Is there anyone running this game anymore?

I'm just concerned at the reported lack of replies from Junior, Borg referred to this in the gold league thread and it has come up in other threads.


I need to buy credits and have needed to buy them for about a month now but I am reluctant to buy any if there is no one running the game. I am also worried about the credits being applied, (remember we had this problem before).

What are peoples thoughts on this? Am I right to be concerned? Has anyone else bought credits recently and if so, did you get them?

Is anyone concerned about the game's future? Has anyone spoken to Junior lately? I really like the game, this is not meant to be a negative thread, it's an honest effort to know what's going on.

I purchased some Credits at the start of the season to move my teams about. Payment went through perfectly fine and credits updated instantly.

Morning all, used to play SL back in the day and pretty much stopped around the time SL2 was released. Thought Id come and take another look and was pleased to see the SL1 is still running and from what I can see the old servers have seemed to have merged. However I have a few questions about the current situation of the game.

Logged on to SL2 and its really glitchy and none of the graphics load. Its slightly better on SL1 but there's a lot of broken links. The SL FB and Twitter handles look to be inactive for 2 years and it appears everything is stagnating.

The main sundayleague.com homepage flags up as insecure on my Google Chrome browser - am I safe entering my password?

Are the credits only available to purchase through PayPal? As my card has always been declined for this site and my bank have in the past offered no real reason why.

Welcome back, hopefully you stick around for a while. I don't play SL2 so can't really comment but all of the feedback on here is that the site is effectively dying. SL1 is still going strong, all x-1-1's are really competitive and the Friendly League consistently gets 5 divisions on 16 teams playing every afternoon.

Credits are now going through automatically, Junior does manage the game (loosely) and has just upgraded server 2 weekends ago. I'd feel pretty safe putting credits onto SL1.

Cheers bud and yeah have forgotten a bit. I think I will try and construct my team on the cheap and build a squad of young players. "You win nothing with kids" so Alan Hansen says, probably right mind. Just the 15 last night for you, was pleased it didn't go past 20.

I'd suggest the problem is not getting hold of the credits (which currently seems fine) but there has to be a worry (unaddressed?) that, at any moment, the game could collapse and never be seen again leaving any money spent on credits gone for good. That must put some off buying and, in reducing income for the owner(s), actually increase the risk of the game going bust?
