Next season a new private league will commence called the super league. The top 2 teams from each conference will be invited to start the first season, so make sure you finish in the top two if you can. There will be promotion and relegation and I'll confirm how that will work in due course.

The Super league is now full. If it works well there will be promotion / relegation rules rather than inviting the top 2 each year. Good luck to all of those that are taking part.

Super league kicks off tomorrow and if successful to a second season would just like to confirm how promotion relegation will work. Won't just be invite to top 2 because not fair on team that might win it, finish 3rd in conference and have to drop out.

Any team winning their conference and not already in super league this season will be invited to join. This could mean anywhere between 0 and 8 new entrants and 0 to 8 relegations, but likely to be somewhere in between, about 2 probably. If you win your conference, but finished in bottom 3 of super league you won't be invited.

The aim is for a minimum of 3 relegations. If you finish bottom 3 you will at first instance be relegated. If the above process does not result in 3 promotions the second place team with most points will be asked. Unless that team finished bottom 3 in super league.

If this still does not result in 3 new teams 3rd place teams will not be invited and a relegated team may retain their place, but I think that will be very unlikely.

Finally if teams drop out then new invites will be asked based on highest conference position including those teams that were originally relegated.

Thanks to all that took part and invites for part VI will be circulated once final league positions are known.
Part V was highly competitive (6 point gap from 1st to 6th). This is expected to continue and the rules have been strengthened to maintain integrity.
A manager that has more than one team must disclose that when accepting the invite. When the two teams meet the following STRICTLY applies
1) Instructions, aggression and boots must be the same for both teams.
2). The formation and style must be appropriate for the conditions and be in line with what the Manager would usually play.
3). Players must not be selected out of position.
4). The STRONGEST side must be selected (i.e. same approach as if you was playing a different manger). So 11 first team players will be expected to be selected (not for example 10 first team players). Clearly this is not an exact science and and element of reasonableness would be applied for what is considered marginal decisions.
If the above is not followed then you may receives a few questions. Unsatisfactory answers will result in the team benefiting from exceptions to the above rules no longer invited. Therefore consider these rules before entering two teams for part VI.
The above amendments will close any loopholes that MAY develop.
