Title: Football Betting
Post by: jman on October 24, 2012, 03:50:26 PM
City have to win tonight, at 3/4.. think its a smart bet against an Ajax team that they should beat..

My 5 way bet tonight :

Man City @ 3/4
Malaga @ 10/11
Arsenal @ 11/10
Porto @ 8/15
PSG @ 4/7

£2.83 bet returns £47.84

With a £5 covering bet on just City to win returns £8.75  ;D

You're better off having 3 bankers, doing 3 singles, 1 treble, doubles, a trixie and a patent. You'll generally get double your stake back (including your stake obviously) if they all come in and your stake back if only two out of three come in. Not big money but generally a safer bet that picking 5.

I always make a profit every season doing this.

Well arse couldn't stick the ball in the net against the mighty Norwich City, what on earth made you think they could beat Schalke..? :-\ ???
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on October 25, 2012, 08:12:44 AM
Good defensive record.. top of their group and at home... they have scored enough in the PL so far..

...they were just crap last night.. same with norwich...

...regardless.. it was city who I was more suprised with.. they really are crap in europe, Ajax took them to pieces  :o
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: harv on October 25, 2012, 08:46:43 AM
They've scored bugger all in the Premier League so far, despite having 'the best squad' in the Premiership lol ;D
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on October 26, 2012, 08:17:01 AM
What, 13 goals in 8 games.. its not great but more than enough... they have only conceeded 6 so far (joint best defense) and were top of their group...

Could easily say betting on united is equally as risky due to the fact they have conceeded so many goals.. against some poor teams too... if I was to have a bet on the chelsea/united game.. I would be betting on chelsea to beat united for that very fact..
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: harv on October 26, 2012, 10:02:43 AM
Joint best defence...but the table doesn't lie. They're going to be in the bottom half of the table soon, and whilst defensively United have been pretty poor we've had no problem sticking the ball in the net - we're only 4 points behind Che£$ki and have had 14 different goalscorers.

We may get beat on Sunday but even if we do we're still in a much better position than arse ;)

Post by: jman on October 26, 2012, 12:31:44 PM
Didnt you have a bet on arsenal to beat manu when arsenal played a yoof team last season.. yeah... think you did  ;D

Anyway only done a few small bets this weekend :

5 way accum
Spurs @ 4/6
Newcastle @ 10/11
Everton @ 13/8
Villa @ 10/11
Stoke (Draw) @ 9/4
= £2 at 57/1

Chelsea leading 1-0 at HT, 2-2 FT score = £1 @ 55/1
United to come from behind and draw = £2 @ 11/2

No backing bet this week - didnt fancy arse or city for their matches this week funnily enough  ;D
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: harv on October 26, 2012, 08:17:44 PM
Yup, but the odds were 6/1 so it was worth (as far as I remember) a fiver at that sort of price. You do get upsets every now and then :P

I might email Paddy Power at some point to see if they'll give me odds on Van Persil scoring more Premiership goals than Giroud and Podolski added together. 8)

Bookies were basically giving money away last night... Got on Dortmund -2 at 5/2 against some German 3rd tier side when Dortmund were playing a full strength team. They won 4-1. Stuck a tenner on and got £35 back, decent little profit.

Tonight I'm on -

Real Madrid -1 (KO at 9pm)
Malaga -1 (Currently 1-0 up)
Atletico Madrid -1 (Currently 1-0 up and the other team is down to 10)

£10 on for £130 back
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: ancelotti on November 01, 2012, 09:05:42 PM
Not happy about that... Real Madrid won 4-1, Atletico won 3-0, and Malaga somehow managed to concede 3 goals to a Spanish 3rd tier side and only won 4-3!! Damn them!

FA Cup weekend though so bound to be plenty of opportunities to make the loss back.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on November 02, 2012, 10:03:41 AM
What a pain...

Gone with

Chelsea
Man United
Spurs
and Sunderland all to win this weekend..

9/1 combined odds.. the only worry I have is if sunderland will actually score.. the others should win their games I'd think.

