Title: Why Do Writers Of Cop Shows ALWAYS Get This Wrong..?

It drives me mental. What, I hear you ask..?

Kidnapping and abductions. The vast majority of writers always confuse the two. An abduction is someone being taken against their will, a kidnapping is someone taken against their will and held for ransom. It's mainly US writers that fail to make the distinction but UK writers also do it.

It REALLY winds me up :o >:( :o
