of our passes are going astray. It's going to take time and everyone needs to be patient. You'll see a big difference in as little time as a few weeks for all 3 sides.
-
Well I watched the game last night.. I guess there were a few talking points.
The Costa stamps.. I'm not convinced he meant either of them.. the 1st one (on Can) certainly looked worse on replays.. the 2nd one was nothing really.
But considering Lucas and Henderson deserved to get 2 yellow cards.. there's cause to complain against the referee on both sides. Chelsea also should of had a penalty.
I wouldn't of blamed the referee regardless of the result because we had quite a few chances to put the game to bed in normal time. Liverpool were good in the first half, Courtois keeping us at 0-0 but we pretty much dominated the entire second half and extra time.. Liverpools plan was to lump the ball up to Sterling who was sitting on the shoulder of our defensive line.. it didn't really work.. Zouma had a good game and looks very promising. Bringing Bollocktelle on in the 2nd half was great...he offered nothing and he gave us our goal with his shit marking in injury time.. the guy is an absolute waste of a player.. so I hope Liverpool keep with him ;D
Spurs or Sheffield Utd in the final - don't really care who we get.
-
We blew in the first leg. Should have 2-1 or even 3-1 but going to Stamford Bridge with a 1-1 was always going to be near-impossible. We played well in the first half and Costa really should have gone, but we got fortunate with a few decisions ourselves. Skrtel's challenge in the box was stupid and should have resulted in a penalty, Henderson should have gone for a clear and deliberate handball, and Lucas was also lucky to still be on the pitch after committing a number of fouls whilst on a yellow card.
We did ourselves proud, but the lack of cutting edge in our game really cost us. The only reliable goalscorer we have is Sturridge.
-
Well that was an efficient win ;D
You could see spurs were struggling with the midweek game as-well - they had a fair bit of possession in the first half but didn't do anything with it.. we scored our first goal at the right time but it all came about from spurs dithering in defence.
Bit of a boring game, but it was a well deserved win and our first trophy of the season :D
My heart sunk a little bit seeing JT lift the cup and no Frank :'( Didi was a fine replacement though ;D
-
Looks like we've got a bit of a problem at the back. Shaw, Rojo, McNair and Jones all injured, although Jones may end up on the bench tomorrow against Ipswich. Could be looking at the following defensive line-up:
Valencia Smalling Blind Darmian
Or:
Darmian Smalling Blind Young
Or maybe:
Darmian Smalling Carrick Blind
Van Gaal has plenty of different options, I'd be tempted to field the first option above.
-
Team news:
De Gea
Valencia Smalling Blind Young
Herrera Schweinsteiger
Roonster
Mata Pereira
Fellaini
Great to see Pereira getting a start. 8)
-
The Roonster puts us a goal ahead. This match is impossible to watch, streams are being a nightmare >:(
-
Well that's something you VERY rarely see. I think the ball just burst lololol :o ;D ;D ;D
-
What a shite match lol :-[ ;D
Pereira makes it 2-0 with a free kick.
Almost woke me up lmfao ;D ;D ;D
-
Another goal from Martial, and another great finish. 3-0.
That's a more respectable scoreline 8)
3-0 final score, fair play to Ipswich...they gave us a few problems here and there.
-
Brenda's getting sacked in the morning surely ;D ;D
-
Lol, extra time. Love it!!! :o ;D ;D ;D
Boro at home next round, Stoke away for your orrible lot :P
Martial is really looking like the dog's bollocks so far, I think there's a reasonable chance that we're going to end up paying £58m for him 8)
-
Aw...they got through on penalties...but will probably get knocked out against Bournemouth next round lmfao ;D
-
I'm off to The Owls vs Arsenal on the 27th as a travelling gooner. £30 ticket...
-
I'm off to The Owls vs Arsenal on the 27th as a travelling gooner. £30 ticket...
Be nice to see you lot again...If I was Wenger I'd save the first team...no point in spoiling your league prospects lol
-
Yup, I reckon he should give Cech another rest cos that went really well last time :P
-
Well that's Chelski out. Lost on penalties. Probably for the best though because if they went through that would give them more games to play and possibly hamper their relegation dogfight. :P ;D
-
What a night. 6 and half journey up.. Shocking performance and defeat... Broke down when we left the stadium.. 8 and half journey back.. Got in at 6.30am.