Will grab a paper tomorrow and do my FA Cup accumulator while Im having a crap.. my best thoughts come then.. any tips (on the betting, not on going to the toilet) would be handy

I've just discovered a foolproof (but VERY tedious) way of earning money on online roulette. Put a quid on Black, if it comes in you win a quid profit and if it doesn't come in you double your stake each time until it does come in to make yourself a quid profit. Have had a few squeaky bum moments when I've had 64 quid on Black and wouldn't have had enough to go for 128 quid but my profits are increasing very steadily - started off with a 25 quid no deposit bonus for Ladbrokes Casino...and I now have £147.

I need to rollover that £25 30 times but the way this is going it won't be a problem...I might even go for the method of putting 2 quid on Red, 2 quid on Black and 1 quid on Green to see if that still works lol.

Update: I now have £326 lol. My bonus expires after 48 hours, so it'll drop down to £301 at some point...still, can't complain about getting free money :P

Just wish it wasn't so tedious >:( :o

Aye Harv, it's called the Martingale system I believe... lol

Tried it myself once but got bored quickly... Very effective if you wait until there have been 3 or 4 reds/blacks in succession.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: harv on November 02, 2012, 08:43:59 PM
Looks like this needs to be done in stages, the house doesn't like losing too much in one go. I was over 600 quid in profit then had 10 reds in a row and lost it all lololol ;D

Oh well, will use the same system next time I get a free few quid to spend in the casino, and make sure I don't go from 25 quid to 600-odd quid in one go lol.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on November 02, 2012, 10:41:56 PM
You really are a wally lol, if you toss a coin x amount of times, it's proven that it will eventually even itself out, therefore you'll never win any money unless your lucky and stop when your ahead and when you factor in the 00, the odds are always stacked in the bookies favour anyway, your a bit dim if you think the bookies can rig the games too, especially if you think if 600 quid would rattle them lol
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: harv on November 03, 2012, 12:01:02 AM
Well a lot of these systems advise you to do these things in small doses so there must be something in it lol :P

There's another system you used to be able to use on the machines in the bookies where you stick 2 quid on Black, 2 quid on Red and a quid on Green, meaning you lose a quid each time...but the machine sees itself paying out on so many Reds and Blacks that it bungs in more Greens than it should. Used to work years ago but not sure if they fixed that with a software update, only worked on the machines though rather than online as far as I remember.

Serves me right for getting greedy I guess. Kept on telling myself to stop at 400, then 500 and finally at 600 lol. Never mind, will do this again next time I get some free cash from the bookies and do it in smaller stages ;D

15 quid on Chelsea to win on Wednesday at evens, great bet IMO

Put 1.50 on a 3-1 scoreline at 14:1 too
Title: Re: Football Betting

Mega-bet this week - 10 way accumulator - just a £1 bet...with odds of over 1700:1  ;D

Gone for..

Wins
Arsenal
Everton
Reading
United
Citeh
Newcastle
Chelsea

Draw
Saints - Swans
Stoke - QPR
Wigan - West Brom

put some much smaller accumulators on too with a backing bet which covers any losses on united to win (who have the shortest odds this weekend).. they "should" turn villa over easily..

Title: Re: Football Betting

Might as well spend a pound on the lottery as doing one of those big accumulators
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on November 11, 2012, 07:54:22 PM
Not really... 3 numbers works out at about 56/1 and 4 numbers works out at about 1032/1 - and you'd get less than £100 for 4 numbers... least I'd get a proper return doing the football - granted I only got 4/10 this week.. but if the saturday ones came in, I would of probably waited to see if citeh won and then hedged the last two bets to guarrantee a return..

Actually won £4.73 in profit this weekend.. did risk £10 in total.. but £7 on united won me £10.73p and I had a seperate £1 bet on arsenal to draw with fulham which I forgot about at 3/1 - would probably of won naff all with £10 on the lottery though... its when the backing bet loses that you get stuffed... but since I only bet small amounts, its just a bit of fun...
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on November 16, 2012, 01:32:25 PM
See if I can do a bit better than 4 teams this week.. my 10-way accumulator goes

Wins
QPR, Fulham, United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Citeh, Liverpool

Draws
West Ham, Reading, Arsenal

1245/1 - so nearly the same odds as getting 4 numbers on the lottery...
73p returns 900 odd quid

Main/Covering bet is a united/citeh double at 1/2

Wow so many wrong at the weekend lol... lost pretty much £10 on last weekends football thanks to norwich..not that Im bothered too much seeing as they helped us out quite a bit!

got a few bets on tonights game

Vidal to score first.
Chelsea - Juve to draw.
Chelsea to come from behind and draw.

