Manger Interview - Superj
« on: September 03, 2017, 09:57:21 AM »
The latest person to have a manager interview is Superj.

See to his Q & A's below:

Q. How long have you been playing Sunday League?

A. On and off for a long time! First time was around 2001-2002, must have came and gone 5-6 times in the last 15 years. Would love to know how much I've spent in that time.

Q. What got you in to Sunday League to begin with?

A. It was my cousin, I remember I must of been around 13 he came over to mine, told me about this game that everyone in his school was playing, he showed me it, I didn't think much of it at first but after a couple days I was hooked and telling everyone in my school about it.

Q. Were you on any other servers before the merge on to one server?

A. Only Piggy really, I remember I might of had a few stints in the others such as Smokey, Benny and Mogzilla but it was mainly Piggy for me.

Q. What are some of your biggest achievements on Sunday League?

A. I can't remember if it was on Piggy just before the merge or if it was just after but I remember winning 5-1-1 unbeaten while also winning the Elite cup and Champions Shield all in the same season. Or it was back when I first started playing there was a team which I'm sure some people will remember (SL Mallorca) they went on a massive unbeaten streak and I managed to end their streak in a World Cup final, I was so proud of myself that day.

Q. Who is your biggest rival on Sunday League at the moment?

A. I wouldn't really say I have a 'rival' but I do have a couple bogey teams, if there is anyone I do like to get a result against though it would have to be Mr Borg

Q. Why did you choose the team name you have?

A. I can't really remember, it was some time ago now, I think it was something just totally random and I just stuck with it! Originally back on Piggy my team was called Corinthians, as you might be able to tell I've got a soft spot for South American football

Q. What goals do you have for the future on Sunday League?

A. To finally win a X-1-1 again! Or any sort of major competition would do, even though there's not as many managers as there used to be, it doesn't make it any easier.

Q. What would you call your biggest loss on Sunday League?

A. Probably the end of last season went into the last game top and was playing against a team I'd never lost to before, only to lose and end up coming 3rd, that was a tough one.

Q. Which Conference would you say is the toughest right now on Sunday League?

A. On average I'd have to say conference 2
But it doesn't take long for power to shift in the world of sundayleague

Q. Which Football team do you support and why?

A. Hard to admit at this current time but I'm an Arsenal fan, coming from Essex close to east London most of my family are big West Ham fans but I remember watching match of the day in the early-mid 90s and just fell in love with the way Arsenal played. Just a shame with what's starting to happen there right now.

Q. What is your favourite Football memory?

A. Got to either be arsenals double season in 98 or the invincible season, something that I don't think we'll see again in the premiership anytime soon!
Another big memory is Greece winning euro 2004 I was 15 at the time but got my dad to put a £10 bet on them to win at the start of the tournament and I won £1250, for a 15 year old it made me feel filthy rich!

Q. Lastly, If you could change one thing on Sunday League, what would it be?

A. I know junior is currently going through a takeover for the game and has told me he will be making some changes, I just hope none are too drastic as I don't think much needs changing at all, the game just needs marketing a little better and needs some sort of customer service so it looks like somebody will actually listen and reply

One thing I'd maybe suggest is a couple more options when creating a competition I'd like to see the option to have a random draw instead of it drawn as teams enter. And to be able to create a competition with a format like a champions league or World Cup.

Thanks to Jason for taking the time to fill this out.

Good ideas for the areas where any changes should be focussed, Jason.  Especially the marketing.  I like the idea for competition formats, too.
