Hi guys - long time.
« on: September 28, 2018, 01:07:56 AM »
Hi everybody,

Some of you may remember me under my team name HaDoKeN F.C / Kushberry F.C ... used to be in 2-1-1 for quite a while.

I've had my team on holiday mode for a very very long time and today was the day I decided to log back in lol.

I still remember and see some managers that are still playing (Deca, Iwopp, Borg, Ty, stevenm etc.. To many to mention).. Hope your all doing well.

How is the game doing? Are there still problems with the match engine and we still getting roll overs? Thinking of possibly coming back but if the problems are still the same and exist, I don't want to be investing.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and kindest regards!

Morning and welcome back.

Pretty much have done a similar thing to you, been off SL for a while and have only just returned to the promised land. Regarding the ME, there's been a few questionable "AWOLS" and iffy results since I've been back, but I have to be honest and say there hasn't been anything too dodgy for me just yet.

Captain Kush,  :) :) :)

Remember you well as a great manager, would be brilliant to have you back,

The Current game is not perfect but still very playable, and very competitive, lot's of interest, and competitions to enter,

Best regards

Deca
Manager of Aston Villains & Cubana Villains

I am also trying this AGAIN as well, noticed 4-5-1 wingplay win against longball in rainy muddy conditions att vs CA as well, granted there was a difference in team quality but still..
Is this a thing now? or was it just a fluke?

It's all a bit more complicated than most new managers get straight away.  Which is part of the attraction for long-term players. And also involved in the frustration that happens at times.  ;)

Hi Capt,
I'm sure I used to caretaker for Kushberry when you were on your Holidays. Hope you get back into the game.

In terms of strategy has anything changed from previously?
i.e is it still common to use 5-2-3/4-3-3 for longball games. and would one still be penalised for playing a central striker instead of a left or right sided striker ?

Sorry to be a noob, just forgot some things lol. I'm looking at the strategy tips section but it's been a while since someone last posted there so things might have changed.

Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up buddy.
I've been looking through the strategy and questions discussions to re catch up and found some very useful and interesting points.
Would like to try and experiment on something new this time so I'm opting to focus on the 4-1-4-1 formation. I think this will also save credits when buying players which is something I am looking to do and don't want to spend thousands of credits on a single player at a regular basis. From previous experience I know attacking player position were cheaper than normal as less people opted to use attacking formations but this may have changed now...

I dont think you will have an issue with regards to players,

I've bought every player in my team with the exception of 1 with 500 creds. Transfer market isnt very active and alot of players have their teams already set with young players so they wont need to replace them for a while.
