So....

The biggest Friendly League in a generation (80 teams) starts on Friday and quite simply it's all up for grabs. Checking through the leagues there are no stand out teams who are going to run away with their division.

Hopefully you all got your invites to Stadio El Drogio for the presentation of FL61 this afternoon. It's a smart casual affair. Drinks in moderation of course, don't want anyone going crazy and bidding 10k on a defender  ;).

In all seriousness thank you to all teams taking part, everyone of you makes this competition the success it is. Good Luck to you all. Let it be you who becomes the legend and your dreams come true.

Please note that top 3 get promoted and the bottom 3 get relegated from all divisions this season.

Really intrigued into seeing the results for FL5 today, with so many new teams this league is the one where any of you can take the glory. Good luck. Looking forward to 3.30pm.

Still yet to beat you in a cup competition Dave, although the games tend to be competitive. You too mate.

Steven, do we have enough entries now to consider making two cup competitions? Just a thought for next season, have the FL Cup for 32 sides and the FL Shield? Gives teams in FL3/4/5 the chance to win a KO cup, but just an idea.

Looking forward to starting this, I see a few people have me in the promotion places hopefully you are all right, however I still think my team might be too new.

Thats an interesting concept Chaz. 13 out of 32 teams are from FL3 FL4 and FL5 in this season comp. So are you suggesting that we have a 16 team cup for FL1 and 2. And a 16 team cup for FL3,4 and 5 or a 32 team comp for everyone with an extra 16 team comp for FL3,4 and 5.

@herbie you got previous experience and most other team are unknown quantities.

Just a thought as I know that it did run previously with some success. You run the FL Cup much like the FA Cup, either keeping it 16 (32 if there's demand) and allow FL1/FL2 to enter first. If there are gaps then the positions can be filled by teams from FL3/FL4/FL5 if required.

In the meantime, you arrange an FL Shield for 16 (again 32 if there's demand) for FL3/FL4/FL5 which gives newer teams a chance to actually get to experience winning KO cup games. Just a potential idea that we could sound off for upcoming seasons.
