There is a lot to be learned from this format, I think.  Although its defensive tactics only  you can play a formation with more attackers to overwhelm the opposition defence. This might be easier to do if you have a strong defence so you think you can get by with just 3 or 4 of them, instead of 5.  I don't know if it will work though. Might be best to stick with the best formation for the ball movement chosen depending on the weather. I m guessing packed defences, combined with defensive tactics will lead to 0-0 results which could be useful when playing a stronger team...but what do you do if you are the stronger team and weaker teams do this against you?

Sadly I think I'll be the whipping boys in this league as it will ultimately boil down to player quality. Played a friendly against Justice League yesterday, they had an AWOL player and I conceded when we were both playing C.ATT - what could go wrong in this?

going by those stats Gull i haven't got a dog's chance of finishing in the top half.Should be an interesting battle for top spot.Can Menagerie finish undefeated.

I won quite well today but my opponent changed his tactics from Defensive to Counter Attack,
Not a problem with me being defensive though

Hi. I'm just posting, as advised, to say I just missed out on the defence only comp but interested in the Counter Attack Only one that *might* be coming up when this one finishes - so a little dickie bird told me. (y)

I know that we are only three games in, but I am finding it interesting so far. My games have so far been wins, but barely wins... and I mean with the odd goal in the final 20-30 minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if I finished the league with a shed load of 0-0 draws.

My team is definitely finding it more challenging that the previous attacking league. Less goals, anyway. I am particularly interested in what my scores will be against Jellybellies, Westeros XI, and King Kenny's Army.

Played some C?a and A  against King Kenny's Army.  At least I had the wrong boots on and lost the game.  No credits for me, then.
