Dear SL Community,
As most of you are probably aware by now, PL games did not play today and looks like the there is a bug/freeze.
I have got in contact with Junior and he is aware of the situation. He has seen the issue and is checking with the server hosts.
Hoping that the game will be back up shortly. I have asked Junior to let me know when the game is back up live again.

I would recommend everyone to set up their division games from now.
The reason I say this is because games maybe played later at anytime before division games and if so, division games will also be played.
There could be a chance the game gets fixed and then restarts again at a later date at 3pm GMT but it is not a guarantee.
So for this just do the smart thing and set up your division games now, the only loss that will come out of it is that you might not do rehab training but I'd rather that then not setting up a division game and thus getting thumped.

Just got more info from Junior;
The division games will be played tonight as usual.
It will go through the motions of playing the PL games (which has already been concluded yesterday).
There was a few anomalies in chat and with the sticking pages.
The server guys were moving from HTTPs to HTTPS standard for better security and speed but there has been a few kinks and they are currently being ironed out.
You may need to log out and login again to see things working better.
The only slightly slow page at the moment is the fixture list and that is currently being looked into.

I have informed Junior that some users are not able to log in.
He's looking into it now and said it might be due to the passwords not stored in the browsers as the login page is now https.
As a temporary measure, Junior will put sundayleague.com back to http for now so please do check if you are now able to log in and update me.

There was never any security in the first place but looks like there will be now. The switch is what has caused the problems for SL1 and I assume also SL2.

Been the same for so long now. Shows complete contempt for those that kept this site popular before. A simple log in and message on a forum or homepage once a month would go a long way for users, but even that seems too much to ask.

Cheers for sorting Kush - I managed to set up yesterday but many users wouldn't have. Nor would they have looked on the forum and seen your advice. Hopefully the division games are rolled back when this shambles of a site is back up and running.
Junior - you are lining your pockets from people's hard earned money. Bare minimum we expect is a product that works with bugs fixed - stop taking the piss and show some respect!

I have not been able to log in at all, since yesterday morning when I woke up, and I still can’t, I tried again 2 minutes ago, I have reset my phone, I have cleared all website data/cache and started again, all I keep getting is the same stupid message saying my username is wrong!!
I didn’t even think I would be able to get access to the forum to see what’s going on ;D ;D ;D
So I’m happy about that part at least 8)! I just hope it hasn’t messed up my league game as I am currently top of 6-1-1 and extremely happy about this, if I lose due to this mess up, as the games have been played by the time I get on, then I will be absolutely gutted!

I haven't been able to get in since Thursday now. Hope the games are rolled back if they were played. Not fair to those that couldn't get in.

I had the same on my phone, but it worked on a laptop. I only usually log on using my phone to set up tactics then head off, I only tried the laptop today because it’s the weekend…

I have messaged Junior once again this morning and now awaiting a reply.
I am still able to log in fine with my both my teams and everything is working accordingly on my side.
As a test, I just tried to log in via mobile and I could not and got the message 'Please enter a username that is atleast 4 characters'.
I urge you to try log in with a machine such as a laptop or desktop and see if you can log in from there.
I am not able to confirm if a rollback will happen.

Drew 1-1 with Mobtown for what it's worth. Division games must be rolled back - I won 6-0 against Lovely Horse who obviously was unable to set up.

You are now able to log in using a mobile device - I have just tested and managed to log in.
Junior has done a temporary fix to allow users to log in via mobile and should be fully fixed by tomorrow.
Please let me know if you are still unable to log in or having problems.

Just logged in via mobile. Got the security alert page before log in. Upon log in I still have access to admin chat and the ban button and appear as genadmin on chat.

I'm in now. And it's showing that the night game has gone back. And I will play it tonight.
But when I go on the league the points are showing that the match has been played and I lost.

It's because the security has been turned off.
I'm in now. And it's showing that the night game has gone back. And I will play it tonight.
But when I go on the league the points are showing that the match has been played and I lost.
I can confirm that a rollback has happened and division games will be replayed from yesterday and played once again tonight.
The rollback is currently happening now and can take upto 15minutes to finalize so just bear with it and things should go back to normal again.
Furthermore, the private league games will also run again but everyone has set up for this already....
Everyone has 16 hours to set up for the division games if you haven't set up already.
I know this may be conflicting as some teams set up and some not - There is nothing that can be done.

