Don't be taken off guard by this competition. Its the same as any other 16 Team league except the bottom two get payouts. It's a different type of challenge. 8)

This is now a viable competition with nine Managers already in. It would be great to get the other seven Managers in asap. Its just like entering any league to benefit your gelling, except there are 3,000 more credits paid out. ;) 8)

The 12th player is lined up to join. Unless we have a flourish of 4 more players we will KO with 12 Teams. This competition should be oversubscribed as it plays the same as any other private league. However there are an additional 3,000 credits up for grabs for finishing in the bottom two. Easy(ish) with the champ trying to retain his grip on 16th place. Play your players out of position, get the weather wrong, the boots and the aggression. Anything to hamstring your team, if you want to win the coveted Runciple Spoon. ;) 8)

I enjoyed reading this report, more like a rugby score than a soccer one. I normally finished towards the bottom of the private leagues so I reckon I am well placed to finish bottom of this one too.

I see the current holder of The Runcible Spoon has already moved to Pole Position after just one game. He will take some stopping. ;D ;) 8)

After two games the ruling champion is still in pole position. We had a tactical change today. We decided to try and win the league. At the top end. Four teams still with zero points competing for the Runicble spoon.

This seems like a great competition and a lot of fun.  I really wish I had entered and ( assuming we are all still playing this game)  I definitely will next Christmas.  I might even acquire a second team and untrain them especially for next year's Runcible Spoon.  Would that be allowed?

It is fun to play. I think the spirit of the game demands that you try and hamstring your current team rather than bring in a team just for the tournament. 8)

Cool.  Ok  I'm glad I asked.   I will enter next year with my current team.  :)
