Yeah, I remember we had to do the same on CoD WaW, with the 2nd world war bouncing betties.

Is silencer necessary on hardcore?

I find it helps if people have turtle beaches. Otherwise they know exactly where you are just by hearing your gunshot.

I still take issue with the Bouncing Betties hugely in this game...The fact you can throw them is a joke, it basically makes them a dormant frag grenade...You should have to plant it, or at the very least reduce it's throwing range...I've seen killcams where someone has launched them miles and I've walked straight into them. They're ridiculous.

Put engineer perk on and they're easy to avoid.
Engineer and black hat is a great combo.

Aaaaaaargh!!! Why is time going so sloooooowly..?!!?!? :o

Friday can't come soon enough and I keep on reading more and more positive feedback of ZombiU. I'm really itching to give it a go! ;D

Playing the original Resident Evil game again reminds me of just how bad the hand holding is in games these days. If you guys haven't played the first two Resident Evil games before then get hold of a PS1 and give it a go.

ZombiU is bringing that sort of challenge and that sort of tension back to gaming. Even just one zombie is a threat - a swipe from one takes of around one fifth of your health and one single bite and you're brown bread lol. And they're more difficult to kill than Resident Evil zombies too - 3-6 blows to the head with a cricket bat or several headshots lol. Not too bad if there's only one zombie but if you get two it's a real handful and any more than that and the stress levels go into overdrive lol. Some have even said that it's the most stressful game they've ever played! :o 8)

I haven't ranked up high enough to unlock Engineer as of yet, but I'll bear that in mind.

Just on the subject of perks though, they've taken away the best perks from previous CoD games...I absolutely loved Recon and Marksman in MW3, and they've both just totally vanished...Same goes for Last Stand/Second Chance (Yes, I know alot of people absolutely hated it, and practically had it forced out of the game, but it's a much better perk than things like Toughness and Awareness which are just wasted perks and may aswell not even be there).

Bloody internet has been down for the past week now - it should be fixed today.. so had no xbox live action at all which has pretty much wasted that trial code I had (thanks virgin) - will try that internet explorer trick out when it does expire this week though...

Anyway, completed Halo 4 on legendary - currently replaying it for a 3rd time.. this time on coop (heroic).. after this - I might replay it one more time on coop (legendary) and put the campaign to bed.

... but without xbox live.. I thought I'd play something different (and since I've given Dishonored the cold shoulder for the time being)... I popped Dirt 3 back in the machine.. first impressions weren't great - felt too structured compared to Dirt 1 & Dirt 2... but now Im getting into it more and I like the Gymkhana bits to the game.. although I wish it was just a Rally game more than anything - still find that mode the most enjoyable.

Grrr, pissed off with virgin, still no internet access.. oh we have to send an engineer round because your cable modem isnt working - no shit sherlock - I told you this last week... "but you have to be in"... so basically when they were doing work last week, they've fucked something up.. after quite a bit of arguing and demanding to speak to a manager - I get £30 credit.. still doesnt help the fact I have no internet and now have to be in on a saturday morning to wait for an engineer - to be fair, I would of been in anyway, but thats besides the point.. I will be threatening to go to the ombudsman if its not fixed on saturday - that should get their arses moving.

...anyway so back on Dirt 3 last night.. I found a way to make the game more fun and challenging - switching to helmet cam !!  Makes it a bit more difficult but I like it, given the game a new leash of life (well a bit anyway) - I was finding it a bit boring.. Dirt 1 & Dirt 2 are the best if you fancy a cheap rally game.

No idea what's going on there, they should go the Microsoft route and kill off their current gen console before launching their next gen one. That's pretty much what they've done with the DS and the 3DS. I guess they must be even cheaper to make so they'll end up with more profit when they eventually sell.

Those of you worrying about your kids dropping the GamePad need to rest at ease. Dropped 4 feet onto concrete three times and it still works fine lol. If there's one thing you can say about Nintendo, they build their consoles to last :o

I don't think anyone here is worried about the durability of the u gamepad. You're the only bugger buying one.

Lol, it won't be as mental as the sales of the Wii was but it should sell well. It's a Nintendo console released with a 2D Mario title day one. The ZombiU bundle should sell well too...don't know why Ubisoft and Nintendo didn't do the same thing in the States and especially Japan too. The U sold 400,000 in its first week in the States and it's pretty difficult to pick on up over there at the moment.

Have got confirmation that my ZombiU bundle is going to be delivered tomorrow which has surpised me, I thought Zavvi were supposed to be a bit crap with deliveries...definitely wasn't expecting it a day early :o

My 888 Casino betting bank is up to £430 now, that's over a hundred quid profit today lol, and all for an initial deposit of £20 so that's covered my Wii U ZombiU bundle, Black Ops 2, Darksiders 2 and Rayman Legends purchases. Going to pay off a fair few quid off my credit card during these next few weeks and order FIFA 13, Arkham City, Scribblenaughts Unlimited, Assassin's Creed 3 and am thinking about getting Nintendo Land and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 too 8) ;D 8)

I always crap myself whenever updating my PS3 and 360. It's inexcusable for Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft not to have brick protection next gen >:(

It's just common sense not to turn off electronic equipment while it's performing a software update, tbh.
Would be nice to be given some indication of how long it'll take before you agree to it starting the process, though. Often you're only talking a few minutes (in fact I had a system update on the 360 last night - I think it took about 5 mins), but from time to time you'll get an update that'll take over half an hour - and before it starts you get no real indication that it'll be a longer one than usual.

Can understand the frustration at the U day1 update being several hours long. If there isn't a warning before you start telling you that it'll need to do it's own thing for a few hours then Nintendo have made a mistake. If there is a warning then the customers who bricked their machines are idiots.

That's probably why you're getting your console a day early, Harv. When you get it you'll start the update. By the time it's finished that it'll be launch day. ;)