I've sent you a PM in game, please do have a look at it when you get the chance.
It's fully understandable for a rollback to happen due to some managers not being able to log in yesterday to set up but at the same time there were plenty of matches were teams set up and the outcome was fair but now those have to be replayed. Causes a pickle cause now you can change tactics and the outcome could be very different.
I did have a look at a few match reports 4am in the morning. I do recall Brendan Rodgers losing with multiple teams due to not setting up.
I think I remember a few other results.

If you know that you and your opponent had already set up, perhaps message one another in game and come to a gentleman's agreement set up that you both won't change tactics.
Try to get in contact with one other to know if tactics will be changed.
There were some big division games last night and I had a look at a few match reports earlier and saw teams were set up. Try sort it out between one another, I don't want to hear complaints tomorrow morning on a Sunday haha!

Are you using a mobile? If so a pop up will appear after you enter your credentials saying something like '' this form is not secure, are you sure want to submit? ''
Just press submit and it should hopefully work...

From what I remember, you did win your game yesterday :)
Is there any type of error that it gives you or is it just not loading the next login page?
Perhaps maybe try another web browser to the one you have already used or maybe even try use a vpn if you have one.

You are spot on with the rollback though - There is always mixed feelings when this happens.
I remember being screwed by rollbacks many times throughout my SL career but it's only right to do a rollback when users were not able to log in (whether it's 5 users or 100) and that was indeed the case. If users can not log in due to a failure from the website, it is not their fault whatsoever.
I appreciate all the nice comments, it really means a lot.
I'm just happy at least I can directly get into contact with Junior and explain issues to him first hand rather then emailing etc or waiting for replies.
As I said before, I'll always try my best for the SL community, we've practically all known each other for years here and it's like were one big family.
We all know the situation and problems that come with playing this game.

are you using google chrome on your mobile?
It could be a mobile cache issue, the homepage needs to be reloaded.
Try delete your mobile cache, website data and reload chrome or whatever mobile browser your using.
I'm on a iphone and using safari and am able to log in fine.
If any others can not log in please let me know.

Managed to log in through Chrome incognito mode. Still unable to log in via samsung internet, which is what I always use for this.

Clear the Cache and Storage:

I mean it should work after deleting the cache especially if it's working in incognito mode.

In Incognito, none of your browsing history, cookies and site data, or information entered in forms are saved on your device and that's why you can log in using that method
So theoretically deleting browsing history, cookies and site data would make it work on normal mode.
Try to disable any chrome extensions if normal mode not working and try then.
If that doesn't work then I have no idea...
I am in dialogue with Junior right now and he is also using a android device. He is able to log in fine.

I have no idea what is going on right now.
Junior is saying he's able to log in normal mode with his browsers on his android device.
I have been able to log in using IOS safari on normal mode.
You and SuperJ can't log in after deleting cache on android
I guess we just going to have to wait and find out if others are experiencing the same problem.

I've recommended to Junior to freeze games till tomorrow in order to get feedback from other users using mobile.
This has not been confirmed yet.
I am fortunate enough to be in the CS QF tonight and have already set up - I really hope others have as well.
I am incredibly tired and in need of some sleep so I'm going to smoke a fat one and then call it a night.
If Junior gets back to me regarding a confirmation of a game freeze within the next 20minutes, I will confirm here.
If not, I'm up by 6am and will give update if any in the morning.
In the meantime to any mobile users; please make sure to delete your cache and reload the browser.
If you are using google chrome web browser, I have provided the steps on how to do this which you can find a few posts above this.
If you are using another browser, just google how to do it for that specific browser, it's not rocket science :D
If problem still persists, disable extensions for your browser (only do this if you have done the above and still not able to log in).
If still, please let me know.

Well there is security measures now on the website which is always a good thing.
Bugs/issues could really happen at anytime due to the game and it’s code being severely outdated.

You was right to come back mate. I’ve been back a while now and this is the first hiccup. This will all get sorted and we will be back to normal in no time. If we lose Mr Gull and Mr Danemark it won’t matter, just a couple of mid table teams anyway 🤪

I have asked Junior to do this as you said some managers don't use the forums and won't know what's happened.
I have also asked if games will be played tonight as it seems like everything is back to normal and no managers who use the forums have mentioned any log in problems today.
I will update once I hear back from Junior.

Yes the games were frozen yesterday night as when Junior made some changes, users had problems logging in via mobile but this seems to have cleared up now.
It was best to freeze as only 8 teams were playing yesterday night and we wanted to get more feedback from users regarding mobile log in.
I am still waiting for confirmation that games (CS QF) will resume tonight. I assume it will but that doesn't mean shit without a confirmation from Junior.

