FL3 OFF AND RUNNING AS TWO CONFERENCE 1-1-1 TEAMS LEAD THE WAY
With the Christmas period fast approaching, there will be one special present on top of the wishlist for many FL3 managers, the chance to secure one of the three elusive promotion spots for a chance to start 2019 in the second tier of the Sunday League's flagship competition. The FL3 has been cut from 16 down to 14 this time around, with the magic win total for promotion should lie at around 17 victories. 4 teams already have 3 of the wins, as Conference 1-1-1 representatives
WESTEROS XI
and
THE RED DRAGON
lead the way, closely followed by
WIZARDS
and
WHITE HART LANE
all locked together on 10pts. It's been a great start for Westeros XI and White Hart Lane, who remember have been plying their trade in the FL4 last year. Many argue Westeros XI wouldn't look out of place in FL1 and are many bookies favourites for the FL3 crown this campaign. Wizards play White Hart Lane this afternoon in pick of the FL3 ties for today.
CLAYTON
ROYALS
and
MAGIC DANCEMAT
have made both made solid starts, winning 2 out of their 4 games which mean they come in at 5th & 6th place respectively. With near identical records something will have to give today, as Clayton Royals make the tough trip to Cambridge where Magic Dancemat have yet to lose on their own patch.
CORINTHIAN CLOWNS
and
FREMINGTON
are 7th & 8th, with both sides meeting - and drawing - on the opening day of the season.
LIVER
WOOD
LUDDITES
and
THE
BLURRED
CRUSADE
join Fremington on 4pts. Liverwood, like Fremington, have had impressive league form in their respective conferences but aren't yet able to show the same winning mentality in FL3.
4 games in and the "unfortunate four" who are yet to secure a victory are
SURR
EAL MA
DRID
,
TEAM GEORGIA-MAYAJAY
,
BETTY SWOLLOCKS XI
and
THE TUMBLING SIXERS
. The latter being the proverbial whipping boys, having a stinking start to FL3 with 0pts and a GD of -15.

hey . Good to see a write up on FL3. Certainly on my Christmas wish list to finish top. Several very good managers here though. I'm hoping to get to FL2 while my team is at its strongest, then do a rebuild for 2 or 3 seasons before making a push for FL1, fingers crossed. I know what these FLs can be like though, from previous experience with DVG Stars, so no doubt a relegation is also a possibility if i get too high too soon.

Apologies to White Hart Lane today, because of my awful hangover I set up late at 2.55pm. I was running late in the morning yesterday too and annoyingly forgot about setting up against Clayton Royals. Luckily got away with just a 3-1 defeat!
