Tomorrow the Super Imps are at home to 6th place Hoarse Whisperers who will be looking to take something away from this fixture. At the bottom, relegated Fools United held The Huckley Way to a 1-1 draw. A good result for Fools but Huckley will be disappointed not to have taken all 3 points today. The KC shuffle lost 1-0 at home to Arsenals Invincibles which confirmed their relegation to FL2 next season. The Huckley Way are 3 points clear from safety and know if they can win at least one of their two remaining games that they have a chance of staying up! Super Imps are on course for the FL1 title after a comprehensive 2-0 home victory over Hoarse Whisperers. Rich has a slender 1 point lead over The Seg who narrowly beat The Huckley Way 1-0 away from home to keep the pressure on. Tomorrow is the final day of the season and Super Imps take on Menagerie while The Seg are away to the relegated KC Shuffle.

The relegation battle is also going to the wire as The Huckley Way could stay up if they beat Arsenals Invincibles. However, results would need to go Huckley's way with King Kennys Army and Jellybellies still very much in danger of going down!

MASSIVE MASSIVE DAY today. All five of the top five change places today! Fullerians drew with 4th placed Corinthian Clowns, a result of little use to either. Steaua beat the Magic Dancemat 3-0 to take the lead. Steaua have 66 points and Fullerians have 65.

In the race for the last promotion place, Rathpeacon drew with Clayton Royals 1-1. With Rathpeacon and Corinthian Clowns dropping points, Beticos are now third after a great 5-2 win over Surreal Madrid. Beticos have 57 points while Corinthian Clowns and Rathpeacon have 56.

At the bottom Blurred Crusade are down. Betty Swollocks must do better than Georgia Mayjay tomorrow if they are to stay in FL3 for next season.

I have to say that I am really sick today. Drew to an 87th minute equaliser. I play SLB tomorrow. Chances are that I would have been promoted tomorrow if I had won today. Looks like I will finished 4th in FL3 for the 5th time

SL is SL.  Top of C3, but I knew I would lose last night because the match engine likes to tighten things up near the tops of different things towards the end of a season (I've usually found). Not enough to knock me off the top but enough to keep things interesting.  Then later, lo and behold, I cop some rather ripe language from my dear wife who had had the same thing happen to her.  So I told her she should know by now (and was still top of C8) but her response involved quite a few *&%$£s and !%"£^&*s etc.  and, to be fair, as wives go, she's fairly even-tempered in most respects  .  Very often a balance is restored within a few games with challenging teams copping a hard-to-explain loss.  I haven't checked with the other conferences but I've seen similar elsewhere over the years.  No promises but don't expect the competition to necessarily walk their way through their matches.

Westeros XI can clinch the FL4 title with a win in the penultimate game tomorrow, as the long season draws to a close. Fremington & White Hart Lane are guaranteed promotion.

Kept an eye on the FL3 earlier - unlucky Cove, sad to miss out so late on in the season. Hopefully you'll keep up the matchday reports that I'll now be a part of!

Well, it's all over now and after thirty games Stueaua Sudului are the champions!!!

Congratulations to Steaua who beat Surreal Madrid 2-0 today. Also congratulations to pre-season favourites Fullerians who finish second, just one point back. Today's victims were Georgia Mayjay.

Completing the promotion spots are Beticos who beat Betty Swollocks 2-0 to pip my Rathpeacon by one point. Rathpeacon finished fourth for the fifth time in FL3.


At the bottom, SLB, Betty Swollocks and Blurred Crusade are relegated to FL4 for next season.

Congratulations Rich on winning the FL1 title with your Super Imps! Well played Chaazz who manages The Seg who finished as FL1 runners up, narrowly missing out on the title by 1 point - I honestly thought this title was going to be yours! Great work Bill who manages Realale Madrid who finished in 3rd spot.

Only one change in the league positions today and it was a critical one down the bottom! The Huckley Way won to leapfrog King Kennys Army who have now been relegated to FL2 along with The KC shuffle and Fools United. Well done huckers for surviving by the skin of your teeth (goal difference). With the three relegated teams I am sure they will be looking to bounce straight back into FL1 asap.

A massive thank you to all managers for making FL1 fantastic! Great battles at the top and bottom all season long! Now it's time to have a well earnt break from FL until Season 72 kicks off!

Thanks guys and yes that was a close one. Unlucky Chaz you pushed me all the way and we've got a similar battle in the Champion of Champions. Always nice to win this one - a true battle of the best!
