Official Competitions

Upon a conversation with junior last week he has gave me the control of restarting/editing competitions.

There seems to be a lack of interest in these official gold tournaments now and was wondering if anyone has any ideas to make them more enticing again?

Bigger entrance fees so more prize credits?
Smaller fees to enter?
Re-naming official tournaments?

Any ideas from anyone?

Bring back the training benefits. That would make them interesting again.

Not sure if I can do that, I can edit Tournament names, edit entry fees and prize credits, amount of days to fill, and can make a competition an official one with a gold trophy

Would be cool if you could change the TCL K.O to a gold cup when it is created in the new season.
Also since you are in contact with Junior, can you get permission of him to set the TCL K.O phase entry free (0 credits). I don't receive any replies when trying to contact Junior. It's a bit annoying in my opinion to have to pay for both the group and knockout stages.

Once created yes I can change the champions league to a gold cup, and after looking into it, once a competition is created I can edit it to make it 0 credits to enter but any creator would have to spend 500 credits to start it

Once I edit the competition to 0 to enter it might refund the 500 to the creator but would have to test this on the first one

Like Cove said it would be good to have more training benefits although it would favour the more active players as the leagues wouldn't take long to fill.

Borg took it away. It sounds like you have similar access to what he had, but maybe not.

Have training benefits for lots of private leagues so that everyone can benefit.

As for training benefits situation - unfortunately some of you clearly don’t understand the game. So I will make it simple for you. If the competition is at the top separated from the rest (official) then it has training benefits. I took nothing away, never did. So that information is incorrect. Laughable.

For me, it should’ve been taken away ( it hasn’t been) as it just takes more money out of a game already in deep trouble. 500cr for 14 games of training. When managers should be spending 1400cr on friendlies. Just another nail in coffin. Thats my opinion. But I went with what managers wanted and it is still there....

As the current World Cup has just finished ( by me getting spanked by them imps again!), I was thinking of lowering the teams that can enter to 32 as it never even fills to that anymore anyway.

Was also thinking to changing the name of the Server cup to some sort of Terry Ricketts Memorial Cup.

Is anyone opposed to these ideas at all?
