TCL 132 - FINAL RESULT - WEDNESDAY 13TH JUNEArsenal Invincibles 1 v 0 The Flashhearts
Arsenal Invincibles win 3rd straight TCL Title with 1-0 thrashing of BDD's FlashheartsThe day started in the worst possible way for The Flashhearts with 2 players who looked like they were going to make the starting 11 suddenly going AWOL.
Kenny Loggins (Mid) had a late Sky Installation booked which he forgot about and couldn't make the game. He was so made up with his new Sky package and to make matters worse he invited Naruto Uzumaki (Str) round to his to watch an Eastenders Omnibus with him. That threw the pre match preperations into turmoil with BDD having to make a few late changes especially with 2 of his starting 11 already out injured.
The home side on the other hand came into the game with one injury concern and on the back of losing the C6 title late in the day after a tough run in and a poor finish. Mr Cobra has had a good recent record against BDD who was looking for revenge after his sides ICC defeat to Ocean City Orioles in the final last week.
This really was anyone's game...
However...
Arsenal Invincibles produced a tactical masterclass for the first 60mins of the game, matching The Flashhearts stride for stride. Silvan Wiltord's header in the 20th min won the cup for the home side. Silvan was chucked into the starting lineup last minute by Cobra due to the injury of first choice centre forward Dennis Bergkamp last night. With competition for places in the invincibles team that winning goal won't do his cause any harm! The 1-0 scoreline really flattered the away side and they should've lost by a couple more goals, the strength of The Flashhearts squad kept the score down today not the tactics!
That being said whether you count The Champions League as a competition that is "Recognised" kind of like the Gold Leagues or it's just a load of S*** t I must say I am personally very very pleased with today's win and to be able to win this 3 times on the trot!!
Who wants to try and stop me winning a 4th?!?Thanks for your participation.
Messages will be sent out soon for TCL 133.