-
Looks like Van Gaal is resting a few players:
Romero
Darmian Jones Blind Rojo
Carrick Fellaini
Pereira
Lingard Memphis
Wilson
Hopefully it's not going to come back and bite us on the bum the way it did with arse!
Good luck late! ;D
-
Oops, got my defence wrong :-[
Smalling is in instead of Jones. ;D
-
Fucking hell, we've been terrible so far :o
-
0-0 at halftime. We've been bloomin useless >:(
-
The Roonster on for Wilson. There was a bit of booing when he came on :o
-
Saw that dodgy 'tackle' (more like an assault tbh) from Lingard at halftime, he's VERY lucky to still be on the pitch. :o :-\
-
Young on for Rojo.
-
Fucking hell, Romero nearly put the ball into his own net after a back pass :o ;D
Game has really opened up this half, Boro looking more likely to score :(
-
Martial on for Memphis, who's had a terrible game. :'(
-
Christ on a bike, this has a pretty exciting last 10 minutes or so. Either side could have gone through, but now it's coming to Extra Time :o
-
Penalties!!! :o
Could have had a couple of penalties during the game but Boro, and Ayala in particular, deserve to get a chance to go through.
-
Shite, what a terrible couple of penalties from the Roonster and Carrick :o :'(
Boro deserved to go through to the Quarter Finals though tbh.
-
Blimey, didn't see that coming at all.
Bring on Everton in the quarters :D
-
What's that saying about people in glass houses ?? ;D
Still I'm glad the £100m united have spent on new players this season has really improved their side.
I mean, losing on penalties to a championship side is much more of an improvement over losing 4-0 to a championship side hey!
-
Fucking hell, we've been terrible so far :o
Never mind Harv..
saves you getting beat by us in the final again ;)
-
What's that saying about people in glass houses ?? ;D

Us losing last night wasn't a disaster. You lot losing on Tuesday night was a disaster, and another nail in Mourinho's coffin. Unless the Chelski board sack him soon you'll be looking at 7th/8th place at the end of the season AT BEST. :o
He'll be gone before December but it won't be soon enough to get you Champions League football next season.
Who knows, your Ruskie owner might get the hump and do a runner leaving the club needing to pay his £1bn+ loan back lol :o ;D
-
Chelsea haven't gone 2 consecutive seasons without winning a trophy until 2004, so I've no doubt we'll be back to winning ways soon... no-one else in the premier league can boast that little statistic can they? ;D ;D ;D You've won jack shit since Fergie left and look set to win jack shit this season too! No idea how that makes it a disaster for us and not for you - Van Gaal needs to win a trophy this season or he's definitely out on his ear come the end of the season...lets be honest, the league cup was probably the most obtainable so it is classified as a disaster.. especially since you went out to a championship side for the second season running.
-
We're still in 3 competitions though, and whilst any trophy is a trophy the League Cup is the lowest priority. I'm a bit pissed off that we didn't go through but we're far more likely to win one of the three remaining competitions than Chelski who are in serious trouble at the moment.
It's been clear for a good few weeks that Maureen has lost the dressing room and the board not getting Klopp in was a huge mistake.
Another couple of defeats in the Premiership before December and you could be looking at the danger of seriously getting into a relegation dogfight. You've got the following fixtures before December:
31/10 The red scouse gits at home
04/11 Dynamo Kebab at home
07/11 Stoke away
21/11 Norwich at home
24/11 Tel Aviv in a war zone(?)
30/11 Spurs away
You're only 5 points away from the relegation zone, another couple of defeats and you could be right in it. Which is pretty hilarious given the grief you've been giving United these last couple of seasons lololol ;D ;D ;D
I think that Maureen will go if you don't beat the red scouse gits on Saturday which will be a shame cos Maureen not being there may just save them from the drop lmfao :P
-
This is where such as Arsenal are getting it wrong lads....Now fair enough Man utd and Chelsea have won the Champs league...So fair enough, you see the League cup as less of a priority...With arsenal the other night at our place, they tried to mix and match youngsters with seasoned pros....15 minutes in...2 of the seasoned pros had hobbled off after doing nowt bar jog on grass..
