Nightly login problems

I don't know if this is something other managers are experiencing or just me but I usually try to log in for the 3am games around midnight to 1am, before I go to bed but for several days, don't remember exactly when, I keep getting this error message. Sometimes after a short wait, logging in via sundayleague.com works. This morning I couldn't and ended up losing. It's hard enough as it is trying to suvive, never mind doing well, in 2-1-1 but just for the record, here's the error message I keep getting ...

Resource Limit Is Reached
The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later.

I can't believe it's only me being affected so is anything happening to try to rectify this?!

I get that sometimes. I close the window and re-load and it normally works, frustrating though.

Thanks Cove,. Yes tried refreshing/reloading but that doesn't seem to do it for me so as I said, waiting a while then logging in via sundayleague.com seems to work, only I was so tired that morning, I gave up and went to bed.

And yes, very frustrating. Mind you, tried just now, just after 2am, and it worked fine. Hmmm maybe something's happening earlier I/we don't know about?

That happened to me the other night.  I had the same problem with the forum.  I informed Junior but after about twenty minutes I managed to get logged on to both.

How about this? Last night (or for last night's games) I logged in and did my teams, no probs. Then Lynne (Angel Rrrrs and also my wife) tried to log-in and couldn't. So she commandeered my lap-top and used that, getting in straight away. Going back to her IPad and trying again from there, she still couldn't get in.  She then left her Ipad and tried her lap-top (again with no luck) but on going back to mine she again got straight in.  We both use Firefox and AVG (on the lap-tops) and were sitting in the same room. So ? 

Maybe the answer is to set up (or try to) early in the day and make allowances in the ATs. But that's just addressing symptoms and not the cause.

Honestly i don't know why i still bother to come on here, an issue which prevents people from logging in to play the game has been reported a long time ago, and nothing has been done about it. I lost my game because i couldn't log on to set up for my game. I set up for my afternoon games at work so i try to spend as little time as possible doing so and leave the night games till i get home, and i tried to log in several times between a 2 hour period last night and had no luck and eventually fell asleep without being able to set up. probably cost me the league as well losing that game. so a whole seasons effort has gone to waste.... really feel hard done by this..

ihsansaka, I can honestly say I have never, ever had anywhere near the trouble you've been having?  So (with reference to my earlier post) maybe it's a hardware or software thing (or both) at your end?  What do you use (or mostly use)?

If i log in straight away when i get home I've never had any trouble, it's always been a problem when i try to log in very late (after midnight). Normally when this happens i just try again in 15-20 mins and manage to get in, but last night i tried closing down browser and restarting it as well but that didn't work either.

Again, with reference to myself, I very rarely set up before midnight and yet rarely have problems. Others also seem to mostly avoid problems otherwise there would be far more complaining than there has been? I just wonder if it could be something to do with your browser or anti-virus etc?

Not necessarily.  Surely a system issue would affect everyone and in the same way at the same times? 

We're only guessing so we can't know.

But if you, as someone who seems to be most heavily affected, are reluctant to examine the methods you use to log in (or try to log in) then I'm out of ideas.

Well do you use lap-top, phone, or tablet?  What make? What O/S?  What Browser? Which broadband provider? Then if anyone having similar problems sees similarities to them it'd be a clue?

And maybe it will turn out to be a problem at SL's end --- but until we know, at least you'd have made an effort .

if it was issue my end i don't understand why it would come and go but..

got a Toshiba laptop windows 10, virgin media. and i am currently logged in just fine.

On-line security?  I use AVG because, over the years, all the other major ones I've tried have given me grief of one kind or another. That only applies to me and my circumstances at the time while others have had no troubles --- but it sticks in the mind.

To borrow from a detective who didn't actually exist "when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth".  You haven't  tweeted anything rude about Putin (or anyone Chinese) recently have you?? 

And do you have SL on your phone? Most are too fiddly for the game (IMO) but, I have used mine to log in emergencies.  Maybe next time you are locked out you could try it?

And lastly, wait until you have a problem, get on here as soon as you are able and see if anyone else had a problem at the same time  and what they were using.   Solve the mystery and you could become an SL hero/legend.
