CRAZY - Friendly Table Challenge
« on: August 21, 2018, 08:37:01 PM »
Well hi guys/gals

Here's a VERY frustrated manager - I knew there's been a bug with the friendly table challenges for some years but this year it's totally crazy and ridiculous. I sent my first challenges on day 1 as always. By about day 3 or 4, I had 4 slots left but I had about 6 challenges left that I'd sent - I had 24 challenges refunded too!! Bloody ridiculous (sorry!) ... so sent another 4 a day or two ago and, just checking, 4 of those 6 have now been refunded as well! Even crazier and more frustrating considering so far I'm still undefeated - albeit 3rd as I've not scored many goals. So just sent 4 more challenges (getting harder each time obviously) so still have 6 outstanding challenges ... SO I need 4 of the following teams to accept the challenge ... come on what are you all afraid of? Chicken? lol

If any of you are still able to accept and are not yet full, please accept -

Fools United
Jellybellies
The Pompey Chimes
Subgenius
Tipton Tornadoes
The Huckley Way

Thanks guys. :)

Is your aim to win the Friendly league?

And thus you need all your Friendlies to be points matches?

I'm full I'm afraid. When your challenge/s comes through into my inbox I do accept but it has been refunded.

Thanks lads and yes of course Dave, if possible. I still have 4 to fill. Tipton already accepted one and thanks, Jimbo. I guessed people would be full now but appreciate you sending a challenge. The ones I still have remaining are

The Delhi Dilemma    gavham1
Exeter City F.C.    nath
The Flashhearts    bigdealdave
Oi Prasinoi    greek01
The Pompey Chimes    jimbo
FC Town of Luton    martinw63 - This one I'm reluctantly going to have to accept - because he's still in contention. :)
Tipton Tornadoes    peteroc
Attack Attack Consilidated    mobtrio

I suspect the rest are full too (?) It's about time Junior fixes this crazy and unfair situation considering people have to pay credits to play a full schedule but what do I know?

Anyway this will be it for me. If it doesn't fill by the time these are refunded, I'm just going to hope I loose a couple of matches before I hit those blanks. :P :D

I'd like to thank Mobtrio and Jimbo very much indeed for kindly accepting (being able to accept perhaps) ... so now just need 2 more. This is going to go the wire I'm sure. lol

The blanks could be easily filled?

And the first thought should surely be to fill the friendlies program, shouldn't it, given that friendlies are so important to training?

I know it's a long while since the Pigs did anything except just get all the friendlies in place (winning the league is an irrelevance for them and has been used to get players morale/gelling up when coming back from injury or suspension and friendly results are immaterial to the overall season)

But each to their own I suppose.

Thank for your input, Dave. If blanks can be easily filled, please tell me how. This has been one of the worst seasons for me trying to fill it - and of course it's my first thought. :)

I thank those who have helped me later in the day but with only 3 of us still undefeated, albeit I'm still 80 goals behind the leader currently, the thought of conceeding any chance I may have of coming first or second purely based on still having a single slot to fill, as I still currently find myself in, would be more than frustrating and angering. :(

I've now checked, double and triple checked and despite the likes of Peter (Beticos) kindly accepting 2 of my challenges in a few days plus a couple of others I've already thanked in this thread, my final 'say' in this matter (honestly!) is I'm trying once more. I have 5 outstanding challenges from ones I sent yesterday so *IF* in the unlikely chance any of you still have a place open for 1 more game, I'd be most grateful if you could kindly accept. :)

The Pompey Chimes    jimbo
CSI-Margate    johnnyreb
Rekrap Avengers    kyleparker27
THE COCKNEY REJECTS    waynetta
Wizards FC  wizard123

Thanks guys. What would I do without you. :)

Just trying to help. If you look through the leagues there are usually a few managers with lower league teams. Quite a few usually have a few friendlies lined up which means they will accept challenges.

The other thing I do when short of a friendly or two is to see who is logged-in. Different times of day sees different managers. It's currently 4.05 in the UK and there are five other teams logged in.  Four will be fully booked but the fifth have seven friendlies slots booked. They clearly accept challenges so (if you hadn't already spotted them) they play in C3, L2, D4, South.

Usually there are more during the night from the around the World.  You might not be able to watch through the night but their presence in the league tables is there all day?  And there is a German team at 48 in the Managers' table which has spaces left towards the end of the season?  Just thoughts of the sort that have left the Pigs never missing a friendly slot (and the training and now gelling that goes with it) :-)

PS Another team you could look at is 22 in the  Manager's tables (probably from north America although Snidey could be a play on Sydney) and has just a few friendlies booked.