I mean for a club thats been tw*tted by Olympiakos at home...and will probably get tw*tted away in Munich...They should have concentrated on what is one of the 3 comps they "Might" win...The League cup being one of 'em...
Lets face it....History tells us arsenal aren't going to win the Champs league...They should field a weakened side in that competition..common sense eh?....
but they swan up here..expecting a walk in the park cos its Sheffield Wednesday...its arrogant and naive...We might not have done much recently...but honest..a full Hillsborough on an Autumn evening..bouncing about..Is not a place for a few kids mixed with folk who aren't bothered...Its funny but at half time I said to my lad...
"We've won this..they have frozen"..Its rare I'm comfortable at half time with Wednesday 2 up...I'm not comfortable if theyre 4 up...I was the other night though against Arsenal
-
I think we have a great chance in this tournament and to finally get a trophy which i would like to win (Everton).
I went the last round against Norwich at home when we won on pens, first game ive been for a good 6-7 years and i'll be going more now lol.
-
The Bitters won it on penalties. A no-win match for me lol :o ;D
-
9 changes from the last match:
Romero
Fosu-Mensah Smalling Blind Rojo
Carrick Schneiderlin
Young Herrera Memphis
Rooney
Should be enough to beat Northampton but they've just had a ridiculous unbeaten run which ended this weekend just gone.
-
A thunderbolt from Carrick puts United a goal ahead. ;D
-
Bollocks. Awful defending and a penalty gives Northampton an equaliser just before halftime. :-[
-
Northampton upped their game in the last 10 minutes of the first half, 1-1 at halftime. Maureen has to take off Rojo at halftime, he's been fucking awful. >:(
-
Zlatan and Rashford on for Memphis and Fosu-Mensah.
-
Another nice finish from Herrera puts United 1-2 up. 8)
-
3 goals now with Rashford not giving up on a long ball he had no hope of getting because it was miles away. A mistake by the keeper and an easy finish for him. 8)
-
City in the next round. Easy peasy ;D
-
Was gutted that we went out against Norwich.
The form we are in aswell, shocked! ???
-
Team news for United:
De Gea
Valencia Rojo Blind Shaw
Carrick Herrera
Mata Pogba Rashford
Zlatan
;D
-
What a crap game this is so far. 0-0 at halftime and neither side has looked like scoring. :o
-
Much better half from United and Mata puts us 1-0 up ;D
-
1-0 final score and a deserted win for United, although to be fair it was only to be expected given the side that Maureen put out tonight and City playing a second string side. ;D
-
1-1 at halftime against the Hammers. United have had the better chances, Adrian will probably get a post-match red after a disgraceful challenge on Zlatan before he scored. Fletch got the equaliser after a rare mistake from De Gea.
Decent match so far.
-
And yet ANOTHER defensive injury for United as Blind comes on for Shaw for the second half. :'(
-
Nice goal from Martial puts us 2-1 up ;D
-
4-1 final score. 2 from Martial and 2 from Zlatan.
The score was a fair reflection of United's dominance I think.
And the BIGGEST surprise is that Basti came on for the last 10 minutes :o He got a great reaction from the crowd when he came on and every time he touched the ball. He was actively involved in the last goal too.
Is he the only player to have played after a fallout with Maureen..? I can't remember anyone else managing it. :o
-
The draw for the Semis:
United v Hull
Southampton v red scouse gits
Micki was fantastic again today, won the MOTM but there were plenty of players up for that, mainly the front 4 but Jones was also in the running imo.
-
7 changes for United from the FA Cup match:
De Gea
Valencia Jones Smalling Darmian
Herrera
Mata Rooney Pogba Micki
Rashford
That's how they MIGHT lineup but any of those 5 front players could switch positions or we could end up playing 4-5-1 with 2 defensive midfielders instead of with 1. Or maybe 4-3-3 with Herrera as the number 6..?
So many options.
Hull only have 6 substitutes :o
-
And Zlatan is ill apparently. :o
So he is human after all, I've had my suspicions that he's an android. He shouldn't be able to play the way he has been at his age...