Yes - I can only hope that Junior does it.
I have also mentioned to Junior that I created a thread on the forums and that he should not only see feedback from the community but should also give an update himself but unfortunately this has not happened and this is why I am acting as the middle man.

Still can't log in on the mobile without all that security stuff coming up....playing through mobile is how I play the game since I've returned, not sure I trust the site anymore.
I'll stay until the end of the season, mainly due to the fact we're almost finished the season and it would be unfair to managers in 6-1-1 if my fixture was replaced with a cpu team, when some have had to play me twice.
I actually needed to top up on credits to finish my re-build before this happened...glad I held off before all this went down.
Thanks for all your hard work doing this Kush, I know many people have tried to offer a takeover bid for SL over the years…instead of trying to buy this game, has anyone ever thought about ditching it and making there own game?
I haven’t got the expertise or know how, but we know a takeover bid is useless when the owner of this has no interest in selling.

I've logged in on both laptop and mobile and SL is working fine. Although it would be good if Junior could clarify that the site is secure and my details aren't at risk, as my browser is saying otherwise.

This man Junior seriously needs to get a fucking grip...... we all have mugs written above our heads I think. We are paying customers who he treats like absolute shit. He should be absolutely embarrassed, I would be if I was him. I've worked as a manager most my life and run businesses, and to not really give a shit about the customer base who play the game is disgusting... I've played before so I know what the man is like and what I've been told by other people who have contact with him. Even if he showed his face and posted in the forum once a month or when things like this happen... it would go a long way.
Apologies in advance... but it been a joke now for far to many years.
Hats of to you Kush but you should not have to be the middle man in all this when he clearly does not respect anyone, even when your trying to help. He should have bitten your hand off when you tried to buy it from him. Yet I guess for him seeing some money go into his bank account for fuck all effort who would give that up.

I'm back on had to change browser, which is total bollocks as this game should work on chrome it is the most used browser in the west of the world.
I got on last night but didn't set up out of respect.
Also working in digital marketing for years it's amazing the server isn't secure anymore shows the lack of love for the game I would happily invest in this as a business would be so easy to promote. To the younger generation due to its simplicity

It must be something from your end because I assume that the majority of managers can now log in no problems via web or mobile.

As a forum admin, I have access to his email only.
Ag does read and use the forum accordingly so surely he would have known about the freeze and the fix (delete cache) to get back in the game.
I hope all is ok with him, I will send him an email.

The email did not bounce back, meaning it is still in use to let's hope Ag is able to view.

This is the second time in a week that this has happened and I am at the end of my tether with the game. Therfor I shall be winding my teams down during the next season. Probably put them all in Holiday mode. Also due to the lack of interest in the Friendly League sign up, particulrly FL2. we shall be losing 10 teams and getting two new teams. I have delayed forming the leagues, waiting for reminders to be answered and there is a posibilty that the FL99. will not start on time. I will make sure that FL99. does start and also start FL CUP99. then I will step down from The friendly league so a new FL organiser will be needed..

I hope you reconsider winding all the teams down Brian. Maybe keep one or 2 going and really focus on them? Running 8 teams must be a nightmare for time and paying attention on rebuilds etc.
This season hasnt been smooth at all, the playoff times of the season are regular freeze points for whatever reason so I'm hoping things get a bit better from Day1 of the new season.

Sorry to hear that Brian, as Antony says I hope you reconsider.
Could be better for you to run less teams giving you less hassle and pressure and perhaps making the game a bit enjoyable for a change?
I am very worried with the number of teams that are playing FL in this new season.... to lose so many teams over one season is astonishing and sad.
I also have not heard back from Ag after emailing him. I hope that he is ok.....

As most of you have probably seen by now, game is currently frozen and games did not roll on.
I have informed Junior and he is aware of this.
He has told me that he will look into it tomorrow as he does not have access to a PC at this very moment.
Hopefully it will be resolved and I will push and reach out to Junior once again tomorrow.

The change of time looks to have messed up the database for some users when logging in.
So that basically means the game is currently broken for some users, whilst others are ok.
I have informed Junior of this and will let you guys know when I get a reply or when there is an update regarding this.
There will probably be a rollback but can not confirm anything at the moment.

