Gold Cup turned to Silver

Last season I won the pre-season Gold number 2 and a Gold Cup appeared in my history.  Ive just noticed it has turned to silver.  Is this to do with the setting up of the current pre-season golds and does it mean they are no longer gold cups ? Does this change the training benefits for this season? Or is there a different explanation entirely?

This is probably down to the fact that Username Borg didn't set up the league, I believe Username nath set it up and although it was a Gold Competition, the server probably only recognises Gold Competitions set up by Borg for history purposes to be Gold in team history

Thanks for the explanation Steve.  And just to aid understanding , last seasons's cup appeared in my history as  a gold cup and has now changed to a silver cup,  so i guess if a different username sets up the competition it doesn't just affect that seasons competition but also all previous seasons cups in that competition.  Not a big deal but worth knowing, maybe.

Does this change the training benefits for this season?

As I understand it, there's only one set of lunchtime training benefits per day (I stand to be corrected) so today that would have gone to everyone who played a Friendly (or, if they had no Friendly but played a Gold league match).  The same will apply for tomorrow. From Saturday, training benefits will go with Gold league matches and will remain that way until Friendlies kick in at the start of next season although anyone without Friendlies booked will continue to get Gold league training benefits until that is over (or they start playing Friendlies). 

I'm not sure about Gelling.  Saturday, I will be checking my players to find out about training and gelling.

We need the Borg to comment as this is the second time pre season Gold League's have not been set up exclusively by himself. It's been the Borg's second team for two season's running. Then one of Cobra's teams, plus Steve's Drog's this time out. So if you won a Gold League under Cobra or Nath you may have a Silver award. I suspect under Steve's management it will remain a gold award

there’s a restart issue on them.

Original Gold 1 is fine.
2 would probably be your less desirable league if you’re looking for a Gold cup on your history page as the game will change it to a silver cup.
3 if Steve’s willing to restart it every season will remain Gold.

All have training included with them. I can see that.


Hopefully in the future if the takeover does progress. Kush can sort out the system automatically restarting competitions. Like the original SL had when it was just World, Super and Beer.