Or maybe he IS an android and this is a ruse to disguise an oil change lmfao :o ;D
-
The phrase 'fuck my luck' springs to mind for Hull fans. Yet ANOTHER injury. Bloody hell :o
-
A great first half from Hull, 0-0 at halftime. It's been all United so far apart from Hull hitting the post but the vast majority of our chances have been long distance efforts. They've been reasonably solid at the back so far despite having 2 midfielders at the back.
The longer we go without scoring the more Hull will start to believe that they can snatch a win :-\
-
Phew! Mata puts United a goal up. ;D
-
Martial coming on for Rooney. No record tonight then. :(
-
Second goal from Fellaini. Got to feel for Hull, they've been fantastic tonight.
-
Bloody hell, yet another injury for Hull. If he has to come off and they don't get anyone back they could end up with just 4 subs at the weekend. Yep, he's just come off. Bloody hell :o
-
2-0 final score, and that's 9 wins on the trot for United but a tough match on Sunday against the red scouse gits.
-
I've also just realised that if Hull sell (Pongo) Snodgrass before the weekend and don't buy anyone they could end up with just 3 subs on the bench :o :-\ :o
-
Hull get a VERY soft penalty and go a goal up. 1-2 on aggregate. >:(
-
Pogba gets the equaliser after decent work from Rashford. 3-1 on aggregate now.
It's been a pretty poor performance from United so far though.
-
Hull go ahead again with 5 minutes to go. 3-2 on aggregate. Time to park the bus lol
-
And that's yet another Wembley appearance for United. 8)
Only the Worthless Cup but they all count! ;D
-
They all count.. (when your not winning the major trophies)
-
They all count regardless. It may not be a major trophy but it's still a trophy. I won't be too pissed off if we lose the Final, but I'll still be a little pissed off.
-
Bloody hell, congrats to Bristol City, they've just knocked us out :o
A great performance from them, I thought it was going to go to Extra Time...I think our fitness would have won the tie if it went to Extra Time but they scored the winner in the last minute :'(
Oh well, I hope they go on to win it now! ;D
-
And this season we've been knocked out by Derby on penalties. Shame it was only the League Cup because if it was another Premiership match or FA Cup match I reckon Maureen's job would be more under threat lol :o ;D
-
It was probably your only realistic chance of silverware this season though.
Jose will be gone by xmas.. and so will Pogba by the sounds of it lol
-
Pogba knows full well that Maureen will be gone before the end of the season, either with him jumping or being pushed. Same goes for Martial and any other player that's fallen out with him too.
Pogba is just 'doing a Rooney' anyway. He wants a pay rise.
-
Meh, Pogba is shit anyway, £89m and not even half the player as Hazard.. Not that I like Hazard's attitude, but at least he's not constantly bitching like a baby.
-
Omfg, wish I'd watched the Final now lmfao ;D
Sarri tried subbing the keeper who had cramp, keeper refused to come off, Sarri has a hissy fit but kept the keeper on. He'll be sacked tomorrow I reckon. You can't have a manager backing down like that, he should have insisted the keeper came off when the ref went over and asked him.
Never mind, I'm sure Maureen won't mind coming back lololol :o ;D
-
Don’t hear much from Jman on here these days. Be good to hear his opinions
-
Don’t hear much from Jman on here these days. Be good to hear his opinions
You won't hear from him, he tends to disappear when Chelsea start going down the swanee lololol ;D
-
Gave my opinion at the start of the season somewhere.
We have a manager that has not won anything in his entire career and an assistant manager who has done awful throughout his PL managing career - I said we wouldn't win anything this season and stick by it. I was amazed that we went on an 18 game unbeaten run at the start of the season - well and truly found out with some of those results... but unbelievably, even with a decent run, united could still finish 6th and arse and spurs are the biggest bottle jobs going so - so there's still hope for top 4 I guess.. but the football has been more boring under Sarri than it was under Mourinho.. I'd take Mourinho back for a 3rd time even if it is for temporary success, only side he didn't win the title with, was United lol.
I'm surprised anyone but harv is still here tbh, as soon as united start winning a few games you never hear the end of it from him, same old, same old... I bet he still thinks united are actually going to win something this season lol.
