I would also add that when you played me first round I was a x-1-4 team, it could just be unlucky but then I did see Lucy Tigers (1) v Phoenix Pigs (2) second time in a row in the C3 cup which seemed highly unlikely so there may be something in it

It may very well just be sheer coincidence - I was just intrigued to see if other's had experienced the same thing. Thanks for replying Jason.

15 bids for a Centre Midfielder tonight, 16 years old with maxed out stats!  :o

I wonder how many of them bids are 10K...

Cracking player! Couldn't help but put a bid in... ;)

Whoever get's him has a magnificent player that will be a star for the next 10 seasons!

I was that guy and the 23rd bidder around Midnight. I wonder how many it got to...

I don't think it's coincidence. My 3rd team Mariners Park got in the Champions Shield the last 3 season, and played an x-1-1 team before the 3rd round in every season. It seems like you'll get an easier route in the Champions Shield, the lower you are in the leagues.

Of course this is likely  ;)

You do know the reason why they were paired together don’t you??

Because Mmm Pigs entered 9th and Lucy’s Tigers entered 10th.

You play whoever you enter next to or enters next to you.

Learn something new every day! Surely that's a bit of a flaw in the comp set up though? :/

No Idea.
It's been like that as far as I can remember?

Whoever enters 2nd in the Beer Garden Cup 3 will be your opponent.

That's why its worth keeping tabs on who is entering the Gold Cups and when.

Guys, what are your opinions on the 3-5-2 formation? I've noticed that it is rarely used these days. I have given 2-5-3 a go the last 2 seasons and I think it served me quite well. But I think I'm ready to step things up a notch and try a new one. 4-5-1 seems to be the default formation of choice these days, but I have two quality strikers (R) and (L) that I feel would be a huge waste not to utilise. And my defence aren't the strongest bunch (yet). My 5 default midfielders are my babies! Confused about how to proceed with things. Formation choices have always stumped me.

It used to be a popular choice back in the day, but I'm guessing it has become less popular choice because it wasn't as effective as they thought?

Don't do it. Either stick with 2-5-3 or commit to building a team for 4-5-1.

I've done it before and it's a nightmare. 3-4-3 is also terrible.
