Congrats last night Nijinsky, makes the title race just that bit closer, especially with Mihai and Globus drawing, it means it was a good night for Cove!!!

Unfortunately I fear even with 3 points in it that that’s my season over. Both my left sided midfielders have picked up 12 week injuries in the last couple of evenings, and my left back is also crocked for 6 weeks! My left hand side is buggered.

Three long term injuries in the last two league games and I go away tomorrow !

Ouch! Weird that our game caused so many injuries. We both played it by the book in terms of referee, conditions etc. Think with Globus in a transitional season too, our UCB hopes are probably over after Day 1 this time round.

Picked up another long term injury, and got a suspension on top to boot last night. Looks like I'm going to need propping up again in todays UCB games. Sorry lads!

The champions are through to round two after a straight forward win.

sMAshEd   2 - 0    Lucys Wanderers   
Two second half goals were enough for sMAshEd to go through.

Great Yarmouth Town   2 - 0    Parma Violets   
Two of the 3-1-1 title contenders met here and didnt disappoint. Yarmouth scored twice to go through. 

Wizards   5 - 0    Black Star Knights   
Routine win for Wizards who jusityf their favourites tag after this clinical win.

CSI-Ramsgate   4 - 0    A.C.Upstreet   
Good start to their cup campaign for CSI. Can this be their year?

Saiyan Warriors   2 - 1    Sandford St Martin   
Great cup tie here, level at full time. Saiyan got the winner in extra time.

SatinStorm   2 - 3    Hoarse Whisperers   
What a cup tie!!! Hoarse took the lead twice but Satinstorm pegged them back twice, second time in injury time to take the tie to extra time. Hoarse held out and go into round two.

Easy win for Kilcully over the filler team.

The champions travel defence see them travel to lower league Kilcully. They should have no problems coming through this one. 

Wizards   vs    CSI-Ramsgate   
Cup specialists Wizards host a CSI team looking to win their first cup title. Just one place seperates these two in the league. Extra time could be needed here.

sMAshEd   vs    Great Yarmouth Town
3-1-2 leaders sMAshEd host Yarmouth, currently joint leaders of 3-1-1. sMAshEd have caused a few surprises since they first entered the cup, could they pull off one more today?


Hoarse Whisperers   vs    Saiyan Warriors   
C3 kingpins and joint leaders of 3-1-1Hoarse host Saiyan in an intriguing tie. Hoarse will be strong favourites but Saiyan can never be written off. This one could be closer than expected.

Routine win here for Rathpeacon who will face much sterner tests in the next round.

Great win here for CSI who levelled late on to take the tie to extra time before a 91st minute put them through.

sMAshEd   0-1    Great Yarmouth Town
Just to one goal needed in this one in what was a very tense tie through out. Yarmouth ar 90 minutes away from the final.

Double chasing Hoarse were too strong for Saiyan in this one.

Some interesting results last night. Looks like the champions have one hand on the title, two potentially difficult games for them to go though.....

Yup, not relishing those two games! In my hands though, and that's all you can ask with two games to go when its this tight.

Mihai - you must set up your team sooooo late! I didn't want to set my tactics until after you had done yours, and in the end gave up waiting at about midnight haha.

The league will have to wait, I've got a biggie against those pesky Imps in the CS tonight . . . gulp.