-
We'll we've got a good chance of winning the FA Cup and are still in the Champions League. Even if we win bugger all and don't get a top four place I (and the vast majority of United fans) am just happy that we're playing attacking football again.
The frustrating thing is that we've had a squad capable of winning the Premiership every season since Fergie retired but poor managers playing boring defensive football has prevented us from reaching that goal.
Ollie's record since taking over in all competitions is Premiership winning form:
P18 W14 D2 L2 F39 A13 GD+26
-
Well it's that time of year again - the Worthless Cup 8)
Spurs got knocked out on penalties, arse and City are through to the next round.
United have Rochdale tomorrow, the way we've been playing we'll probably get fucking battered lol ;D
-
Strong team from Ollie:
Romero
Wan-Bissaka Tuanzebe Jones Rojo
Pogba Fred
Pereira Lingard Chongy
Greenwood
0-0 at halftime. Their keeper has made a couple of decent saves and Pogba missed a sitter. :(
-
Greenwood put us 1-0 up and a 12 year old gets an equaliser :o
There's no fucking way he's 16 ;D
-
I reckon we'll end up going out from penalties just like the Spuds :'(
-
Bloody penalties, we should have had a penalty at the end too. :'(
-
Well that was a relief, we scored all of them and Rochdale missed one so we're through to the next round.
Their keeper deserved the MOTM, he was outstanding.
Poor finishing from United again though. We should have scored 3 or 4 goals but most of our attempts were off target.
-
Away to Chelsea in the next round. 8)
-
Three at the back for United again with four changes to the side that beat the Canaries:
Romero
Lindelof Maguire Rojo
Wan-Bissaka Fred McTominay Williams
Lingard
James Rashford
Probably 3-4-3 with Lingard as the number 10 I think.
-
Bloody streams playing up again. United a goal up through a Rashford penalty ;D
-
And that's halftime with United going in a goal up. Chelsea have had plenty of possession but haven't been able to do much with it thanks mainly to McTominay. They've hardly been in the final third and when they did manage to break through our three central defenders have cut their goal chances down to just 2 and they've both been off target.
United haven't done THAT much better though, 4 attempts on goal and 2 on target...and one of those was a penalty.
It's a very tight game so far and pretty boring to watch. :(
-
Looks like Fat Frank got the hairdryer out during the break, much better half from Chelsea and Batshuayi has just scored a great equaliser :o
-
United switching to a back four with Martial coming on for Lindelof and Pereira coming on for Lingard.
-
Fucking hell :o
Rashford puts us 1-2 up with an AMAZEBALLS free kick. Wow. ;D
-
Not as good as I thought...came off the wall.
-
Young on for Rashford, Young playing at left back and Williams on the left wing.
Another solid performance from William's, McTominay MOTM for me.
-
Actually, scrub that. Williams playing on the right.
-
And that's us through to the Quarter Finals.
A much better half from Chelsea after such a poor first half but United have defended well and McTominay pretty much ran the game from midfield.
-
Team news for United:
Romero, Young, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Shaw, Matic, Pereira, Greenwood, Mata, Rashford, Martial.
Subs: Grant, Jones, Williams, Garner, Lingard, McTominay, Chong.
Looks like Ollie isn't messing around tonight, a strong team fielded. I was hoping to see more of the kids playing tbh.
-
Rashford looking a bit lively in the first couple of minutes! :o
-
Rashford's finishing has been terrible despite his fleet of foot.
0-0 at halftime, 13 shots on goal in the first half and only 1 on target. :o :'(
-
That's more like it. A REALLY quick break on the counter and Rashford puts us 1-0 up. Colchester have defended pretty well, particularly the two central defenders, but Rashford just tore them to pieces with that counter.
-
And now an own goal puts us 2-0 up. If the defender hadn't put that in Rashford would have buried it I think.
-
Martial makes it 3-0.
Lingard on for Rashford and Williams on for Shaw.
-
Garner on for Tuanzebe who looks like he's picked up a knock. Static is playing at the back in his place.