Cant see us winning this tie.. a loss would be unacceptable though  :-\

Not bad for a £20 stake lol. :P
Title: Re: Football Betting

Bah! Had a bad run due to me getting greedy and not sticking to my system of 50p starting stakes and keeping it to £5 profit each time. Upped it to £1 stakes and £10 each time and things didn't end well lol. Was down to £186 but have started with my system again and am back up to £285. Not doing that again, slow and steady wins the race lololol ;D

Tonight

Bayern to win @ 10/11
Mandzukic @ 5/1 to score first
Double on Crystal Palace and Leicester @ 5/2

and Porto vs Malaga to draw @ 5/2

all small stakes tonight though.

I took Bayern at -1, £10 on and £34 back.

Also stuck a quid on 3-1 Bayern and 1-1 Porto/Malaga for £205 back but Malaga let me down.  :'(

I looked at that Man vs Bookie site Jman.. they don't seem to get many right lol. They tipped Swansea the other day.  :o
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on February 19, 2013, 11:35:21 PM
lol.. yeah Im not too sure about that site yet... I think my mate said to only take notice of the tweets - and they tweeted this afterwards - "Apologies for football on site! Hopefully you ignored them and followed my tweets today #MvB" so not sure how the website differs from their tweets.

One of the tweets was Bayern to win and both teams to score - I think the odds were 5/2 - although I think it was a bit fortunate for that to come in - I didnt want to risk it in case Arsenal had a complete mare.

They gave 1/2 on Cardiff to beat Bristol City last weekend - which was a great bet in itself.. won £10 on that
But they also tipped 1/3 on Arsenal to beat Blackburn.. not such a good bet - luckily I didnt bother with that.

Think you should only use the tips if you feel safe using them.. as always - nothing is a dead cert.

Coral were doing some kind of special promotion - hence why all the odds are 100/1 - all he needed was Barca to beat AC Milan 2-0.. and he'd of won £1 million on a 1p bet LOL
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on February 22, 2013, 12:11:28 PM
Well I've been following the horse racing tips on that manvsbookie website for the last 2 days now.. they have 2 main tippers.. Monster Tipping & BigJoeHorseTips... I have only been following Monster Tipping so far and from my initial £8 stake - I've gone to £17 in 2 days - thats not bad going if it keeps following that ratio.  Today I've bet £14 of that profit - using 3 tips on Monster Tipping and 1 from BigJoeHorseTips - so it will be interesting to see what return (if any) I get today.. if I lose it all, then I lose it all..I probably wont bother again... if I get to £40 (4x the initial stake) - I'll withdraw and start again.

Edit :
Just seen their results page on the website and for the horse racing tips in February they are on about +220pts.. but on the football they are only up +4.4pts - so it seems to me that the horses are way more profitable on this site than football is - which is what I've kinda seen over the last week or two.  Basically if you had bet £5 on every single horse racing tip (£2.50 for the EW ones). Plus a treble bet on each set of 3 tips from each tipster - then you'd be up by about £1100 profit from Feb 1st to Feb 17th  :o

Just an update on that free tipster website - went down to just £8 on friday so it was pretty much back to zero profit again on the horses - forgot to bet on Saturday (they had 3/4 winners out of 8 for Saturday I think).... but I put a quid on each of the 8 bets they recommended today, 5 single winners came in, and one of the trebles came in @ 33/1 - so up to £52 now - the only horse that let me down was in a good position, made a mistake and unseated the rider - if he would of come in he would of also activated another treble and all 8 bets would of returned over £200 (for an £8 stake) :o

