The Simple Life...
« on: September 07, 2012, 08:38:25 PM »
I'm watching a series from 1965 called Undermind and watching these old series - along with those from the 70s, the 80s and even the early 90s - I wonder how we ever coped without mobile phones, digital cameras, computers smaller than a room and the internet.

Do you think we could cope if an EMP buggered all electronic equipment in the world..?

There's a new series in the States that's based on things going tits up, the name escapes me for the moment.

Millions of deaths would occur on planes, in hospitals and there would bound to be problems with nuclear power stations overheating.

I miss the days of the simple life, although I was only a kid at the time, and am quite confident I could cope but physically I'd be buggered if there's no electricity to keep my fridge on and my insulin cool.
