United 0-1 down at halftime but it's been a good performance. They've had LOADS of possession but haven't done much with it so far. 3 attempts on goal and only 1 on target. We've had 5 attempts on goal but none on target.

0-1 final score in the end and a great performance. We were only let down by poor finishing, 10 attempts on goal and none on target. De Gea didn't have a great deal to do, they had 6 attempts on goal and 3 on target.

I can see us scoring over there in the away leg though, not sure if we'll end up winning over there though...but then I thought the same thing about PSG so there's still hope we can go through.

How was it a great performance if you didn't have any shots on target and lost. ;D ;D

Because we were playing decent football and had the Barcelona defence filling their trousers at times. If we had better finishing we would have won the match, Messi was kept pretty quiet too. If we play the same way over there but improve our finishing then we'll end up knocking them out.

We certainly weren't playing like a side that's 21 points away from first place in the Premiership table, although to be fair to United we're only 21 points away from the top because Maureen is a useless twat.

Haven't you lost 4 out of your last 5 under Solskjaer, been knocked out the FA cup, slipped back down to 6th and pretty much been knocked out of the champions league?

I'd have Mourinho back in a heartbeat - most decorated manager of the modern era ;)

Yup, we've had a bad run but we're still in with a shout for 3rd place. Before Ollie took over we were in 6th place, 11 points behind 4th place and with a Goal Difference of -1. According to Maureen it would take 'a miracle' to get us to 4th place.

Even if we don't make it into the top 4 I'm just happy to see United playing like United again. The Barcelona defenders were filling their trousers for most of that second half.

Team news for United:

De Gea, Jones, Lindelof, Smalling, Young, Fred, McTominay, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Martial

Bench: Romero, Dalot, Mata, Pereira, Matic, Sanchez, Lukaku

Looks like four at the back with Jones at right back, perhaps? :o

2-0 down already lol ;D

Both goals from Messi. First after a mistake from Young, second after another huge mistake from De Gea.

We started off really well too. :'(

Fred had a couple of decent games, he was motm for me during the first leg.

3-0 now, cracking goal from Coutinho  :'(

Dalot on, switching to three at the back.

I think a chocolate freddo would be more useful than Fred... lol.

Can't believe he played Lingard up front.. Ole hasn't got a clue.  Maybe I was a bit rash with him not lasting 2 seasons... he's not even gonna last 1 full season lol ... gone by Xmas, you heard it here first ;D

3-0 final score, at least this leg wasn't a routine, although ig did come close. Not enough attempts on target again, only 3. Barcelona had twice that. :'(

The problem that Ollie has is getting rid of the dead wood from the squad. Wholesale changes to a squad need to be done in stages. Matic, Valencia, Lukaku, Sanchez, Mata, Darmian, Rojo and Bailly all need to go, and that's being generous.

Luckily we have Chong, Greenwood, Gomes and Garner coming through which should save us a few quid going forward but we need to spend a good few quid ON THE RIGHT PLAYERS before we can challenge for the Champions League again.