Anyway, £30 of the profit is coming out so I can continue next week with a £22 initial stake.  Looking like a good tipping website so far, but not gonna get too carried away -  just sticking with £1 bets for now and make sure I only play with profit.
Title: Re: Football Betting

Sounds good, but remember all tipping systems go through bad runs so sometimes those profits get chipped away. Might start having a punt on those myself later on this week.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on February 25, 2013, 08:23:17 AM
Exactly why im sticking with £1 stakes for now.. Im only bet with what I can afford, but football betting has been really patchy this year.. it seems pointless even trying to guess the results.  Like I said, the site seems good on the horses, not so good on the other sports.. and its a fairly new site, so not many people know about it yet.
Title: Re: Football Betting

About £120 in profit since signing up to Willy Hill at the weekend. I'm finding the over x amount of goals markets to be quite profitable! Last couple of nights I've had:

St Etienne v Lille  –  Over 1.5 goals, Leicester v Blackburn - Over 1.5 goals, Barcelona v Real Madrid  –  Over 2.5 goals, Everton v Oldham  – Over 2.5 Goals  -£20 on returned £75

and the night before: Spurs/West Ham, Levante/Osasuna, Lazio/Pescara all over 1.5 goals, De Graafscahp v Go Ahead Eagles and Volendam v Dordrecht over 2.5 goals  - £20 on returned £150

Always keep an eye on the Dutch Jupiler League if there are games on. There's always tons of goals. 3 out of 4 games the other night had 7 goals in them, the other had 2!

Tonight I just stuck £20 on over 1.5 goals in the Celtic, Anderlecht, Bayern and over 2.5 in the Sevilla match for £65 back. Doesn't look like it's coming in though.  :'(

Fairly new site (in association with PaddyPower) - it gives you £100,000 and your object is to get to £1million in 10 days.. you can play for free.. you dont win owt.. but if you play for money you will win something if you get to £800k+  Pretty good idea - I started yesterday and got to £280k ish in the first day.. not bad!

Alot of crazy talk about Real Madrid tonight. I think the main and best bet for me tonight is United to qualify @ 11/10. I just don't get it. A team 12 points clear in the premier league, in great form, Already has a crucial away goa,. At home. 11/10 compared to Madrid's 4/6 to qualify. Crazy Crazy. When Real Madrid don't turn up their terrible. When United don't turn up their capable of still turning out results. 1/2 for both to score is to short IMO. 11/10 United to qualify. Get on!
Title: Re: Football Betting

I'll make a note of that one should I ?  ;)

Both teams to score at an aggregate score of 1-1.. well it certainly wasnt going to be a 0-0 last night.. so whoever scored first - means the other team has to pile everything forward otherwise they are going out.. and both teams have great attacking threats - I thought the odds were decent myself.

Also had a sneaky Ronaldo to score anytime bet before kick-off which was at evens...  good evenings work!

Decided to have a little run on the Confederations Cup... trying to get to £1000 before I withdraw.

Started with £20 on Brazil to beat Japan + Neymar anytime scorer @ 6/4 - returned £50
Stuck the £50 on an Italy + Spain double - returned £177
Stuck the £177 on Nigeria -2 (was the only game to bet on!) - returned £266

Next games are on Wednesday I think.

Nice Kenny.. I was thinking of doing an Italy win last night.. just couldn't be arsed.  Spain should beat Tahiti quite easily.. Nigeria vs Uruguay will be a harder one to pick although I'd fancy Uruguay to win
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: ancelotti on June 20, 2013, 07:45:38 AM
That's extremely unlilkely though deals as the odds would have been about 50/1 for 4-3. My bet was a little over evens, which is the same as most bets I put on. Big stakes and low risk is the easiest way to make money in football I find since it's so unpredictable. Fortunately in this Confederations Cup the favourites have won everytime so far!