" The server hosts switched the DNS to the backup server by mistake, so I'm going to have to give it some time to sort itself out for everyone.
It usually takes about 24 hours ''
Games will be paused until this has been resolved.

PL and Division games will not be taking place as everything is now on pause.
Junior will be monitoring the situation and this could take up to 48 hours to fix.
Will update when we are able to play again.

Well done for getting updates Kush 8). I did email Junior twice myself and got blanked twice >:( ::).
Have a sneaky feeling this may well turn out to be a bit more of a complicated fix. Still getting floodlight failure messages when trying to look at fixtures for competitions my end. I'm also getting 2 different chat logs when I switch between Borg & theborg accounts.
Be interesting to see this how this one unfolds.

I've just messaged Junior telling him that PL games have taken place but users still experiencing issues from their side.
I have asked him to look into this and let me know what's going on.
Hopefully get a reply as soon as possible.

I am in dialogue with Junior:
So basically the problem is that some users are logging in using the old servers and some are with the current.
This seems to be a problem on both PC and Mobile devices.
Games have been paused once again until the situation has been sorted.

There is currently a fix for PC users who are having issues.
FIX:
Search in windows for their "hosts" file - usually located here:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Add these lines to it, and then it will force their computer to use the new server/game:
These can be removed after a day or two.

This should be working for everyone on PC but if it's not please try do the above.

I have told Junior that some users only log in with mobile but unfortunately there is no fix for this at the moment and he is trying to sort it.
For this, I have asked that games be paused until further notice.

I think everyone now has been moved on to the current server? - Please let me know if you are still on the old server i.e your seeing different fixture list etc.
There is a 'floodlight failure' issue when looking at the fixture lists. I have notified Junior and he is aware of this and is trying to fix it.
In regards to SL2 -
Still a few issues with SL2 as the server hosts fix one thing but end up breaking something else. Junior is looking into this.
Division games SL1 were played last night so I would assume that todays PL and division games will also be played.
I would highly recommend you to log in and set up. If you can not set up or having problems after logging in, please let me know.
I have asked Junior if games will be back on pause whilst he clears up the above issues but no confirmation as of yet - Will post up when I know.

SL1 is now back up and running, working accordingly!
Everyone is now on the current new server and the floodlight failure issue has been fixed.
I have tested this myself and it is back working.
SL1 is now back and business as usual so log in and set up as usual.
There will be no rollbacks and no more pauses. GAMES WILL BE PLAYED TODAY.

I have messaged Junior again today in regards to the ads that are popping up on every web page.
It is getting to a point where it is very frustrating and I can not imagine how it's like on a mobile as I set up on desktop/laptop 99% of the time.
I've asked Junior if he can get rid of these or reduce them.
Will update on this when I get more info.

server hosts had to upgrade the SSL certificate this week. They may have messed with some file permissions causing the current freeze.
Junior will look into this today but it’s highly unlikely it will be resolved by tonight.
After speaking with Junior, we have agreed to pause the game now until 1st January, so division games will be played and game will continue rolling on from 2nd January @ 3:00AM GMT. No point in unfeeezing and then freezing again for a day.

I am not able to log in and forums was not working earlier but now is.
I have been told that CS again did not play.
I have informed Junior of this but but still yet to hear anything.
Will update on here (given forum access still works) and on Telegram.

Junior is now looking into the issue and has said that games should be played tonight.
I have asked him to confirm this once he fixes the issue.
I would advice to set training and set up for your game if you are playing tonight.
Once I get confirmation everything is working accordingly, I will update.

Junior has rolled back to last Friday afternoon as the disk filled on Saturday.
Afternoon games will run again tomorrow 04/03/24 15:00GMT and night games will be played the same night as usual.
NO CS GAMES TO BE PLAYED TONIGHT.

I was upset about my afternoon games which I won in the first place, but lost after the rollback.
I should have get used to it. It's not the first time this kind of thing happens.

Sorry Mihai, I have just seen this.
I also set up before the rollout and did not view advanced tactics thinking it was still saved but after seeing the match report, my tactics seemed default which was weird.

Hi Brian,
I didn't get that when I logged in around midday today.
It might be a thing where it happens on a daily basis around the time you log in (4am ish).
I know it used to be a thing between 12:45am-1:15am everyday and I would get the same error but I still log in around that time or after and haven't experienced any errors recently.
I hope you was able to set up accordingly mate.

It is incredibe that the game runs at all given the complete lack of care and attention devoted to it.
Sad to see the game declining to what it is at now. :(
