Thanks as ever for the updates Ag, much appreciated.

Thanks Chazz, much appreciated. It's great to get feedback. I feel the thread could be far livelier if Managers made comments about anything going on within the FL1 league. :P :-X 8)

It certainly would Ag  ;)

I won three of my first 22 games. I found myself 15th with 8 games to go. I just won my last four to move up to 12th with 4 games to go. Three of my last four games are against Aten, Ogres and West End so I have THREE relegation six pointers to look forward to  :D

For me, while I'm at the wrong end of the table, each day is great fun. I've moved from total despair only four days ago, (after 12 games without a win), to optimism now that I might survive my first season in FL1.

It's been a strange season for SL in general. The forum does seem to be slowly picking up but we've had such a number of managers leave that it's going to take a while for it to get back on it's feet.

Glad to see it look like you're staying up Cove, your input makes the thread much livelier.

On Day 27 The Super Imp's are crowned Champion's of FL1. With three matches to go The Imp's have an insurmountable 14 point lead. Well Done to The Imp's. Their fan's singing out late into the cold Lincolnshire night air "So we win again."

At the bottom end of the table Rathpeacon  were beaten 2-0 by Hoarse Whisperer's. Super Imp's beat Aten Warriors 1-0. Real Ale Madrid beat The Ogre's 3-0. West End Girls are hanging on by their badly chipped finger nails as they secure a much needed three points with a 0-1 victory over The Seg. 8)

With The Imp's crowned Champs. We turn to the relegation battle on Day 28 of the FL1 season. Rathpeacon recorded a season saving 1-0 victory over West End Girls. They will live to fight another season in the cauldron that is FL1. The West End Girls are relegated. Even with two wins from the last two games The Girls have a far inferior goal difference to Aten Warriors who can breath a sigh of relief as they are safe from relegation. The Ogre's are also on their way back to FL2. ;) 8)

Delighted to have a second season in fl1 to look forward to. A week ago, things looked very bad for me, five wins from my last six games has turned my season on its head

On Day 29 The Super Imp's are finishing in cruise control opening up a 15 point gap to The Seg in second place. After today's results West End Girls, Ogre's and Menagerie are all dropping down to FL2.

Agreed. Now if only we could work out how?  I have an idea.  But then I've had a few of those before and got nowhere  ;)

I shall therefore stick with paraphrasing the Del Boy philosophy --- This time next season (or maybe the season after  ???) I will the best in SL  :D.

I finished 12th in my first season in FL1. 9 wins, 10 draws and 11 defeats. That's not bad but then 6 of my 9 wins came in the last eight games so hopefully next season will be a little more consistent from the beginning.

Special thanks to Ag for the FL1 reports and to Brian for the wider FL reports and also for organising the competition. It wasn't easy trying to fill Steve's shoes but Brian did a great job