-
Forgot to update this. We ended up winning 3-0 in the end. With a bit of luck Ollie will be on his way to win his first trophy! A two leg Semi Final and then the Final. ;D
-
Just seen that we've got City in the Semi and the winners will face either Villa or Leicester in the Final. 8)
-
Just seen that we've got City in the Semi and the winners will face either Villa or Leicester in the Final. 8)
Game over pal and its only half time :(
Shocking united again. But this City side are class and can beat anyone on there day.
KDB sitting Jones on his arse was class lol. Gonna be far to much of a task to turn this around at there place. Not even sure what this will end up lol.
0-3 down at half time and you take of jesse and put matic on LOL
-
Well that was a bloody disaster. ;D
At least we got a goal back! Was watching it on a delay cos I was in a car on my way to Kent this evening. Just finished watching it.
I think De Gea might get dropped next match. Bring on Romero!
All we need to do is beat them by three goals in the away leg and we're in the final. Easy peasy 8) ;D ;D ;D
-
All we need to do is beat them by three goals in the away leg and we're in the final. Easy peasy
:) :) :)
Away goals dont count, So could win 0-2 and do em on pens lmao
-
It's all City so far, we're trying to catch them on the break but not being too successful due to their pressing. :(
-
0-1 to United now, good finish from Static.
City's pressing cooled down a bit because it's pretty much impossible to keep up that level of pressing for long. It's both mentally and physically tiring.
I still think we'll get knocked out but at least we've got a goal.
City are starting to get a bit rattled now.
If we can get to halftime without conceding then it really is game on.
-
They've got a goal but it was a mile offside.
-
0-1 up at halftime. It's about time that Static did something useful in a United shirt. 😂
A risky tactic for Ollie to play but it's working so far. Since we got the goal the Berties have started to get unsettled. Their still in the proverbial driving seat but if we get another goal it'll be squeaky bums time for them I think.
I expect they'll get the hairdryer treatment during the break though so should be settled down again for the start of the second half.
The next goal, if any more get scored, is going to be vital.
-
James replaces Greenwood for the second half because he picked up a knock.
-
Stirling just missed a great opportunity to get a goal. United are controlling the game this half, City playing on the counter.
-
Pereira on for Lingard, looks like Ollie is shoring up a bit more defensively since City started to gain a bit of traction in the last 10 minutes.
-
Static sent off for a second booking. :'(
Can't see us going through to the final now, the players were looking knackered with 11 men. :(
-
Mata on for Shaw.
-
That's City in the Final, we won 1-0 tonight but it wasn't enough to get us through. A good performance from the lads, they did themselves proud.
-
A strong side fielded by Ollie, Henderson gets his first senior start for United. 10 changes from our last disastrous game:
Henderson
Wan-Bissaka Bailly Maguire Williams
Fred Matic
Van de Beek
Mata Ighalo Lingard
Mata put us 0-1 up from a penalty just before halftime. Luton are playing deep and parking the proverbial bus. We've been more accurate with our shots, 6 shots and 3 on target.
Luton have had a few chances (6) but none on target.
-
Van de Beek, Mata and Igalho off, Fernandes, Rashford and Greenwood on.
-
Good double save from Henderson 😲
-
Such a shame that Bailly can't stay fit for more than 5 minutes. He's a cracking defender with decent pace, an ideal partner for Maguire.
-
Rashford and Greenwood made it 3-0 in the end. Am disappointed that we didn't score more but Luton were VERY disciplined at the back for most of the game.
-
Loads of changes for United:
Henderson
Dalot Bailly Lindelof Williams
McTominay Fred
Mata van de Beek James
Ighalo
😁

McTominay puts United 0-1 up with a free header from a free kick. It's been a bit of a crap game so far, both teams cancelling each other out for the most part.
-
Rashford and Pogba on for Ighalo and James, who have both been AWFUL 😲
-
Both of those players had great starts to their United careers but just stopped playing so well after a few games. Very odd.
Henderson made a great reaction save earlier too.
-
Mata makes it 0-2 with a really composed finish, and van de Beek with the assist from a nice little back heel flick. Nice goal. 😎
-
Pogba makes it 0-3 with a free kick. Took a deflection but Pogba will claim it. The Dubious Goals Panel will probably put that down as an own goal I reckon.