Today I'm looking at Uruguay + Suarez anytime at 2/1. Difficult to find any value at all in the Spain/Tahiti game... even Spain at -7 is 4/6!  :o

The way I've posted those wins it looks like I'm trying to make myself out to be some gambling guru. I'm really not lol. I'm probably down a bit overall (mostly thanks to blackjack which I lost about £200 on a few months ago, never playing it again!!!) to the bookies but it's always nice when you have a little run of wins.
Title: Re: Football Betting

Bugger it. Stuck 100 on Spain -8 at 11/10. If they turn up it's very possible - Tahiti have been beaten 10-0 and 9-0 by New Zealand and Australia in recent years! Don't trust Uruguay enough to get them involved.

Citeh to win at evens today, it must be, arse were jank in mid-week and aguero will destroy them, I stuck 20 on anyway
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on December 23, 2013, 11:18:05 AM
Quite fancy arsenal to win tonight.. the draw no bet is at 4/6 which I might take on instead.. I don't like betting against my own team.. I think we have the ability to win and if it was at the bridge, there's no way I'd bet against us.. but we just seem to be scraping every game at the moment and not finishing teams off.. another mediocre performance and I can see arse outscoring us
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on December 23, 2013, 11:28:43 PM
I ended up putting £10 draw no bet on Chelsea in the end, I think it's going straight on citeh to spank livrrpool on boxing day, Liverpool's defense is proper dodge, but there should be plenty of goals either way
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on January 03, 2014, 09:11:42 AM
Got pissed and put the £17.50 I won from the previous bet on west brom to draw with west ham, which they did - that gave me just over £50, which I put on chels to beat the saints the other day returning £110, not bad for a weeks work  :P

Sunderland or draw

Damn Everton!

Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on February 18, 2014, 09:57:33 PM
Well I had £10 on barca to win and £5 on PSG to win tonight.. made a profit of £21.. nicely done.. I counted up how much I've made/lost in betting this year so far including tonight's bets and I've made a profit of £4.10 so far  ;D ;D

Stuck £15 on Bayern to win tomorrow to rectify that.  8)

Edit : Wow, arsenal were dog shit after the sending off.. well after the first 10 minutes actually... withdrew most of my money, but put a fiver on Spurs to win tomorrow.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on February 20, 2014, 10:08:14 PM
Well spurs let me down tonight.. how the fuck did soldado miss from 4 yards out...  :o

Not a football bet, but I've stuck a tenner on Sweden to win gold in the Mens Ice Hockey.. they *should* beat the finns tomorrow to make the final against USA or Canada.. the swedes have probably got the best NHL goaltender in Lundqvist and their forward line is pretty solid too.. USA and Canada have been underpar in the tournament so far.. so I think the swedes have a real chance.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on March 05, 2014, 03:02:14 PM
Well Sweden lost the cup final quite comprehensively.. so that bet was knackered.. Canada saved their best for the final game.. but it was definitely worth a punt at the odds they were giving..

I normally lose every single bet I place on England games.. but I quite fancy the 4/6 to beat Denmark tonight.. I know if I bet on them, we'll play like dog-shit.. and if I don't, they'll play great and win 3-0 or something like that.. I haven't put a bet on yet.. but you'll be able to tell by the performance tonight if I have or not.  ;)
Title: Re: Football Betting

Well I lumped £15 on England to win.. and they did.. but only just.. it was a dire performance and we were lucky not to concede a goal.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: harv on March 08, 2014, 03:48:40 PM
I would just like to apologise to all CHelski fans everywhere. I've chosen Chelski to beat Spurs as one of my bankers this weekend. If Chelski beat Spurs and Citeh beat Wigan tomorrow I should be getting around 45 quid from a £5.20 stake on a series of Doubles, a Treble, a Trixie and a Patent. :-[ ;D

They'll probably get beat 10-0 now and Citeh will get knocked out of the FA Cup tomorrow lol :P

Mind you, I did have arse as my first one and that result came in so you never know! :o
Title: Re: Football Betting

Nice. Spurs 2-0 down and down to 10 men lol ;D ;D ;D

All I need to happen is for the Bitter Blues to get a result tomorrow and I'm quids in. Can't see Spurs coming back from this now.

lmfao ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Wigan beat Citeh lololol ;D ;D ;D

Got my money back plus a couple of quid on the 2 results that came in and hedged my bets with a £1 stake at 14/1 for a Wigan win.

