The Confirmed Signings Thread
« on: June 07, 2013, 09:36:08 PM »
Thought it was time we had a thread for confirmed signings again.

United have made their first signing, a 20 year old Uruguayan right back called Guillermo Varela from Atletico Penarol. Never heard of him lol.

A bit weird signing another right back when we have Rafael, Jones, Smalling and Valencia there in that position. We need a left back more than a right back. We've only got 3 of those in Evra, Butner and Fabio and Evra is past his best now. Weird.

When he needs to be, yes. He does pretty well there too.

Valencia's a right back in the same way that Welbeck's a striker.

You know you're having a quiet summer when you post about that in a "confirmed signings" thread.

Oh well, we've signed 7 players already...Jores Okore snubbed Chelsea in favour of Villa, good to see he knows his history on who the bigger clubs are  ;D

Well we've made one signing so far, Varela, who's supposed to be a hot prospect. Plus Zaha, but technically we signed him during the last transfer window. Going to be interesting to see what happens with the Roonster, we were favourites to sign Lewandowski so we could be adding another confirmed signing during the next few weeks.

Left Fulham because he wasn't guaranteed first team football....Well Mark I hate to tell you but you've just signed for a team whose No.1 is the best goalkeeper in the world. Good luck getting in the team ahead of him.

Thus far we has signed;

Javier Garrido from Lazio, we had him on loan last season.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon. ( Club shop should sell a few shirts me thinks ;))

Nathan Redmond from Birmingham.

Martin Olsson from Blackburn.

Carlo Nash on a freebie from Stoke.

Plus rumours of Leroy Fer signing from FC Twente.

So weve been quite busy, and i fancy a couple more strikers to arrive what with the departure of Holty to Wigan.

Still cant believe where we have come from in the last four years  ;D