-
And that's a 0-3 final score and us in the Quarters in December. 😁😎😁
-
Well that's Brentford, City and Spurs through to the Semis. Team news for United:
Henderson
Tuanzebe Bailly Maguire Telles
Matic
van de Beek Pogba
Fernandes
Greenwood Cavani
Probably 4-4-2 with a diamond, certainly an attacking side.
-
It's been all United so far with Everton getting their first attack going at around the 20 minute mark.
We had half a dozen corners after 10 minutes 😲
-
They ended up growing into the game about halfway through the first half but the half ends 0-0.
United with 10 attempts on goal and 4 on target, the Toffees had 4 attempts and 3 on target.
We weren't anywhere near clinical enough in the first half but we have been the better side. 😁
-
Martial and Rashford on for van de Beek and Greenwood.
-
Cavaniiiiiiiiiiii!!! 😁
Fantastic hit from Cavani and the assist from Martial puts United 0-1 up.
-
5 minutes Injury Time 😲
-
Martial, 0-2, assist from Rashford.
That's us in the Semis now. 😁😎
-
Team news for United against the Berties:
Henderson
Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
McTominay Fred
Rashford Fernandes Pogba
Martial
Probably playing with a double pivot but we could also be seeing us playing in a 4-4-2 diamond too with that line up.
Hopefully Ollie can break his Semi Final duck and get us into the Final vs the Spuds. Either way I think the winners of this tie will lift the trophy at Wembley 😎😁😎
-
Two offside goals disallowed for each side in the first 5 minutes and Fernandes just had their keeper pulling off a GREAT save.
Looks like this is going to be an entertaining match! 😲
-
And de Bruyne has just hit the woodwork 😲
-
0-0 at halftime and it's been a great game so far. United have had the better chances as the second half is about to start 😎😁😎
-
Bollocks. 0-1 down, poor defending from Maguire from a free kick. 😭
-
Fucking Internet has gone and my mobile signal is spotty at best. Fucking shite. Haven't been able to see thing or get any info. Bollocks. 😡🤬😡
-
0-2 down now and that's probably us out of the League Cup. Bollocks.
-
Bollocks, about 10 seconds after the final whistle my Internet is back up. Fucking typical. By the sound of it we were looking like getting a goal and then the second goal killed us off.
Second goal was poor defending too by the sound of it.
This leaves me with a no win scenario in the Final, either the Berties winning or Maureen winning. I'm NOT happy!!! 😡🤬😡😭
-
United's first League Cup match of the season against the Hammers after beating them away the other day. Team news for United, 11 😲 changes:
Henderson
Dalot Lindelof Bailly Telles
Matic van de Beek
Sancho Mata Lingard
Martial
Would rather not have Martial and Mata playing but otherwise that's a decent side. 😎😁😎
-
United 0-1 down at halftime 😭☹😭
-
Well that was disappointing, went a goal down after 8 minutes and the Hammers pretty much clung on for dear life for the rest of the match.
Oh well, disappointing to get knocked out but I'm not going to lose that much sleep seeing City win the thing again 😂😂😂
-
United beat Charlton 3-0 last night to reach the Semi Final of the Worthless Cup. Not sure who we're playing in the two-legged Semi yet though.
And another 2 goals for Rashford too 😎😁😎
-
We've got Forest 😎😁😎
Am surprised that they're going for two legs considering the fixture pile up this season thanks to the dodgy as fuck World Cup though. 🤔
-
3-0 to United in the first leg, ending a crazy unbeaten run at home for Forest, I'm pretty sure it was September last year that they last got beat over there 😲😲😲
And now we've just beaten them at Old Trafford to get to the Final at Wembley on 26th February.
The most important thing is that United are playing like United again, for the first time since Fergie retired.
We're playing fast paced attacking football again, preferring to pass the ball forwards instead of backwards and sideways.
And we're FINALLY getting rid of the Glazers.
At this time of posting we're in the Worthless Cup Final, still in the FA Cup, still in the Europa League and are in the top four.
I don't think we'll do the Quadruple though lol, but I'll be more than happy with a top four place and one trophy in the cabinet at the end of the season, especially after how last season ended. 😲😲😲