Not the financial result I wanted but this weekend hasn't been a complete disaster in terms of finance or football 8)
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on March 10, 2014, 11:03:40 AM
Are you just making this up.. ? No seriously... I'm calling bullshit on your bet.

I mean what odds did you get on the 3 teams.. because when I looked, arsenal were around 4/6, Chelsea were around 4/7 and city were around 1/6.  So a £5.20 treble on that would of returned a profit of less than £11.  Doesn't matter how you split your £5.20 with trixies and patents, the best possible return on those matches is from a treble.  You are lowering your odds using doubles, trixies and patents.. so your profit would be even worse.

The only thing I can think of is that somehow you got promotional type odds on the matches which you never mentioned, either that or you risked more than £5.20.. or you just made it all up  ;D

Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: harv on March 10, 2014, 02:16:49 PM
Whoops, had a look at my account and didn't have as much cash as I thought I had. Turns out that I only had one result out of the 3 because I put the money on Spurs instead of Chelski lmfao. :-[ ;D

Normally with these bets I end up getting twice my money back if all 3 results come in and my money back through the doubles and trixie if just 2 come in.

Was still up thanks to Wigan winning luckily lol

Gonna be betting on every game at the world cup.. will only be small stakes and will only be doing W-D-W bets.. be interesting to see how much I can make/lose.  Anyone got any fancies for the WC (except Brazil of course) - Uruguay at 25-1 is quite tempting  ;)

Separately I put a fiver on the Blackhawks to win the NHL playoffs at the start of it at 8/1 - They reached the semi's the other night.. and will be playing either the Ducks or LA Kings - I'm quietly confident since Boston and Penguins both got knocked off last night and they were the bookies favourites  ;D

Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on May 30, 2014, 02:24:24 PM
Oooh just seen Paddy Power have got a special on top goalscorer on the World Cup -

Bet £20 on top goalscorer and get a free £5 bet everytime he scores  :o  Starting at 7/1 (Messi) - that would be a pretty decent bet in itself considering the Argies have got a fairly easy group
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on June 03, 2014, 10:32:28 PM
Well I've gone and put 20 big ones on Aguero as top goalscorer at the World Cup @ 14/1

£5 Free bet every time he scores..

Coral have got money back (as a free bet) on outright markets if Brazil or Argentina win it - not bad if you fancy sticking a large amount down on someone else.

England 6/5 not to qualify from the group on PP.. might have to give that a go!  ;D

South American team to win it - 10/11 - rather tasty I think!!

___________________________________________________________________________________

NHL Playoffs - Blackhawks got knocked out in the semi's by LA Kings - utter shit.. how they lost that series I'll never know.

I make it I'm just over £5.00 up on my daily £2 bets so far..  ;D ;D well worth doing!!!

Although I've been a bit unlucky with the Swiss result, they won it in the last 30 seconds of injury time.. and the Uruguay result pissed me off no end!  Quite happy to say that I got the others fairly wrong without it being too big a shock or a last minute decider

Wont be betting on MOM again.. MvB said they were doing a twitter campaign to sway the results.. and after Mikel got MOM in the Nigeria game at 7/1 (he played shit) - I kinda bought into it.. and went with Andre Ayew in the Ghana game.. I thought the odds were really shit at the time.. looks like the bookies cottoned on - Paddy Power didn't even list Ayew because of it

Anyway it didn't matter one bit because Dempsey was awarded MOM lol.. I think most of the bookies are stopping with the MOM market now after getting completely hammered for the past couple of days.

Done alright in Europe this week, along with a good few bets coming in on the CL this week.. I reinvested some of the profit across tonight's european games.

Had Fiorentina to beat spurs at evens and an accumulator - Fiorentina, Besiktas, Inter & Everton that looks like it's coming in at 14s  ;D.

Got citeh and chelsea to win and west brom to draw at the weekend
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on March 02, 2015, 09:18:54 AM
Well the banker bet was Chelsea to win - so the lost bets were cancelled out.

