★FL1: SEASON 77★
TOP 3 LEAD THE WAY:
1. SUPER IMPS
2. CSI-WESTGATE ON SEA
3. KUSHBERRY FC
Impressive starts for the three teams mentioned as they begin the FL1 campaign unbeaten in three games. SUPER IMPS continue their dominance by adopting their usual position at the top, with their GD reading +6 partly thanks to the 1-0 victory over ANGEL RRRRS earlier today. CSI-WESTGATE ON SEA aren't too far behind with a 100% record. FL organiser Brian will be pleased with the start and also the comprehensive 3-0 victory earlier over MMRS PHOENIX PIGS, with his team dominating from start to finish. KUSHBERRY FC complete the top 3 after their 6-0 destruction of last years FL2 winners, GALATASARAY SK.
REST OF THE PACK:
PARK MY SEAGULL and ASTON VILLIANS continue their good starts and appear to be adjusting to FL1 just fine following the promotion from FL2. The Gulls dispatched ATEN WARRIORS earlier in a routine 2-0 win, and go into the 4th game of the season unbeaten with 7pts to show for their efforts. Despite letting the FL2 Championship slip between their fingers on the last day, Deca's Villa Boys move to 6th after defeating winless RATHPEACON 2 goals to 0. A 70th minute Evan Foullier strike was enough for FC TOWN OF LUTON to move into 9th, with HOARSE WHISPERERS being on the end of the 0-1 reverse meaning they slip to 5th. BLUE STAR KNIGHTS continue their charge into the top half with a slender 1-0 victory over basement boys FOOLS UNITED. One of the teams that were tipped to challenge for the title, JELLYBELLIES, were denied by a superb goalkeeping performance from UNIV.CRAOIVA's Lee Nover, who's inspired display meant The Romanians left with all 3 points. A first half penalty from Manuel Labor secured the 1-0 win. The visitors climb to 11th, while Jelly Bellys men drop to 8th.
