EDITION 9:
BHFL FC

USERNAME: JONUS_JONES
SUPPORTS: BOURNEMOUTH
CONFERENCE: 2-2-3
PREFERRED FORMATIONS: 3-2-2-3 / 4-4-2

TEAM PREVIEW:

We take a trip to the South of England to feature Steve Jones's BHFL FC. Effectively Melchester Rovers Reserves, BHFL FC have still gained some decent results this season notably a 2-1 victory over Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs in the League of Gelling competition. They are winning their respective conference at a canter with 2-1-1 a likely destination in the future. The Champions Shield run has been a particular highlight this season reaching Round 5 before bowing out to a disappointing 6-0 reverse to Super Imps.

MANAGER INSIGHT:

1. How many years have you spent playing SL?
I think I started playing SL when it was the Everton Server back in the, erm, late 90's or the early 2000s.

2. What's behind the team name BHFL FC
BHFL FC stands for Bournemouth Hayward Football League FC
I photograph the Saturday and Sunday Leagues in Bournemouth. But like SL here, the number of players ad teams are dropping. I also photograph Wimborne Town FC and Poole Town FC in the non-league.

www.bdfaimages.co.uk for football, or www.crabbycabby.co.uk, for everything else.

3. Have you any other teams on SL?
I also manage Melchester Rovers in 5-1-1 Named after the Roy Of The Rovers team from the '70s. Giving my age away there a bit :) Which I take more seriously than BHFL FC.

4. Biggest achievement on SL?
Biggest achievement? As the manager of Crabbycabbies won an SL t-shirt and a signed Everton team photo. Think I still have the photo, but the t-shirt has long perished.

5. One thing you would change about SL?
Changes? Interesting one.

As in the real world of Sunday League football, some teams do tend to struggle with AWOL players. Many top teams in the Bournemouth league do struggle on occasion to field a full squad. So I would like less AWOLS and the injuries times to be shortened. But as it applies to everyone on here it's not that much of a hardship.

I would like SL to freshen up a bit as it still looks the same as it did 20 years ago. Holy smokey, 20 years! And maybe the computer teams could have some random tactics thrown in just for fun.