Right before the match I put £2.50 on Hazard to score first which obviously failed.. but £2.50 on 2-0 scoreline at 8/1 came in for another £20 profit...

Done well this week, up about £80  :D
Title: Re: Football Betting

Getting in on Cheltenham action early.. Coral emailed me a Bet £10, Get £10 Free Bet at Cheltenham offer..

Although to be honest, the premier league matches are tough to choose from this week.  I went with a Chelsea win in the end.. I think the cup win on Sunday and the fact Citeh lost will really drive them on to win again...

Had a sneaky punt on Norwich to beat Wigan aswell.. Norwich 6 wins on the trot and Wigan second from bottom.. thought 4/7 was pretty good considering Norwich are at home too.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on March 05, 2015, 08:22:06 AM
Shouldn't of bloody bothered with Norwich.. lost a couple of quid overall, but gained a £10 free bet, so that's not bad.

I'm waiting until Monday until I put my bets on for Chelts, you always seem to get super special bets from some of the bookies on the morning of the races although I am tempted to get my money on Un De Sceaux now in the Arkle as he's a dead cert!

Arsenal to beat United at 19/10 has to be bet of the weekend on the footy though!  8)

Link (http://www.paddypower.com/football/uk-football/premier-league?ev_oc_grp_ids=111192)

Aguero 3/1 - just cant see anyone beating him.. he's been bloody fantastic for the past two seasons...

Costa 6/1 - think his injuries are going to hamper his chances again this season

Rooney 9/1 - just doesn't score enough as he's not a natural striker - has a chance with Van Girl saying he will be no.1 up-front all season though.

Benteke/Kane/Hazard/Sanchez - no chance

Giroud 25/1 - the only one I think who has a chance outside the top 7 prices of doing it.  Bit of a risk though.

Yeah I stuck a score on Aguero at 3/1.  Not the best of starts with just 1 goal but early-doors so far and better than Rooney and Giroud lol

I put that £2 free bet on a 4 way accumulator last week for the league cup games.

I picked out Sunderland, Newcastle, Leicester and someone else to win.. Ended up with £12 real money.. so recouped more than half of the original bet already lol.

Had £20 on Barca to win last night.. at 17/20 - it was a stupidly easy decision to make.. Arse gave a good account of themselves in the 1st half.. but they didn't take their chances and made a few mistakes in the 2nd half and you can't do that against Barca.

Pocketed £30 and spent the rest on :
Dynamo to draw tonight with Citeh.. they played well against us.. and think it will be a tight match.
Arse to beat Utd on Sunday - Arse have two days extra rest and (most importantly) aren't shit.. so at 6/4 that's a good as bet as any I can see this weekend.
Soton to draw with Chelsea.. we'll be looking forward to next weeks CL game* - and Soton have a tight defense with Forster back in goal.. we could possibly lose this one.
Then gone for a acca on Wet Spam/Leicester/Stoke/Spurs  ;D

*Edit : Oops just realised our CL game is 2 weeks away.. just a regular PL midweek game next week.
Title: Re: Football Betting
Post by: jman on March 04, 2016, 01:47:34 PM
£5 on Spurs to beat le Arse... as per usual, Arsenal have crashed and burned.. although a loss for them tomorrow would probably put them out of the title race for good (if Leicester also win) - so they would probably be well up for it.

£1 bet on a stupid 100/1 acca too.. had to be done  ;D

PSG, Citeh, Barca treble for tonight

Bit risky betting against Arseholes... but they always finish 2nd.  Citeh and Barca *should* stroll a win.

Managed to get on Leicester - just £6 at 3/1 to progress... I thought it was a very fairly priced bet to be honest.. they've been playing well since Ranieri left.. haven't been betting too much on football recently, but the last 3 weeks I've been having a bit of a flutter.. mainly because I keep winning, gone from about £5 in my account to £80 just on the footy alone  :o

I bet and lose alot lol.

God knows why i keep betting.

I had a 7 fold acca the other week all teams winning with 10 mins to go would have won £800 but huddesfield conceded and drew 1-1 at the death. Cash out was £360 or something but i didnt bother. Kind of wish i did now lol.
