Another draw for me keeps me deep in relegation trouble, Glanford have two wins in a row so now there are four of us fighting to stay up. Ten games to go, good luck all

The top of the FL4 table match that nobody was waiting for, except the teams involved, Shakhtar took on Harricam. The game ended honours even at 1-1. Shakhtars Ann Marie, got the (Wo)Man of the match award. She grabbed their goal and bossed the midfield. Ag knew Harricam could have done with the win. He nearly launched into his "We will fight them on the beaches" speech. He thought better of it and hummed "Stayin' Alive." No Travolta walk was evident. Rathpeacon are starting to collect some points. Today they drew with the third placed Cricketers, and the other day they drew with the top team. The Peacon fans are becoming very vocal at games urging the team on. Watch this space.

The local rivals The Aguias and Das Quinas fought out a thriller of a game in which Figo grabbed the winner in the 74th minute. Das Quinas. remain in fourth but are only one point off the coveted promotion spots. England went away to Yorkie's Strollers and came away 0-3 winners. That was a Bernard Matthews game for us crowed the England Manager, "Bootiful."

Totton Saints took on the mighty Stow Wanderers. Stow ran the game with bags of possession but could not make it count. It finished 1-1. It was a game of blink and you'll miss a goal as Rebel Rovers were taken apart 0-7 by The Rhubarb Triangle.

The Negative Amigo's dominated their game against Standard Liege. But Standard brought home the bacon with a 0-1 win. Glanford suffered a 0-1 home defeat to Corkscrew. ;) 8)

Positional wise the table has remained virtually the same as yesterday. Shakhtar are still four points clear at the top of FL4. Harricam remain in second place one point ahead of The Cricketers occupying third place. Das Quinas remain in fourth but have lost ground today having been defeated.

The only change in the the table is that The Aguias move up into sixth place and Stow Wanderers fall into seventh place. Then their are four teams between 37 and 29 points. Then there are five teams that are in the relegation mix, from Yorkie's Strollers on 17 points to Glanford Park on eight points.

There are eight games to go in FL4. That, in theory, means each team has the potential of an eight game winning streak to add the 24 points to their current total. ;) 8)

My fourth draw in the last six games, two defeats in the other two games. It's been a very frustrating season, eight games to turn it around   :(

Ag, lovin your in depth analysis this season as well as your quips. Thanks for playing a part in making The Friendly League the best private league on Sundayleague. Hopefully others will forgive me when I say 'Bring the Title Home'

A club spokes person from the Harricam Press Office issued the following Statement:
Ag, the first team squad and the back room staff, not discounting the boot boys, all remain focussed on doing their best for the club in FL4. Now is not the time to discuss the future. As always we are working on a match by match basis to try and overcome our rivals. We shall now turn to hymn number 654: Fight the Good Fight. ;) 8) Message End's.

Never mind the club spokes person. What would be great is if Team's like Shakhtar, Das Quinas, England, Stow Wanderer's, The Aguias, Standard Liege etc etc made a comment or three in our Forum thread. Maybe about a game your Team won, or lost or about another issue.  ;) 8)

Not sure why more people don't speak in the forum. I haven;t won in 11 games, six draws and five losses in that time but despite the frustration, I still comment occasionally.

Glanford Park, still anchored at the bottom of FL4 lost at home 0-1 to The Rhubarb Triangle. Rebel Rovers went down 0-4 at home to England. The Rebel's Manager was trying to blame the dog that run's onto the pitch for grabbing a hatrick against his team. But nobody was buying it.... not even the dog.

The Cricketers destroyed Totton Saints 0-5. The Cricketers maintain their non losing streak and a valued promotion place. Das Quinas grabbed the goals that mattered in a 0-2 away win at Rathpeacon. The Rath Manager commented "We didn't really get into the game until the hour mark. By then it was to late and they just put the shutters up.

Standard Liege beat Yorkie's Strollers 0-4. The party on the coach home was anything but standard. The Aguias took the victory in their stride as they out shone Corkscrew in both halves in a 2-0 win

It was 0-0 at half time as The Negative Amigo's took on Harricam at home. Cuban Pete broke the deadlock in the 50th minute with Harricam eventually running out 0-2 winners . The Harricam travelling fans sang "Cuban Pete with those flashing feet, he's the king of the Rhumba beat, when he plays the ball he goes chick chicky boom, chick chicky boom." Shahktar maintain their unbeaten win with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Stow Wanderers. That's another step in the right direction said Shakhtar's assistant Manager. On this evidence who can disagree with him. ;) 8)

Today's table is almost the same mirror image of the FL4 table three days ago. The top four teams all won, leaving the top three at least four points clear of the challenging Das Quinas in fourth. The only positional change is that Stow Wanderers and The Rhubarb Triangle swop places. Stow move up into seventh and The Rhubarb Triangle move down into eighth place.

The bottom half of the table remains positionally the same. There is still the possibility of three from the bottom five teams being relegated. However I think Didier Steve Drogba, the Gaffer, indicated that it will be two teams to be relegated from FL4.

There are six games to go in FL4. A maximum of eighteen points are on offer to each team. Match of the Day tomorrow, is Top of The Table Shakhtar Senseless v The Cricketers in third. Reports just coming in are that both Teams are meeting up at a local nightclub for a dance off. Then its a compulsory kebab so everyone feels the same as each other, and they kick off tomorrow on an even platform. ;) 8)

Shakhtar V The Cricketers had been billed as The Match of the Day. If Shakhtar were the victors they were in effect The Champions Elect. With only five games to go all they have to do is keep their heads and win it. If the Cricketers were the winners they would be two points off the summit of FL4. Shakhtar took the game by a single goal scored in the 30th minute and held their nerve and the lead. The Cricketers remain in third eight points off top place and now four points behind the second team. Harricam, in second, were away at Yorkie's Strollers. Harricam ran out 0-6 winners. Ag was pleased with the team and said to them, in the centre circle, "We need more displays like this."

Das Quinas beat Totton Saints 1-3. Das remain in fourth place but have moved within one point of The Cricketers. Das have been in this position previously but can they make it count this time? England went away to Glanford and recorded a 0-3 win.

The Aguias took on The Rhubarb Triangle and were tactically spot on taking the game 3-0. The Negative Amigo's saw off Stow Wanderers 2-0. Rebel Rovers went down 0-3 to Standard Liege. Corkscrew just snuk the 0-1 win V Rathpeacon. ;) 8)

It was party time for Shakhtar Senseless today. PART..why? Only nine of The Yorkie's Strollers team turned up today and did Shakhtar make them pay. They took Yorkie's apart 13-0. Best win of the season and good shooting practice. Harricam remain in second after a 0-2 victory over England. The game was evenly matched until Cuban Pete turned on that Rhumba beat.

Das Quinas moved into the third place in the table after giving The Rhubarb Triangle a jolly good thrashing. Das ran away with it 0-4. Corkscrew entertained The Cricketers and the game ended 1-1. The Cricketers went one up in the 18th minute but conceded late on. They just could not produce the winner.

Totton Saints went down 0-3 after The Aguias took them apart piece by piece. Standard Liege were 1-0 up at half time V Stow Wanderers. The crowd were singing and the banners were waving. However Stow came out of the traps in the second half to produce a dazzling display to take the game 1-2.

The Negative Amigo's beat Rebel Rovers 2-1 to send Rovers to the bottom of the table on goal difference. Glanford Park went away to Rathpeacon and stole the game 0-1 after Rath had a player red carded. 8)
