FL 2. Season 74

Game 28 just two games left to play.  Leaders Blue Star Knights won 5-0 at The Rumour Mill and only need three more points to become Champions. Congratulations to second place Corinthian Casuals who gained promotion with a 5 - 0 win  against Liverwood Luddites.     Eintracht Fremfurt take over third place with a 4 - 0 win against third from bottom The Red Dragon.  Ogres are down to fourth after being held to a goalless draw at The KC Shuffle.  At the bottom Westeros XI lost 9-0 at Subgenius.  Next to bottom and two points from safety The Huckley Way won 14 - 0 against fourth from bottom  BUBBLES.

reports down at Blue Star Knights indicate there is a bit of nervousness amongst the players today after a rollicking from the manager for the lack of intensity in the Dragon game a few days ago. With 2 games to go and 1 win needed the Knights are keen to wrap it up in the penultimate game and then concentrate on who joins the Clowns and the Knights in FL1 next season.

Good luck Eintracht, Ogres and Kush (sorry Brian it seems a push too far for CSI at the moment).

the remaining games for the contenders:

Kushberry v. Bubbles

Rumor Mill v. Ogres
Fremfurt v. Benfica
Kushberry v. Westeros

from the looks of it, I think Kushberry will get 6 points and with GD anything less than 6 points for you Gull, and it will mean a spot outside the top 3. Ogres have two tricky ties against solid mid-table teams and so it will go to the last day and your game against Chico and his Benfica team. It's in your hands: 2 wins and 3rd is yours.

Just one game left to play and as usual in FL 2.  the rest of  the promotion/Relegation places will be decided on the last day.

Congratulations to Blue Star Knights who will be promoted as Champions of FL 2. after a 8-0 win at next to bottom The Huckley Way.  Second place    Corinthian Casuals lost 1-0 against SL Benfica. Eintracht Fremfurt   remain third with a 7 - 0 win against bottom team Westeros XI and need to win the last game against  SL Benfica to be sure of promotion.  Hot on their heels only two points behind are Kushberry F.C who won 17 - 0 against  fourth from bottom BUBBLES.  Tomorrow    Kushberry F.C play bottom team Westeros XI.  Third from bottom and just two points from safety The Red Dragon lost 2-0 at The KC Shuffle.

Depends what Benfica turn up today, let's hope it's the one that lost to Kushberry 0-4 recently...

Be nice to end the season on a high this afternoon, missed out on the 6-1-1 title by a couple of points, finalist & semi-finalist in the IC & Elite Cup competitions, let's hope I don't fall short in FL2, aswell!

So, all is now decided.  Kushberry F.C won 14 - 0 against relegated Westeros XI and snatch the final promotion place from Eintracht Fremfurt who were held to a 1 - 1 draw by SL Benfica.  Champions Blue Star Knights drew 1-1 at HH Beticos and second place Corinthian Casuals   won 1 - 0 against The Red Dragon which means that The Red Dragon are relegated along with The Huckley Way who lost 3-1 against CSI-Westgate on Sea.

Congratulations to the promoted sides:- Blue Star Knights, Corinthian Casuals and Kushberry F.C.
Condolences to the relegated sides:- Westeros XI, The Huckley Way and The Red Dragon.
