It wouldn't surprise me if olly said he will step aside and let poch come in maybe with a role still at the club. I dont actually think deep down he believes hes got all the attributes of a world class manager to win premier leagues, champions leagues and bring in the very best players and manage them well. I think Poch is a world class manager. He hasnt won anything granted and hes still learning alot. But what he did at southamption for the youth and players he brought through was imressive. He also had a solid side at spurs and they were playing really well as a team. He can clearly spot talent and get a good team spirit. I think hes a lot stronger mentally and dont take a lot of shit from the players.

I think it should happen, Im not sure if it will though.

He's nowhere near a world class manager. You can't be a world class manager if you bottle it in Cup Finals and Semis.

And if he does take over he will end up having the exact same problem that Ollie has had - he won't have enough money to spend. A club the size and stature of United having ~£100m to spend for the last two seasons is ridiculous.

Ollie needs to stay and be given the opportunity to build a side imo.

when i say world class manager i mean potentially he can be, He isnt now i agree.

Hes by far a better manager than oly will ever be. Im not even sure olly should be a manager.

Ollie will do fine as long as he's given the time to build a side. He's already started to get rid of the deadwood - Fellaini, Lukaku, Valencia, Smalling, Sanchez are all either gone or will be going.

Martial, Pereira and Lingard will be gone in the Summer.

Do you honestly believe that Pochettino would do any better with a side missing McTominay, Pogba and Rashford? That's our three best players gone.

We were narrowly knocked out of the League Cup Final, are still in the FA Cup, still in the Europa League and are still in for 4th place. Ollie isn't doing too bad considering he's only been able to field his strongest side twice this season.

We need to stick with Ollie.

No he probably couldn't do any better with the team atm. Im talking about in the long run, His tactical knowledge, His management skills and mentality. His man management skills the whole package. Poch is a far better manager than olliie and if you dont agree with that then your blinded by the thought you want ollie to do well.

Narrowly knocked out of the league cup ? We got absolutely battered by city in first leg they just took it easy second half. Also in the second leg as they were winning anyway.

We have lost far too many games against lesser teams which if we had won we would easily be in the top 4.

Will see what happens but i hope things change come end of the season.

I'd rather have almost ANYONE doing the job than Pochettino. He bottles it when it comes to winning trophies. This is why he has NEVER won a trophy in his entire managerial career. He just doesn't have what it takes.

We'll probably see an improvement in United's results just by having Fernandes in the side before you even start to think about Pogba, McTominay and Rashford being back (although I think we might not see Rashford back until the end of the season).

Okay. Own up. Who broke the bloody forum for a day or so?!!? :o ;D ;D ;D

Ollie continued his good record against the Big 6 by beating the Chelsea Rent Boys by 2 goals to nil. Helped by a dodgy VAR decision that stopped Maguire getting sent off in the first half though, although I do think that (if you watch the incident again in slow motion) BOTH players could have gone off. It looks like Maguire reacted to a stamp on his hip so if one has to go then they both should go. There was less contact on Maguire but it was still violent conduct.

So that's us 3 points behind Chelsea in 4th place and 2 points behind Spurs in 5th place.

And with City having a 2 season ban from Europe starting next season a 5th place finish will end up with a Champions League place next season. City will appeal it to death and probably get it reduced to 1 year I think, although I'm surprised that criminal charges haven't been filed tbh because they've committed fraud.

Chelsea have got some real tough matches coming up too. Mind you, saying that we'll probably get hammered by Watford on Sunday because they'll probably park the proverbial bus.

Fernandes has been pure class so far, makes you wonder where in the table we'd be if we had signed him in the Summer. Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up getting 5+ goals and 10+ assists before the end of the season. 8)

Back to a back 4 again for United. Team news:

De Gea

Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw

Fred Matic

Greenwood Fernandes James

Martial

Bench: Romero, Bailly, Williams, McTominay, Mata, Chongy, Ighalo

Happy with that side I think.

Watford the more dangerous side at the moment, quite an open game.

Brunooooooo!!!

Fernandes wins and scores a penalty. It's always a bit funny seeing him take pens because he always does a funny little jump after his run up just before he hits the ball. 😂😂😂

1-0 to United and Fernandes has scored his first of many here today. So that's 3 appearances, 1 goal and 1 assist so far. He'll end up scoring 5+ and assisting 10+ before the season is over I reckon.

United started growing into the game a bit more after around 20 minutes or so.

Bruno Fernandes the best player on the pitch by far in that second half.

Greenwood made it 3-0 and in the last 10 minutes a triple substitution - McTominay on for Fred, Chongy on for Greenwood and Ighalo on for Martial.

And that's United getting 3 points with a 3-0 win. 😎😁

So that leaves us in 5th place, 3 points behind Chelsea!

So bloody annoying that the board didn't allow Ollie to buy Fernandes in the Summer. We've definitely found our Pogba replacement.

Another 2 points dropped by Fat Frank again and the red scouse gits have FINALLY lost a match.

Big match for United tomorrow though, every game at the moment is a must win game.

If we can keep Fernandes fit we HAVE to be favourites to get 4th place. Chelsea have got the red scouse gits and Wolves as their last two games and we've got Spurs on 15th March and West Ham and Leicester in our last two games.

Makes you wonder where we would have been in the table if we had signed Fernandes in the Summer!!!  :o >:(
