FL1 Season 72

It was the night before Christmas, sorry, wrong story. It was the night before the big KO. Will the FL1 title be in the trophy cabinet of one of the fairly regular winners or can an unfancied team raise their game to break the mould. Please feel free to jump in with your comments, accounts or downright opinion's. Prediction's please. Ag is looking forward to standing on an FL1 touchline once more, surrounded by his dedicated coaching staff, with a delivery driver waiting for half time order's if needed. ;) 8)

A Typical first day of a new competition where seven teams won and there was one drawn game. The Piggies lead the way with a 0-2 away win at Aten Warriors. Following closely on their heels are The Seg with a commanding 0-2 away win against The Shuffle. Steve's Drog's sniff the rarefied air of a promotion place with a 1-0 home win against one of the tips for the top, The Pompey Chimes. Angel Rrrr's grab a fantastic 0-1 away win at Deca's Villains.

West End Girls got off to a good start. Breaking the mould of their regular defeat's by Jellybellies, the Girls 0-1 away win left the home crowd frustrated. FC. Town of Luton saw off The Huckley Way in a 1-0 home win. Super Imp's campaign started with a hard fought 0-1 away win at Nij's Whisperer's. The lone drawn game saw Menagerie and Real Ale Madrid share the points in a 1-1 draw. 8)

On Day 2 at the OK Coral only two teams have maximum points. Angel Rrrr's lead the way with a valuable 1-0 home win over FC Town of Luton. Super Imp's move into second place after a stunning  first half winning goal from Phil yer Boots. Steve's Drog's felt hard done by that they could not beg borrow or steal an equaliser. Moving menacingly into third place are the current 811 leaders, Real Ale Madrid. They beat bottom of the table KC. Shuffle 3-0. Menagerie get their first win under the belt as they beat The Huckley Way 1-0. Menagerie move into fourth. The Shuffle and The Huckley way both have no points.

After yesterday's defeat Hoarse Whisperer's flew out of the stable doors today hoping to make amends. They came away from Mmmr's Phoenix Pig's with a resounding 1-3 victory. The Warriors from Aten saw off The Seg 1-0. West End Girls tried to take the game to Aston Villains but came away pointless after losing 1-0. The one drawn game today was a 1-1 draw between The Pompey Chimes and The Jellybellies. 8)

Day 3 finds two teams securely anchored to the floor of FL1. At the bottom of the league are the KC. Shuffle with no points. Today The Shuffle faced the might of The Hoarse Whisperer's. The Shuffle lost 1-5 and were booed off the park. The Huckley Way, also have no points. They went away to West End Girls and came away silently onto their coach after a 2-0 defeat. The Jellybellies have lost one, drawn two and find themselves in the third relegation spot. Today they shared the points with FC. Town of Luton in a 1-1 draw. Aten Warrior's seemingly got played off the pitch as they were thrashed 5-0 by Menagerie, who move up into second in the league.

After an early appearance in the promotion places, The Drog's now find that they are in the wrong half of the table. Deca's Villians handed out a football masterclass after seeing off The Drog's 1-4. The Seg were beaten 0-1 by the only team to win their opening  three games. That's Super Imp's. The Imp's are now top of the league and have put down a marker in the sand daring other's to up their game. The Pompey Chimes beat Angel Rrrr's 2-1. Real Ale Madrid saw The Piggies off 1-0. and remain third in the table. ;) 8)

Day 4 finds Real Ale Madrid as the new leaders of FL1. They beat The Huckley Way 1-0 with a first half goal from their young Striker Anderson. The Huckley way Manager felt totally aggrieved that they did not get anything from the game. At the press conference he thundered "We dominated large swathes of the game." Dropping into second place are Super Imps, after the first 0-0 draw of the season. The Pompey Chimes were The Imps opponents today. The score reflected a hard fought fairly even game. Up into third place are Hoarse Whisperer's who beat The Drogs 0-2. Now one point off the FL1 summit. Angel Rrrr's move up into fourth place after defeating West End Girls 1-0.

Menagerie and FC. Town of Luton share the points in a 1-1 draw. Jellybellies record thier first win taking all the points in a 1-2 away win at Aston Villains. Mmmr'r Phoenix Pigs took the game to The Seg and recorded a resounding 3-0 victory. Chaz just shook his head. Aten Warriors beat The Shuffle at a 3-0 canter. The Shuffle remain bottom of FL1. 8)

Day 5 and FL1 has had five different leaders so far. Today Menagerie secured top spot after beating The Piggies 1-0. It was a very closely fought game with Menagerie securing all the points with a second half strike. Super Imps remain in second place. Today The Imps took on bottom of the table KC. Shuffle. It finished 1-1. The Shuffle gained their first point of the campaign and moved off the bottom of the table. Nij's Whisperer's drew 0-0 away at The Seg and they remain in the top three. Yesterday's leader, Real Ale Madrid slipped down to fourth as those Aten Warriors ripped them apart 0-3. The Warriors sent out smoke signals to the rest of FL1, "Beware ???."

It was The Drog's V The Angel Rrrr's. They shared the spoils after a 0-0 draw. Although The Angel Rrrr's are now down in fifth, they remain one point off the summit. West End Girls have moved up to sixth after beating FC. Town of Luton 1-0. Ag was quoted as saying, "We need to get a little bit more consistent. We know how but sometimes we forget when we are on the pitch. We seem to get a touch of green amnesia." Jellybellies begin to hit their stride as they beat The Huckley Way 2-0. The Jelly's make their first appearance in the top half of the table. The Pompey Chimes and The Villains drew 1-1. 8)

Day 6 and the leadership of FL1 has changed again. Super Imp's top the league, again, as they take all three points in a 0-2 win away at Deca's Villains. Real Ale Madrid move up two places into second with a stunning 4-1 home win. They put FC. Town of Luton to the sword. Moving into third place are West End Girls. They beat yesterday's league leader's, Menagerie, 0-1. Iwopp's Jellybellie's are like Alpine Mountain climber's. They are slowly but steadily making their way up the table. Today The Jellie's secured a 1-2 away win at Angel Rrrr's.

The Pompey Chimes flexed their football muscles today to beat The Hoarse Whisperer's 2-0. Mmmr's Piggies beat The KC. Shuffle 2-1 and have forced their way back into the top half of the table. The Huckley Way got their first campaign points today as they beat Aten Warrior's 0-1. They also moved off the foot of the table. The Drog's and The Seg shared a 0-0 draw. Honour's even. :) :P 8)
